Why, it's the one and only Things That Bleed! Written by @ghostly-cabbage , @kkachis , and @artistfingers . In which it establishes the possibility of sometimes family being a child spy, a scary scary assassin, and an eldritch horror boy.

Recently went back for a ... I honestly lost count how many times I've re-read this story. It's a gift that just keeps on giving, sometimes I just like go back to get soaked in the Scenery of quiet and restless hotels and underground parking lots and long car rides. hohoho don't let these mundane elements deceive you >:)

One thing I like to imagine is the post-reveal relationship these three may have, when Alex and Yassen get comfortable around Danny's ghost form, how they might just sit around in some rundown motel figuring out the next course of action but like. With a fun-sized eldritch noodle spreaded out on the bedsheets. Draped over the TV. Curled up in the cool tub or mini fridge. Rolling and eeling under the bed. Letting Alex wear him like a scarf. Yeah... yeah.

I am not certain how soft and fluffy these three can be when they spend enough time (and experience some Horrors) together, so these may be a bit ooc. but, well. I had fun drawing and I have faith in them💪

Hello!! We're hoping soon! Our lives have been super crazy. Between jobs, classes and moving etc, the last few months have been pretty busy.

Alex Rider season 3 coming out soon definitely has us pumped and we'd really love to post chapter 10 as soon as we can! We'll do our best. Rest assured we miss our boys just as much as I'm sure our readers do 😭

I hc that the more fucked up and depressed the iteration of Danny is, the heavier his music taste is 💀 we know from canon that Danny is a fan of punk/pop-punk of the 00's era and it's not hard to go from punk to hardcore punk.

This is my way of Word Of God telling you that TTB!Danny's favorite band is Knocked Loose and his fave genre is Deathcore because it just makes sense <3 (here's a Knocked Loose song if anyone is interested but it is heavy hardcore punk so be warned)

Oh my GOD anon. You are speaking my language. YES a million times YES. I LOVE that song so much. I have so many playlists for Danny projects and I LOVE adding songs that have heavy amounts of distortion or subsonic bass 😍😍😍 (tho I technically have this song on my Rex playlist 👀 I should absolutely add it to the TTB playlist)

Do yall have any preference on Fan-Fanfiction of your work? Prospective 'I think this is what would happen next' oneshots, diverged timelines, etc? I have so much in my brain for this last chapters leave-off, but I know some writers prefer people don't post their own tangents of their work.

we're totally chill with people making fan-fanfiction of TTB, but don't expect us to read it or reblog those works to this blog—one of us might poke around out of curiosity, but we also want to tend to our own homegrown organic TTB brain worms :3 just make sure you credit us and we're all good!

how much of alex rider would you recommend someone read/watch to get the full experience of the fic? i know you've said you're making it understandable to people who haven't read/watched it, but i personally like knowing some backstory before reading fanfics! (apologies if this has been asked before!)

Hi! Thanks so much for this ask and sorry for the delay in answering! We are using a blended canon of the books and show (mostly bc the show is only in its second season so far) But we're also playing just as fast and loose with AR canon as we are the DP canon. That being said, our recommendation is to watch the AR show! (It's free to watch with ads). Even if you only watch a few episodes, it's really great to establish the tone that this fic is set in. (I would personally encourage you watch the entirety of the show becuase it's really just so well done and the three of us agree that it's... honestly better than the books. merely because of its more serious and darker tone. The books were written in the 00s-10s for kids and the show is adapting it in a way that reflects that they understand that their audience are all adults now.) Books wise, if you want to know more about Yassen, (one of the main characters of the fic) we ARE keeping Yassen's canon backstory; Russian Roulette, the Yassen origin solo novel, is a really great read and will give you TONS of context. Yassen is unfortunatly not a HUGE part of the AR book canon. He only shows up like 3-4 times in two of the books and then haunts the narrative for the remianing majority.

This scene in the newest chapter didn't leave my brain so I made a quick 2d animation over the weekend to get that out of my system.

I imagine Skinner looks like the "No-face" from the Ghibli movie "Spirited Away" in their corrupted form. And instead of the mask Skinner has a skull-like face as a head.

I made some small alteration than described for the animation to emphasize Skinners long neck.
