While I absolutely adore all historical costume, the Tudor era has to be one of my all time favourites. The luxurious textiles, the rich colours, the opulent details - it's truly heaven for a costume nerd like myself. Tudor fashion was heavily influenced by key figures in the royal court such as Catherine of Aragon and Anne Boleyn. Wealthier aristocratic women would demonstrate their status through their striking silhouettes, highly-embellished outer layers and ostentatious headdresses. While the clothing of lower classes remained much more simple than the upper class, the newly fashionable silhouette still trickled down through social strata.

Thank you for your services and what you did for me here but I need to go home now. I miss Edin and I want to see my niece and nephew.  

Gretchen: We aren’t done Edith. You can’t leave. I was told that until I feel like you are ready to go home, to keep you here.

PE: I wasn’t asking. If you will not arrange for transportation, give me my phone and I will do it. As your Crown Princess and future Queen, I order you to comply.

Gretchen: I am terribly sorry your grace but under the instructions of the Queen of Alexandra, your mother, I do not have to comply. I am sure if your mother wants you home, she will send for you. Besides, your brother and his wife need rest. You are progressing well your grace and I would hate that the trip home would be triggering to you in some way. Bring up old, forgotten memories. Try and get some rest now sweetheart and maybe go out tonight to celebrate the birth. I know it may seem that you are a prisoner here Edith, but know that I am helping you grow and together, we are helping Alexandra grow.

Tudarles Royal Family Announces Birth of Royal Twins! 

Outside the Windensailles Palace, the official residence of HM Queen Norah and the King Consort, Royal Watchers eagerly awaited the bulletin announcement of the Royal Twins birth. At 2:09 pm today, the easel was officially changed to mark the occasion a day after HRH Prince Henri and his wife, the Duchess of Wellington gave birth. 

Soon after, the Royal Family officially published a statement stating the names of the children and what their titles would be.

The Duke and Duchess Give Birth to Twins! 

After a whirlwind tour for the very pregnant Duchess of Wellington and the Duke of Wellington, it was suddenly cut short after a few weeks. The couple were seen entering St. Ignance Hospital after their private jet was seen landing at the Royal International Airport. Reports were spilling in that the Duchess was going into early labor and those reports turned out true when three days later the royal were seen exiting with not one but two babies in their arms. 

The Duchess seemed tired but was all smile for the cameras. Security was much tighter with both local, state, and the Queen’s Royal guard escorting the couple to their waiting car. After a few waves, the couple entered and are assuming to be returning to Wellington Manor to celebrate the news and start their lives as parents. 

As of right now, as with all royal births, no news on names for the twins but we are expecting that news will come later. Royal Watchers are have already started to gather at the Windensailles Palace awaiting the official birth announcement and the names. 

Both babies will 4th and 5th in line for the Alexandran throne and are the second and third grandchildren for Her Majesty Queen Norah I. 

Congratulations to HRH Prince Henri and HRH Victorine, Duke and Duchess of Wellington!

Pat Smith: It’s an honor to meet your Majesty. Thank you for inviting me into your household. 

QN: Let’s get past the pleasantries Ms. Smith. I called you here for a very specific reason.

PS: You must have read my piece on your daughter. I report on news your Majesty. You must understand that. I look for stories and I found one. A good one at that. No one is above the news. 

QN: Yes, of course. I am yet a citizen of Alexandra and my family and I fall under rules of this land. We are public figures and can be scrutinized like any other citizen but I have done my own research Ms. Smith and there are things that I know you aren’t proud of.

PS: You can’t threaten me. There is nothing in my past that I am ashamed of. Besides, who is going to care about the secrets of a lowly reporter? Do your worst.

QN: Oh Ms. Smith. I think you grossly underestimate what I can do and what I will do to protect this country and my family. You want fame and fortune. 

PS: And I will have it without your blood money. I can’t be bought. 

QN: I have had my own people investigating you. You have been meeting quite frequently with an Arsenio Malcolms. 

PS: My business. 

QN: Of course and this Aresenio Malcoms happens to work in my daughter’s household as a butler. A little more digging and it would seem that he came from a family of Nobles in the North. 

PS: Interesting facts. Why am I here? 

QN: I know you both are planning to hurt my daughter. To hurt my family. 

PS: You sound just as crazy as your daughter. If you don’t have anything else, if you don’t mind, I will be excusing myself your Majesty. 

QN: Have you found your sister Pat?

PS: What did you say?

QN: Sonja...have you found her? I know you are looking for her. It would be a shame if anything were to happen her. You would never know. 

PS: Are you threatening her life?

QN: I would never. I am the Queen. I make it my business to know important facts about different people.

PS: I...don’t say her name. 

QN: Help me help my family and I will give you all the information you need to help find her. 

PS: I’ve tried everything. I don’t have the means to support her. There’s nothing you or anyone...

Duchess Victorine: I’m happy to see your sister and mother today. It’s been too long. 

Prince Henri: I’m happy to see my sister. Whenever I see my mother, she usually wants something from me. I’m not in the mood.

DV: Be positive. Remember, you are here for Edith. She needs your support.

PH: She’s refused to see me for weeks. She refused my calls.

DV: She’s hurting and lonely. Your mother said she broke down. This can’t be easy for her. Family is all she has right now.

PH: That’s why you are going to be a great mother. You are so kind and caring. I love you.

DV: You too Henri. 

PH: We should move to the country. Away from the palace. Raise our children on a farm. I can work the land and get a tractor and you can...

DV: Milk cows all day? Collect eggs from chickens? I don’t think that’s the life I envisioned for myself Henri. I would be bored. Now a Prince’s wife. That’s the life for me. It would be nice if you were a King but I guess you’ll do. 

PH: Oh, I’ll do? Come here my princess. Kiss me. 

DV: Do you think it could happen? 

PH: What? Become King? No. Edith wouldn’t give up the throne and what about Edin?

DV: Of course. 

Emma: Excuse me your royal highnesses. Before seeing the Crown Princess, her Majesty the Queen requests an audience with you immediately in the picture gallery. 

Prince Henri: Of course. 

Queen Norah: Which is why I want you to take on more engagements Henri. You will be covering for Edith while she is on bedrest for the next couple of weeks. Her therapist and doctor both suggested this would be best. I’m also thinking about sending her abroad for a bit after she makes a statement to the press. You will take the lead since your wife looks like she will give birth any day now. How are you feeling Victorine?

Duchess Victorine: I’m well your majesty. Thank you for asking. If I may, I would like to do these engagements with Henri. I feel like having both of us there will show the people that our family is still united. 

QN: *Takes a sip of tea*  Don’t overdo it. We all have a tendency to do that. I care about you and the health of my grandchild. 

DV: Of course.

QN: I am working to smooth over Edith’s “image” to our people. Kalvin came on to her to try to increase his fame and record sales. He used her during a vulnerable time in her life. Unfortunately their romance ended when he went to war and when she became pregnant with Edin, she realized how much she loved Tyler and that if they worked hard, they could get through the rough patch they were having. That is the narrative we are going to present to the public. Henri, for your first event, I want you to appear at the Foundation of...

Prince Henri: I’m not doing it. I need to be at home to take care of Victorine. She’s 8 months pregnant. 

Duchess Victorine: I’m fine Henri.

Queen Norah: Great. Then it’s settled. I’m going to check on your sister. I will call you up in a few minutes. She’s just waking up.

*Queen Norah exits*

Prince Henri: Why do you do that?

Duchess Victorine: Do what?

PH: We need to be a united front when my mother is involved in our lives or she will drive us to insanity like she did to Edith. She did that to Edith. 

DV: Edith made a few mistakes and unfortunately she is facing the consequences of her actions.  

PH: Trusting my mother was her biggest mistake.
