we don’t know who caleb is. we don’t know who his witch was. or how they met. or anything. and the point is that it doesn’t matter. it doesnt matter if he ran away or if he was taken or anything. what does matter is that his brother killed him for being even remotely involved with the thing they were supposed to kill. even the possibility of him being sympathetic to these people. his brother didnt hear him out. the whole point is that it showcases phillip’s values. that under any and all circumstances he is right. he has to right. and he will do anything to be right. even kill his brother for it.
