For those patients in need of detoxification from drugs and alcohol, Maryland Addiction Recovery Center offers a safe and comfortable medically supervised detox under the care of the center’s Medical Director. 
Upon entering treatment, each client is evaluated by the Medical Director to gain insight about their medical history, current use and abuse of drugs and alcohol and detoxification needs. 
At that point, the client is provided treatment through the use of appropriate medication and/or referred to off-site medical specialists.

Montgomery County PA addiction treatment and recovery resources. Rather alarmingly it was reported by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that the number of drug overdose deaths in Pennsylvania is increasing more rapidly than drug deaths in any other state in the nation.

The CDC specifically highlighted that in the year from July 2016 to July 2017 drug overdose deaths rose by a staggering 43.4% at 5,443 deaths from 3,797. Many think that drug addiction is a ‘Black thing’, a ‘Hispanic thing’ … but mostly … it is a ‘White thing.’ Caucasians are over 70% of those seeking Heroin treatment alone. 
Putting color on a nationwide crisis does not help. Clearly, we are all in this crisis together. This drug epidemic fueled by the rise of Fentanyl (an opiate) and Heroin has now become more deadly than gun violence and car accidents. It is a crisis, and it is real. 
The highest death rates across the US came in West Virginia, Pennsylvania, and Ohio. Treatment and recovery from addiction is the only way forward for users, and so a huge amount of support and self-will is needed to get an addict from addicted to recovery. 
Once you have fought hard for your sobriety, one of the easiest ways to relapse is to start hanging with old friends and in your same old haunts around Montgomery County PA. 
Some feel they can handle this and can just ‘abstain’ from their drug and keep their old life intact. This rarely works. That is why we encourage those who want to stop, to go and get ‘out’ of their routine. 
You are basically creating a new life of sobriety (whether from alcohol, opiates or any other drug) from the ground up. Create new friends, new circles of people who do not abuse drugs. 
People who will encourage (or at least not discourage you) on your path to recovery. Montgomery County PA has many resources open to addiction recovery. You are not alone.

12 tips to end alcoholism
"For years, I convinced myself that I was not an alcoholic," says Paul Carr in The Wall Street Journal, after successfully abstaining from drinking a single drop of alcohol for 878 days. He explains that he was not so addicted as to get up short, and that he could spend a day or two without drinking, but that when he drank he could not stop until he he collapses, drunk dead. He had realized that his drinking had gone beyond the stage of amusement, and that it had become a mania that could kill him. Nevertheless, he had managed to keep his friends and his work. The first commandment of Alcoholics Anonymous, according to which alcoholics admit they are "helpless in the face of alcohol", discouraged him from using alcohol. Carr chose her own recipe to stop drinking. Here are his rules:
Step 1 - Ask yourself, "Do I have a problem?"
Enjoying being drunk with friends from time to time, or drinking regularly a drink or two does not mean that you are an alcoholic. Getting drunk can be funny. If you can drink without destroying your life, do not let anyone stop you from doing it.
Step 2 - Formalize your stop of the drink
It is absolutely impossible for an alcoholic to stop drinking in secret. The average alcoholic is unable to refuse a drink, and drinking opportunities are innumerable. By saying it around you, if only to your closest circle of friends, you can rest assured that these people will not offer you a drink. Every person you meet every day must know that you are looking for a chance to win.
Step 3 - Do not be afraid of failures
If you fail once, do not make a drama, it's human. Give yourself another chance, and try to understand what made you crack. But if you start again, admit that you have failed, and talk about it. You will probably receive many offers of support and congratulations for your honesty. Use these incentives to redouble your efforts.
Step 4 - Find the shape
Carr was overweight when he was an alcoholic, but he did not want to go on a diet or start a physical activity. However, he began to lose weight naturally, and from day to day, he felt better and better. The satisfaction of feeling better from the inside was a real bonus, he explains.
Step 5 - Stop lying
Carr had always tended to tell lies to explain his delays, vague answers when asked where he had spent the previous night, etc. He decided to stop lying at the same time as quitting drinking. All is not perfect but he realized "that the truth almost always allows getting a better reaction than the lie".
Step 6 - Stop excusing yourself
In the weeks that will follow your stop of the alcohol, your friends will probably support you, but the truth is that they will expect that you fail in more or less short time. Excuses during this period will have little impact, because the only thing they will expect of you is to stop drinking, and it's also the best thing you can give them.
Step 7 - Rediscover the art of seduction
Carr says it's getting tough to meet women, because there's a concern about when to explain why you drink only soft drinks. But all his reserves had vanished at the second appointment he had with the woman who is now his companion. She had read her blog, and she had started the conversation about her alcoholism in a very direct way, before telling her that she appreciated her honesty. "Alcohol helped me to be less shy with women; sobriety allows me to be even less so.
Step 8 - Replace your strange drinking trips with strange stretches of sober person
One of the nice things about alcoholism is the unusual stories and unconventional encounters that would not have happened otherwise. Carr organizes adventurous little adventures to find themselves in the situations that allow these interesting encounters. For example, he spent a month in Las Vegas spending each night at a different hotel, which allowed him to meet with the Mayor of Las Vegas, fight with the magician Criss Angel and get thrown out of the house. a poker club while interviewing a clown. "The best thing is that I remember everything," he says.
Step 9 - Have fun with objects you will not lose
Carr had lost the habit of buying beautiful items because he tended to lose them every time he was intoxicated. At the end of his six months of abstinence, he had offered himself a beautiful fountain pen - a pocket-sized gift that reminded him that he had accomplished something, and that he was no longer in danger of losing.
Step 11 - Work better, not only harder or smarter
Carr had businesses to support his alcoholism, and not for the pleasure of work. But when he became sober, he had recreated a company with the goal of attaching it as a project in itself.
Step 12 - Forget everything you just read
"The chances that what has worked for me are working for you are very slim," concludes Carr.
The real secret to staying sober, and to repair all the broken aspects of your life, is to take the time to understand the causes of your addiction and the aspects of your character that you can rely on to overcome. For this, you should write down the list of what you like with alcohol, and find out how you can maintain these things by refraining from drinking. Then you have to think about what part of your personality will lead you to stay sober.
