Corruption Carnival Chapter one section one:

Ada: “I guess this is the place.”

Looking up from phone at the carnival sign.

Ada: “Sigh”

Walks towards carnival

Ada thinking: ”*Pretty dirty here, it's like no one has been here in years.*”

Walking steps in black goo

Ada: “AH!” Looking at the goo

Ada thinking: ”*What is that?*”

Ada squinted her eyes getting a closer look and the goo blinks at her and grabs her.

Ada wakes up feeling something slimy on her

Ada: “Eck! What are you?”

The slime puddle looks at her not saying anything

Ada looked around in shock

Ada: “What is this place…”

Carnival music and people walking around

Crimson: “Top o mornin to ya lassie!”

A tall humanoid man stood in front of her with the slime creature in hand as he hoisted her up

Crimson: “I've seen that you've met my good friend Goob!”

Holding Goob out

Crimson: “I'm Crimson, it's such a pleasure to meet you!”

Shaking hand aggressively

Ada: “Uh where am I?”

Looking around scared

Crimson: “Ah well you're at the Corruption Carnival!”

Ada: “I have to be dreaming right!”

Ada: “This isn't real.”

Crimson: “If this is a dream you wouldn't be able to eat this delicious caramel apple!”

Shoves a apple in her mouth that is infested with bugs, Ada spits it out

Ada: “That's disgusting!”

Crimson: “Suit yourself lass.”

Tosses the apple

Ada: “What even are you!”

Crimson: “Were the corrupted.”

Tilting head

Crimson: “Were the lucky souls who have not been fully submerged.”

Crimson takes a huge step forward pulling Ada along

Ada: “Fully submerged?”

Raising eyebrow trying to keep up

Crimson: “Right lassie! You see those poor souls!”

Pointing to a huge tower that seems to have souls swarming it

Crimson: “Those poor fellas have been fully submerged and now serve the corruption.”

They kept walking, Ada looking at the souls

Ada: “Where are you taking me?”

Crimson: “Lassie I'm taking you to the best damn fortune teller the carnival has!”

Looking back at her

Crimson: “And we'll need to sort out your little problem.”

Crimson shoved her inside a small purple tent where a woman sat with a crystal ball

Crimson: “Crystal! Darling, I have brought you a visitor.”

The woman turned to them

Crystal: “I told you no more Crimson. I will not recreate what happened the last time.”

Crimson: “Crystal honey this time is different. This one is a-”

He whispers to Crystal

Ada looked around the tent seeing the weird blue slime again looking at her

Crystal: “Crimson you really think-”

Crimson cuts her off

Crimson: “I don't think love, I know Miss Ada will be the one.”

Ada turned around in shock

Ada: “You know my name?”

Crimson: “Lassie…”

He chuckled

Crimson: “I know more than just your name dear.”

Ada: “Wha-”

Crimson sat her down, Crimson sat down crossing his legs

Ada: “What is this all about, why am I here? Am I dead!”

Ada kept rambling questioning everything around her

Ada: “I need to get home, my family will be worried!”

Crimson: “Sh sh shhh.”

This was all so new for her like some fantasy novel

Crimson: “Give us time to explain… everything.”
