It’s so funny to me that people doubt that Superman’s civilian disguise works because I’m a drag performer and one of the biggest problems I face is trying to ID other performers THAT I ALREADY KNOW.

Oh, you’ve changed your makeup and you’re wearing a different wig? Oh hi, have we met?

Don’t even get me started on meeting performers out of drag - I’ve introduced myself to the same queen five times at this point. And this is a queen who regularly goes to my shows and who is a decently big name in the local scene. Beyond just other people looking different out of drag, my mindset switches so dramatically going drag to out of drag that if I meet a performer in drag and then see them out of drag, sometimes I still won’t remember them properly.

And I know it’s a common problem in the scene from discussions I’ve had with other performers.

Superman’s villains (and frankly his allies) are definitely too distracted trying to keep track of anyone else to even notice that the clumsy farm boy at the Daily Planet is him.

In a press conference held by the Palestinian Civil Defence in Gaza earlier today, they confirmed that they estimate 10,000 missing people remain missing under the rubble and that, with their very limited means right now, in order to be able to locate and exhume these bodies, the operation could take up to three years. Until then, these 10,000 are not counted among the casualties.

As summer approaches, the trapped bodies are going to be a major source of illnesses and epidemics are expected to spread. Already, there are 20,000 cases of hepatitis in Gaza.

All of this of course is made infinitely more difficult by Israel blocking fuel from entering while it continues to target civil defence vehicles. As a matter of fact, Rafah now has only 3 functioning fire trucks according to a Palestinian Civil Defence spokesperson.

Like you don't get to call Marjorie Taylor Green an NRA whore, or misgender Caitlyn Jenner, or be antisemitic to Ben Shapiro. It doesn't work like that. Hannah Montana is fucked up because its entire POINT as a show is that children should be protected from fame and exploitation, but it stars a REAL little girl that's being exploited. Nearly every episode carries the looming threat of Miley being outed as Hannah and losing her peaceful teenage life to the ravages of fame. Her father in the show (played by her own father in real life) wisely protected her from the trauma of fame by making her wear a disguise and live a rather quiet, interview-free life. Meanwhile the REAL Billy Ray Cyrus sold his daughter to Disney Channel when she was 11 and forced her to read dialogue about how terrible it would be to face the public eye. Like... Jesus, dude. The fictional Robby Ray is 10x the father, and it's not even close. (It's also IMMENSELY funny that her dad doesn't use his real name in the show, while she does. Almost like he wanted a bit of a disconnect between his identity and his character. Something Miley didn't get.)
