I'm getting so pissed with people who are saying Gwen isnt trans. Like they're trying to explain why her dad has a trans patch on his jacket and why she has a trans flag in her room, by saying she supports trans people... wtf???? Literally what ally has a TRANS FLAG, IN THEIR ROOM, BECAUSE THEY SUPPORT TRANS PEOPLE??? That's some shit closeted me would tell my parents when they saw me drawing rainbows. I miss the pre-New 52 Tim and Jason dynamic so much. It was basically Jason beating the fuck out of Tim well being all "nothing personal kid I just hate everything about you, your existence and the fact you're breathing right now" and Tim spitting up blood going "what if your mother was a whore, kill yourself" and Jason just deciding right then and there that this kid is his favourite person. Then it just turned into a Tom and Jerry hunt across the city where Jason keeps hitting Tim with the "join me, be my robin" and Tim kicks him in the balls.

I too despise (more or less) Dick's time as a cop, but I do think it's an excellent source of comedy (if you're as unserious as I am):

Dick forgetting they have to wait for warrants, the inevitable reveal that he's the son of a billionaire, Dick getting slightly confused and accidentally sharing evidence Nightwing found rather than the cops, Dick throwing random objects with incredible accuracy to take down suspects rather than using his firearm, Dick getting deeply frustrated when their department issue vehicle gets totalled (he tried driving through something). Dick vanishing and abandoning his partner when he gets breakthroughs, Dick complaining that the department issued boots are messing with his ability to kick and walk normally/balance on shit. Dick taking every opportunity to criticize department training and protocols as a rookie, insisting that 12 year olds in Gotham spend more time learning hand to hand. Dick accidentally making the same sarcastic comment as Dick Grayson and Nightwing to the Commisioner (the man didn't remember at all).

Fanfic tiktok is wild... I see so many people saying shit like "I could never read anything below 60k!!", or "What story can you even tell in under 5k words?" or "A oneshot below 10k isn't even a story!" or "I always filter completed fics by 100k< only!"

And I'm like...

A) which fandoms are you reading fics for where you have this kind of offerings on the regular?

B) have you heard of short stories? If you truly think every story NEEDS to be longform to connect with people, I sincerely feel sorry for you.

C) Average novel length is between 50k to 100k. I'm sorry, but CONSISTENTLY demanding fic writers to push out fics of that length is insane. Just think about it: YOU DEMAND AUTHORS TO PUT OUT FICS THAT COMPARE TO COMMERCIAL NOVELS IN LENGTH (AND QUALITY) AS A BASELINE.

Yall are wilding.
