Hello! May I request 20 for Tsuzuru from the prompt list? :0 Thank you!
Tumblr media
Hello!! Thank you for the kind words  ♡(。- ω -) I hope y’all don’t mind me combining these two prompts. lmao I based this off of some of my experiences during my college days. All-nighters are a terrible but necessary evil, and Tsuzuru is honestly a mood
19. “God, you are so fucking cute.” 20. “I love you, but I need you to go away because you’re really bloody distracting and I have to pass this test tomorrow.”
“Tsuzuroon~” you call out to your boyfriend as you practically slam open the door to his room. “I bring you sustenance!” Making your way over to the desk where the prone blob you called your boyfriend was hunched over on, you take out a couple of Americanos from your takeout bag. “Come on, I even brought coffee!”
At this, the blob perks up, revealing Tsuzuru from under a huge comforter, eyes blearily searching for his source of caffeine. Nonplussed, you hand it over to him, and lightly pinch his cheeks once he is able to take a sip.
“God, you are so fucking cute.”
He pulls your hands from his face and leads you over to his couch. “We’re studying tonight, remember? We gotta ace that exam tomorrow.”
You scoff at him. “You mean you have to ace that exam. I got exempted, remember?”
“Then why are you here?” he teases you lightly.
Deciding to have some fun, you put your hand flat against your heart. “Is that how you treat the person who so lovingly came over and gave you coffee?” you say in a dramatic voice, turning towards to the door. “If that’s how it is, I guess I should just leave then!”
You are about to make a break for it when Tsuzuru shoots up and grabs your hand, laughing. “Sorry, sorry!”
You refuse to deign him with a response, turning the other way, biting your lip to keep your act up and avoid laughing.
Tsuzuru responds by whirling you around to face him. “Come on, help your boyfriend out, please?”
Giving an exaggerated sigh, you plop back down onto his couch. “Well, if I have to…”
The night goes on with you two going over Tsuzuru’s course material. Eventually, you come to terms with the fact that you’ll be staying the night considering how late it’s gotten, and ask your boyfriend for some clothes you could sleep in. He quickly digs through his closet and gives you a gray t-shirt and some sweatpants.
“You know where the bathroom is, right?” he calls out as he returns to his notes.
“Yep! I got it.”
You make your way over to the bathroom and change, noting with dismay that the clothes are too big for you – you have to roll the bottom of the sweatpants up several times to avoid tripping over them, and one side of the t-shirt hangs off your shoulder.
‘Buck up – it’s not like you have any other options.’
And with that thought in mind, you go back to Tsuzuru’s room. As you sit down across from him, Tsuzuru nods to you in greeting, then takes a second take, cheeks turning red. Knowing your state of dress, you decide to just let it be. Looking over Tsuzuru’s work, you bite your lip – a habit of yours that tends to manifest when you’re deep in thought. Suddenly, Tsuzuru starts coughing. Alarmed, you go over to him and rub your hand over his back, trying to soothe the coughing fit.
“…water…” he gasps in between coughs.
You get the water bottle from his nightstand and hand it over to him. After a couple of gulps, he sets the bottle down, and you notice his face is red again.
“Hey… are you feeling alright?”
“Perfectly fine.” He replies in a tight voice.
“Are you sure?” you say, chalking up his strange behavior to sleep deprivation – it wouldn’t be the first time, after all. “What time is it, anyway?”
You check your phone, and the time 2:38AM flashes back at you. Looking at the time, you feel a sudden wave of drowsiness overtake you, and you raise your arms, stretching your back with a yawn. You can’t help but let a few mewls escape from your lips as you are able to get the cricks out of your back.
A thud echoes through the room as Tsuzuru hastily stands up and accidentally knocks over some of his studying materials. Still in mid-stretch, you arch an eyebrow in question at him, which seems to make his face even redder.
“You need to leave.”
“…I’m sorry?”
You watch as your boyfriend drags his hands down his face, groaning in frustration. “Look, I love you, but I need you to go away because you’re really bloody distracting and I have to pass this test tomorrow.”
The cogs in your head turn as you process his statement. As you realize what he said, a sly grin creeps onto your face.
“Distracting?” you drawl, standing up to wrap your arms around his neck, invading his personal space. You draw your face close to his and whisper, “You mean like this?”
And with that, you find yourself on the other side of Tsuzuru’s door, laughter bubbling from your lips.
A few seconds pass, and your boyfriend comes out, handing you a hoodie.
“Let’s go buy some energy drinks from the convenience store.” He mutters, taking your hand in his.
You squeeze his hand in response, and chirp, “Apology accepted!”

#7 with the muse of your choice pls :3
Hi, dear! Sorry this took so long - things have been crazy at work <(_ _)>
pls allow me to choose sakyo x izumi as my muses ahaha once i saw the prompt i just knew it had to be them *takes place in somewhat canon-verse, before the new Autumn Troupe’s formation*
7. “I promised you that I would be with you forever, but you were the one who left me behind.”
After years of trying to forget her, Sakyo can’t believe that he found Izumi again at the exact same place where he first met her.
His childhood crush and dream of acting were quickly crushed, however, when she showed no signs of remembering him. Quickly brushing aside his rekindled feelings, he assumed his business personality, giving her an ultimatum. Of course, he expected her to fail – there was no reviving washed up dreams, after all – but she miraculously managed to wrangle two new members into joining the company. With that, he decided to humor their pipe dream by giving them a new set of terms and conditions.
When asked by his colleagues about what happened to collecting the debt he tells them that it was done on a whim, but in reality? He was interested in seeing just how far the little girl who sparked his first dream to life could take this.
Weeks pass and he hears no news from the theater, so he decides to drop by. The actors trickle into the practice room one by one, but the person that Sakyo truly wants to see is nowhere to be found. His patience wears thin as they conspicuously whisper about him so when Izumi finally makes her appearance, he is more short-tempered than usual.
“Have the tickets for closing night sold out yet?”
“That… that is – “ she stammers, apprehension visible on her face.
“You fail even if there’s only one empty seat.” He snaps, inching a bit closer to her.
This prompts the troupe members to move in front of Izumi, forming somewhat of a barricade between them.
“I get it already!” Izumi says, seeming unperturbed by the younger men’s actions.
Sakyo scoffs at their display of camaraderie. “Good, then.”
As he walks out with a flourish, he can’t help but feel a twinge of envy at how quickly they’ve all become attached to one another. Walking out of the building, he slows down his pace, trying to calm himself down.
‘If, no – when they fail, I won’t have to deal with this nonsense anymore.’
The girl and the Mankai Company will be a faint memory he can finally let go of.
But then closing night comes sooner than he expected, and he finds himself barging into backstage where they seem to be in high spirits over their full house. He narrows his eyes at them, regarding them with utter disdain. The ragtag team of actors Izumi managed to rally together are getting too comfortable, and he needs to put them in their place.
Maybe it’s nostalgia taking over him as he regards the director, but instead of berating them for being complacent, he ends up giving a full-blown lecture on how to keep the company up and running. Suddenly, he’s interrupted by Izumi’s laughter.
“What’s so funny?” Sakyo snaps. “Pay attention when someone’s talking.”
“No, I just thought that you’re actually a nice guy; you keep looking after us.” She says, giving him a smile that he recognizes all too well from his youth.
Sakyo feels the tips of his ears burning, and before anyone can notice, he quickly tells Sakoda to get a move on. Right before he closes the door, however, he decides to leave with one last statement, wondering if she would catch on.
“Today’s theater reminds me of the past.” He says, directing a small grin towards Izumi. Before she can comment, he rushes out the door.
Later that night, Sakyo notices the lights of the theater still on.
‘It couldn’t be…’ he thinks, making his way through the doors. There on stage is Izumi, observing the set with a small smile on her face. ‘I wonder if she got to live out her dream as an actor.’
“Why are you making an expression like you got the job done?” he finds himself blurting out.
Predictably, Izumi whirls around, flustered at his sudden appearance. “You haven’t gone home yet, Sakyo?”
“The lights were still on, so I came to check if there was anyone suspicious hanging around.”
Izumi looks at him with a gaze that he can’t quite decipher, making him look away due to the awkward atmosphere.
“This is not the time to be slacking off, you know. You’ve only finished one performance – you still have to hold three more and gather fifteen new members.”
“Three performances… fifteen new members…” Izumi murmurs, a pensive yet determined look on her face.
Satisfied, a smirk plays across his lips. “It seems you’ve finally come to your senses. Keep up the pace.”
The look on Izumi’s face turns into something else, and Sakyo can feel his feelings from the past bubble up to the surface once more.
“Sakyo, you don’t actually hate this theater, right? It seems you know about its past, too.
“Hm. I wonder.” He murmurs, hastily changing the topic, hoping that she doesn’t notice the light flush of his face. “So, have you fixed your eye on some new members for the Summer Troupe?”
“I’ll be holding an audition but there are some people I already have in mind.”
“Oh?”
“Yep! So you better look forward to Summer Troupe’s play, okay?”
“Heh. We’ll see.”
He leaves the theater that night feeling more lighthearted than he has for a long time.
Weeks pass and he just can’t get the thought of the Mankai Company out of his head. Seeing how comfortable and open Izumi was with the new troupe made Sakyo feel things he thought he had closed his heart to a long time ago.
‘Perhaps it’s time for another visit.’
This time when Sakyo arrives at the practice room, the new troupe is so rowdy that they don’t even notice him. Seeing them interact so candidly with one another has him reminisce about the old troupe.
...That is, until they start arguing. As things become more chaotic, their refreshing image that they had going for them immediately vanishes.
‘Never mind, I take it back.’
“Is this a zoo…” he says loudly, room going silent from his sudden input.
Izumi turns to face him. “Since when did you arrive?!”
“I’ve been watching the practice up until now.”
As the two stare at each other, waiting for the other to make the next move, Sakyo’s ears pick up the not-so-surreptitious whispers of the troupe, hearing words like ‘yakuza’ and ‘consultant’, which only serve to further piss him off.
“Oi, what are you mumbling about?”
“Why did you come?” Izumi asks, drawing his attention back to her.
“I just wanted to check whether you could pay back the debt. Judging by this, I guess it’d be difficult.”
She bares her teeth at him in a display of defiance. “If it’s about our play, we’re doing just fine.”
Despite himself, he can’t help but tease her. “The success of Spring Troupe’s play was pure luck. Don’t think that you can manage it again this time.”
Seeing the looks of apprehension of the people in the room, he goes off on another lecture, just to spite them.
“Oi, are you listening?”
Izumi looks likes she suddenly snapped out of a daze. “Y-yes, I understood!”
Sakyo regards her for a moment before storming out, suddenly feeling out of place with all of the Summer Troupe’s eyes on him.
This time even faster than the last, closing night for the Summer Troupe rolls around. Instead of making his way backstage, however, he stays in his seat, losing himself in the memory of the good old days.
‘She’s doing perfectly fine on her own, huh…’
His eyes close as he thinks back to his childhood memories with Izumi. Slowly, they become replaced with this newer, confident version of her that leads without hesitation, getting along with her new peers while leaving him to fade away.
‘I promised you that I would be with you forever, back then… But it looks like you were the one who left me behind.’
“Sakyo!” her voice calls out to him, and he quickly pulls himself back into reality.
‘That’s all in the past. This is your present situation with her. Suck it up and accept it.’
“What is it? Did you come to return the money?” he asks, reminding himself to keep his distance.
“No!” she quickly shoots back. He raises his eyebrows at her reaction, and her cheeks flush from his scrutiny. “Th-that’s not it…”
“Hm. I had my doubts when I saw that article, but it seems you’re doing well.” He stands up and slowly walks towards her. “But don’t lose your focus yet. Remember, if you fail to attract more audiences, I’ll crush the theater.”
Seeing the blank look on her face, he sighs, deciding to throw her a bone and give her some more advice. “Remember, in order to increase your profits, you should probably consider merchandise. And then – “
“W-wait a minute!” she suddenly interrupts, throwing her hands out in front of her. “I didn’t come here to hear your lecture!”
“…What is it, then?”
She draws even closer to him, determined eyes focused on his face, lifting her hand up as if reaching out to him. He tries his hardest to not blush from her actions.
“You sure have the guts to glare at a yakuza. If you’re looking for a fight – “
“What are you saying?!” she sputters, reeling back.
“That should be my line. Staring at a guy’s face too much will give him ideas.” He berates her, willing his heart to calm down. “And… why are you looking at me that way, anyway?”
Suddenly, a flyer is shoved into his face.
“Hey. Don’t just push paper at a person’s face! Are you trying to kill me?!”
‘Don’t do that. Don’t get close. Don’t get my hopes up.’ He thinks. Shaking his head as if it would make the thoughts go away, he snatches the paper from her hands.
“What is this anyway… a pamphlet?”
“It’s a pamphlet for Autumn Troupe’s audition.”
“…What is the meaning of this?”
“I want to scout you.”
He’s honestly stunned. Of all the things that she would have asked of him, he never expected this. He quickly schools his face into one of indifference, however, unwilling to get his hopes up and let his walls down for her.
“To think that you’d even scout a yakuza.” He says, brushing her off. “You must be really desperate, huh.”
And then she does the unexpected.
She remembers him.
As she explains her suspicions about his past with the theater to him, he zones out, lost in the past, back in time when it was them against the world. A time when he relied on her, and in return, he vowed to become a person that she could rely on, too. But after all these years, it seemed that she was doing perfectly fine on her own… without him.
“Please come to the audition. I’m begging you.”
He takes in her determined stance and familiar glint in her eyes – reminiscent of the girl he used to know, but now fully bloomed and confident in her own skin. A wave of fondness for her washes over him, and he finally allows himself to welcome it with open arms.
“You’ve become a competent director, huh.”
Sakyo smiles at Izumi, a genuine smile that stuns her into silence. Chuckling, he ruffles her hair and her cheeks redden at the familiarity she feels from the action.
“But you still look like a little girl to me.”
Izumi can only sputter incoherently as Sakyo heads for the exit.
“I’ll think about it.” He says, sparing her a glance back. “Bye.”
Before he can close the door, he hears her voice ring out, “You should totally come! I’ll wait for you, Sakyo!”
Maybe he could fulfill his promise to her, after all.

2. “Can I kiss you?”
HELLO ANON THANK U FOR THIS REQUEST. NATSUGUMI’S NEW EPISODE HAS ME ON A SUMMER HYPE TRAIN ( U W U )
The two of you are walking back to your place – Kazunari offered to walk you back to make sure you got home safely after the latest mixer you two attended. Surprisingly, Kazunari wasn’t chatting your ear off about all the new friends he made, leaving you to your thoughts. Maybe it was the drinks you had, but when a certain thought crossed your mind, you couldn’t help yourself from blurting out.
“Hey, Kazu…” you start, pausing in your stride.
Kazunari immediately notices you’re no longer beside him and turns around, regarding you with a glint in his eye that you can’t quite decipher. “Hm? What’s up?”
“Can I kiss you?”
His eyes widen in shock, jaw dropping for a few seconds before he quickly covers it up with a forced laugh. “Nice one! You almost got me there.”
Mustering up your courage, you plow on. “Kazunari. Really. I’m serious.”
Kazunari immediately quiets himself, a solemn expression taking over his face. “What brought this up?”
You scramble for the right words to say, suddenly embarrassed. “It’s - it’s just…You’re always inviting me to mixers but I never seem to hit it off with anyone.” Glancing back at him, you see that his face has gone blank, and you hurriedly try to shut down the conversation. “I dunno it’s stupid I know, right? I’ve never been kissed before and –“
You’re suddenly cut off by the feeling of Kazunari pressing his lips against yours. In your shock, you can only blink at his actions. As he starts to pull away, you immediately press yourself back to him, clenching the front of his shirt with your hands. After what seems like an eternity, you pull back, gazing into Kazunari’s eyes.
“…How was that?” he asks through hooded eyes, a dazed look on his face.
“I… I’m…” you mumble, tracing your hands up to his shoulders. “Can we try that again?”
Kazunari immediately complies, one hand reaching to caress the back of your head as he pulls you closer to him by your waist before sealing your lips with his once more.

I started writing this way back when, when I was in a bad headspace. Finally found the courage to post it.
Trigger warning for depictions of depression.
Established Sakyo x Reader!Director.
“I’m home.” you weakly call out as you open the door to the Mankai dorms.
Mercifully, a majority of the actors are out, so only a few members come out into the vicinity to greet you.
‘I’m just not in the mood.’
Mustering up what little positive energy you have left, you force a smile on your face and greet your actors back. Once they seem satisfied with your response, they resume their own activities, leaving you to trek to your room.
As you shuffle through the corridor, the lively chatter that echoes through the halls fades into white noise while your dark thoughts possess you. Without even realizing it, you’re already in your bed, flopped face down on top of your unmade sheets, not even bothered to have taken off your shoes.
Your mind finally catches up to the current situation, only to further reinforce your fatigue, and slumber quickly finds you as a wave of hollowness washes over.
You wake up to someone flicking your bedroom lights on. Still, you feel markedly unrefreshed despite the 4 hour nap the clock informs you of.
Can it even be called a nap if you slept for 4 hours straight?
You shield your eyes from the blinding fluorescent lights and squint blearily at the figure that stands in your doorway.
“Dinner time.” Sakyo says, opening the door a bit wider.
Slowly, you sit up, taking your time to register his words.
“Okay.” you mumble, nodding absentmindedly.
Your eyes fixate on the splash of color your wallpaper provides, a stark contrast to your inner feelings.
I don’t want to feel anything anymore.
Seconds… minutes pass as you sit in bed. Even the mere effort of getting up and out of bed is a chore in and of itself.
Distantly, you can hear Sakyo calling your name but it doesn’t really register in your mind until you feel a gentle grip on your arm.
You meet Sakyo’s eyes and there’s a hint of emotion - pity, maybe? - that makes tears well up in your eyes for reasons that even you can’t fully explain yourself.
“Come on,” he says gently. “It may not make you feel particularly better, but your body still needs energy.”
You feel your heart swell a bit (in gratitude? melancholy?) and find yourself nodding along to his words. You don’t necessary like it, but he does have a point.
Thus, you allow yourself to be pulled along and over to the dinner table where several of the company’s members have already started eating. Upon noticing your arrival, they all call out your name or their own variations of “director!” in greeting.
You struggle to force another smile for them then sit down in the chair that Sakyo pulls out for you.
Sakyo not-so-subtly levels a glare at the present troupe members, causing them to lean back a bit into their chairs. Still, you say nothing and allow Sakyo to fill your plate with food.
You feel nauseated upon seeing him pile your plate with what you perceive to be too excessive and try to let Sakyo know, “That’s too mu-“ but abruptly cut yourself off when Sakyo shifts his sharp gaze to you.
Like the others, you shrink into yourself at his reprimanding stare.
Sakyo’s gaze softens, and he murmurs a low, “Sorry.” He stops his actions and pays attention to his own plate only after making sure you take a few bites of your food.
Dinner goes on, yet your plate remains generally untouched while the members leave the table one by one. Finally, only you and Sakyo are left at the table.
Sakyo lets out a loud sigh and picks up your plate and his, then silently makes his way back to the kitchen. You stare at his back blankly, devoid of thought, when he suddenly looks back at you with a tender look on his face.
“I’ll clean up,” he says gently, as if afraid he’ll spook you. “You go on ahead back to your room. I’ll be with you in a bit.”
You nod numbly and allow your feet to carry you back to your room and back into bed. True to his word, Sakyo comes in no less than ten minutes later.
Without prompt, he slides into bed with you and draws you in close to his side, cradling your head to his chest.
Enclosed in the warm, familiar, safe environment you finally allow your defenses to break down. Tears start welling up in your eyes and before you know it you’re a sobbing mess, smothering Sakyo’s shirt in ugly tears and snot.
Through it all, he continues to hold you close. He strokes your hair gently, and presses his lips to the crown of your head over and over again.
There are no words.
Still, you fall asleep with a much lighter heart, the burden of the world feeling a bit easier with him by your side.

Wooo long time no A3! post! Saw this in my drafts while listening to a sappy playlist and decided to finish it. Based on the prompt: “I have been in love with you for years.”
This is just tooth rotting fluff and I’m actually super happy with how it came out asdfghjlajalkl I had to take a break while writing bc I could feel myself fangirling.
Anyway, here’s a short Izumi x Sakyo scenario!
- - -
It’s a late night for Izumi and Sakyo as they sit at the dining table, working hard at balancing the logistics of the troupe.
Without warning, Izumi all but flumps her upper body on top of the table.
“Oi!” Sakyo yelps, indignant. “Don’t mess up the files with your nonsense.”
Izumi languidly adjusts her position to shift a deadpan stare at her (business) partner.
“Tired.” she grouses.
Sakyo merely sighs and leaves Izumi to wallow in her own world, resuming his work.
Minutes tick by, and just like clockwork, Izumi’s soft snores start filling in the silence of the night. Simultaneously, Sakyo starts losing his focus, eyes unconsciously drifting over to the object of his affections.
Perhaps its just him being lulled in by the quiet comfort of the early morning hours, but Sakyo feels himself more drawn to his childhood friend than usual, and slowly reaches his hand out to brush Izumi’s hair out of her face.
‘Soft…’ Sakyo’s mind so helpfully supplies him, as he carefully threads his fingers through her brown locks.
As if responding to Sakyo’s gentle actions, Izumi leans further into his touch as well as she can while still fast asleep on the table.
Sakyo suddenly feels his heart seize with a great affection and closes his eyes, taking deep breaths. He inwardly allows himself a moment of weakness - a moment of vulnerability - and lets the warmth spread throughout his body.
He is all too familiar with this feeling - this mind-blowing endearment that takes over him every so often whenever he finds himself a little too introspective.
Sakyo is snapped out of his musings when Izumi suddenly opens her eyes, her gaze fixed on his, still with some traces of sleepiness present but alert nonetheless. Sakyo is helplessly pinned by her gaze as he continues to carefully comb through her hair with his fingers.
A sleepy smile takes over Izumi’s face. “That feels nice.”
Sakyo makes a noncommittal hum in response, but doesn’t stop.
Izumi’s eyes scan his face, and Sakyo can’t find it in himself to look away. They continue like this for awhile in the silence, both of them carried away by the ambience they’ve found themselves in.
“You know, Sakyo,” Izumi elects to break the quiet, using a low voice as if being careful not to scare him off. “Treat a girl like this, and she might start to get the wrong idea.”
Sakyo’s hand stills, but he doesn’t pull away. “…What kinds of ideas?”
Izumi lightly places her hand over his hand that is still entangled in her hair. “Things that aren’t always said out loud, but things you can hear in the silence,” she bites her lip before whispering, “Ideas about… love.”
Sakyo’s heart skips a beat and he feels his face warm, probably mirroring Izumi’s own reddening face. Carefully - almost reverently - he takes her hand and entwines it in his. Sakyo slowly brings Izumi’s hand to his lips, and presses a soft kiss against it.
“And what if I told you,” Sakyo mumbles, his lips still pressed to Izumi’s hand, “That I have been in love with you for years.”
Izumi’s eyes widen, then crinkle as she beams at him, pure unadulterated affection reflected in her eyes that Sakyo has no doubt is reflecting back at her just the same in his.

A3! Characters as random things me, my friends, and my family have said:
Sakuya: *someone suggests meeting up for a friendly lunch date amidst the quarantine* I am willing to risk it all for friendship!!
Masumi: Why must I thirst for the hot mom.
Tsuzuru: If I sleep now, I have like… *checks time* 15 minutes before I have to get ready for my class. There’s some energy drinks and coffee in the fridge so that covers my breakfast, I guess.
Itaru: I’ve given up on life. I’m putting my trust in the gacha gods. GG.
Citron: There was a saleslady trying to help me but I couldn’t remember the word for “panyo” (“handkerchief”). The only thing my mind could come up with was “payong” (“umbrella”), so I kinda just had a staring contest with her for a minute until my dumb semi-bilingual brain finally supplied me with the correct word.
Chikage: *is inconvenienced by someone over a petty thing* Oh my god I’m going to kill you, like, not “haha I’m gonna kill you” kinda vibe, but literally, you are dead to me and I’m going to kill you.
Tenma: Scary movie contest? So whoever screams first pays for pizza, right? Get ready to pay up, losers. *starts screaming less than 5 minutes into the horror movie*
Yuki: Go change clothes. I don’t wanna go out in public with you while you look like that.
Muku: Sorry, I’m a big dumb dumb.
Kazunari: You got this! I’m vibing good vibes so hard for you right now!
Misumi: *every time, after any level of physical activity* PARKOUR!
Kumon: It’s totally normal to tag along with your older sibling whenever they go out though, right? …RIGHT?!
Banri: *while playing a first-person shooter video game* You thought you could get me, huh? Well, you thought wrong! Think harder, b*tch!
Juza: *points to a monster-sized milkshake on a menu that clearly says “for 3-4 people”* Hypothetically, if I ordered this for myself, what would you say?
Omi: One of the best ways to make friends is to offer them food. I know that sounds like a conditional friendship, but hear me out.
Taichi: What if dogs could climb up trees like how cats do?
Sakyo: *writes on a birthday card* Happy Birthday. Pay me back the money you still owe me.
Azami: NO PROPOSALS UNTIL AFTER MARRIAGE!!
Tsumugi: I don’t have any crushes. I am but a simple plant.
Tasuku: *whenever someone offers their help in lifting things or admires his strength* I took a weightlifting class in college for PE, you know.
Homare: I just have all these ideas living in my head and I have to say them out loud, you know? They deserve to be heard.
Hisoka: My record for most consecutive hours of sleep is 20 hours. At one point, I think my roommate may have considered the possibility of me being dead but ultimately just decided to let me be.
Azuma: Usually whenever someone asks me my age, I pull up a blank. How old am I, really? Does age really matter in this situation? And then I start getting really weird and existential. They usually drop the question when I start zoning out.
Guy: *visibly confused* People think mental math is hard?

Number 4 with my man Itaru plz! :)
4. Quietly gives you the things you like to eat from their own plate
Itaru wasn’t too keen on social interaction, especially when it came to his workmates, but he did have to keep up his image. And that’s how you found yourself sitting next to Itaru, opposite his workmates at a company luncheon.
You tried to keep up as best as you could, but you found that their business talk bored you even more than you knew that it truly bored Itaru. Thankfully, the main course is served and you take the opportunity to stuff your face with food as daintily as possible to avoid further conversation.
Itaru, ever the people-pleaser, continued his small talk with his workmates with ease. While he’s distracted, you sneak a peek at his entrée and find yourself fixated on the grilled salmon on his plate. Before you can contemplate the social repercussions of snatching some off of Itaru’s plate, he picks a piece of salmon with his fork and wordlessly plops it on yours. You happily dig in as Itaru continues his conversation, and the cycle goes on with Itaru absentmindedly selecting your favorite foods from his plate and transferring them to yours.
“Aww, how sweet!” one of Itaru’s workmates coos, drawing attention to Itaru’s actions. Itaru’s face changes as if snapped out of a reverie and he masks it back into his princely work persona.
“Sorry, sweetheart, how rude of me. I didn’t even ask you if you wanted my food.” Itaru apologizes, a saccharine smile on his face.
“No worries, darling.” You mimic his tone, lovingly patting his cheek, prompting another chorus of wistful sighs and adoring titters from Itaru’s workmates. On the inside, you’re doing your best not to burst into laughter at your ridiculous display of affection.
The luncheon continues but thankfully you and Itaru are able to slip away early with the excuse of prior engagement…
“Shit. Settsu, the hell are you doing?!” Itaru screams into his headset.
…said “prior engagement” being Itaru’s scheduled co-op match with Banri.
You roll your eyes and turn your attention back to your own game on your phone.
‘Come on…SSR…’ you chant in your head, willing your best boy to come home.
The flashy animation plays and you nearly throw your phone in frustration at the numerous duplicate R and SR cards you pulled. You heave a sigh and reach for the box of delivery pizza laid out in front of your boyfriend. Before you can grab a slice, however, Itaru slaps your hand away and growls out a fierce, “Mine.”, before taking the slice you were reaching for and taking a huge bite out of it.
You raise your eyebrows in disbelief.
“Excuse me?” you intone, not truly incensed but somewhat indignant.
“Get your own.” Itaru simply says, eyes still focused on his PC as his fingers fly across his controller.
“Oh? What happened to sharing your food with your beloved sweetheart?” you tease. “Darling.”
Itaru merely responds with a noncommittal noise and you sigh, knowing that any fruitful conversation with him is a lost cause when he’s in the zone. You decide to let it go and give him a quick peck on the cheek before standing up to get your own food. “Give them hell, Taruchi.”
“Thanks for the boost. I’m dedicating this round to you, best girl.” He says fondly.
As you exit the room, you do so with a spring in your step, knowing that Banri is most likely heckling Itaru for the blatant show of affection.

Mankai Company & Toe Socks
Tumblr media
This is really dumb and cursed but being a part of the Filo discord server really brings out my inner idiot so here, take these stupid headcanons:
Citron just starts wearing toe socks one day. He saw them at a clothing store and was intrigued by their unique design. They quickly become his favorite pair of socks
Sakuya is totally on board with it and Citron gets his roomie matching toe socks as proof of their close bond
The two of them regularly wear them as part of their lounge attire during chilly nights to Tsuzuru’s utter disappointment. Tsuzuru lowkey stresses out because he hates how the toe socks look
Masumi doesn’t really care
…That is until Citron buys the director a pair of toe socks with curry prints on it which prompts Masumi to get a matching pair
Itaru doesn’t care either way so he doesn’t go out of his way to wear them but if someone gives them to him as a gift he’s not opposed to wearing them – they’re just socks, after all. They just have a different design.
Tenma and Yuki both absolutely detest toe socks, declaring them to be “gloves for feet”, that gross Tenma out and horribly clash with Yuki’s fashion sense.
If another member of the company asks Yuki to design toe socks for them, Yuki vehemently refuses and gives a long lecture about why toe socks simply should not exist
Muku absolutely loves toe socks and thinks that they’re cute and comfy. Whenever he sees a particularly cute design he doesn’t hesitate to buy them, building up quite the collection.
It’s because of this that Kazunari gets curious about them since he noticed that his roommate has been hoarding a sock drawer full of them
Kazunari posts a quick poll on Instablam, with a picture of him and Muku both wearing their own pair, the poll asking, “Toe socks: Yay or Nay?”
The results are evenly divided, 50/50, and his poll sparks an online discourse. “Toe socks” starts trending.
Muku gives a pair to Juza and when Juza wore them with his sandals one day, Banri gave him shit for it.
Obviously, the only appropriate response was for Juza to wear them all the time specifically to spite Banri.
However, Juza ends up genuinely liking them, and is often seen around the dorm wearing toe socks with dessert patterns on them, along with his sandals.
Taichi starts wearing toe socks around the same time as Kazunari when they started trending online.
He thinks they’re pretty comfy and even though he usually wears sneakers so you wouldn’t be able to tell if they were toe socks or not, he wears them when he goes outdoors.
Omi doesn’t have a strong opinion on them so if anyone decides to gift them to him, he’ll wear them to show his appreciation for the gift.
Sakyo is the most vocal (besides Yuki) about his distaste for toe socks.
If Sakyo catches you wearing them he is legally allowed to give you shit for it (yes he does make the rules).
He won’t be as extreme as to tell you to change, however. He just wants to let you know you’re making a horrible fashion choice and are bringing shame to the Mankai company’s name for even possessing those horrid socks.
Tsumugi wears toe socks with flower prints on them.
He tried to give Tasuku a pair of toe socks but Tasuku was having none of it and flat out refused to accept them.
So Tsumugi ended up gifting them to Azuma, who was skeptical but pleasantly surprised at how comfortable they were.
Azuma incorporates it into his skincare routine and uses them to moisturize his feet – he applies moisturizing lotion on his feet then wears the toe socks while he sleeps.
This, in turn, piqued Homare’s interest. He was already curious about it when the other members of the company started wearing toe socks around the dorm, but knowing that it had other uses made Homare buy his own pair.
It takes Homare awhile to get used to wearing them – he agrees with Tenma & Yuki about the “gloves for feet” opinion – but one day inspiration strikes while he’s wearing them and the poem he churns out becomes a favorite among his fanbase.
That pair of toe socks officially becomes Homare’s lucky socks.
Hisoka decided to try them out after hearing the “gloves for feet” comment, since it sounded warm and snuggly – optimal for sleeping.
Hisoka always gets quality sleep when he wears toe socks.
That being said, he’s forbidden from wearing them during the daytime because they make him even sleepier than usual.

A3! Characters the First Few Days After Moving In
These headcanons came to mind bc surely you don’t get used to living in a new place that quickly
Spring Troupe
Sakuya
The first time he woke up in the middle of the night when the Spring Troupe was completed, he was startled by Citron’s snores.
It took him a minute to come to his senses, and he started tearing up when he realized he finally had a home full of people who actually wanted him around. People who were there to welcome him home with smiles on their faces.
Actually started crying when he came down for breakfast after sleeping in and the troupe greeted him a good morning and offered him breakfast whilst fussing over him.
Also accidentally left Masumi behind when going to school numerous times since he’s used to heading to school by himself.
Sakuya, halfway to school: Why do I feel like I’m forgetting some— *pauses mid-sentence and starts sprinting back to the dorms* MASUMI!!
Masumi
It took him an embarrassingly long amount of time to get used to sleeping in a loft bed.
Tsuzuru has woken up several times in the morning to Masumi knocking his head hard on the ceiling.
Years later, Masumi still ends up hitting his head on the ceiling when he’s startled awake. Tsuzuru has gotten used to it (and is actually slightly concerned if Masumi has gotten any brain damage from it happening so often)
Tsuzuru
Sort of the same problem as Masumi, but instead of hitting his head on the ceiling, Tsuzuru would be at risk of falling out of bed.
He’s always been a heavy sleeper, and sometimes his body would just move on its own accord during his deep sleep.
Has definitely given several of the troupe members near heart attacks when they see Tsuzuru’s head or limbs lolling off the side of the bed when they go to wake him up.
Eventually came into the habit of placing pillows on his sides as some sort of makeshift barrier to prevent him from falling. Although it doesn’t really help much.
Citron
Was surprised by how lively a living place could be, but totally vibes with it.
During times when the other troupe members weren’t around he’d instinctively call out for Guy if he needed something. (and maybe feel a bit sad remembering that Guy wasn’t there for him anymore)
Absolutely fucked up all the chores that were asked of him. At first the troupe members were super exasperated with him and just banned him from doing chores altogether but Citron was determined to contribute and eventually learned (after many gruelling sessions from Tsuzruru)
Itaru
Was super exhausted from having to keep up his work persona at the dorm as well
Once the troupe figured out his true gamer persona he let loose
Would always complain out loud when they called him for meals and the like during his gaming sessions but deep down felt warm inside and touched by the familial affection that he hadn’t felt in awhile
Chikage
On high alert. All. The. Time.
Had trouble sleeping not only because he wasn’t used to having a roommate but also because he was sleeping under the same roof as a woman (even if she was far away in another room smh)
Begrudgingly had to learn to adjust to the food tastes of the other troupe members. They just don’t understand the amazingness of 🌶 ✨ spice ✨ 🌶
Summer Troupe
Tenma
Vehemently denies it but was initially spooked by all the footsteps of the other troupe members at night since he’s used to an empty house and rooms to himself when he’s filming
Even got lost in the dorms a few times during his first week. It’s not his fault the Mankai dorms are so big!
Had to get used to not having Igawa at his beck and call for whenever he needed a designated driver.
Because of this, during the first few weeks Tenma would get lost a concerning amount of times. He had to work up the courage to ask the troupe members with drivers licenses to drive him around since they were still essentially strangers to him.
During the first few times it was his turn to accompany Izumi on grocery duty, he was completely floored by how cheap everything is. Kid’s a freaking rich child actor with no proper sense of money sksksk
Yuki
Used to throw hissy fits all the time when he first started rooming with Tenma about sharing closet space. With the two of them combined, there was just not enough space for their clothes
Also took a long time getting used to having his nightly routines disturbed what with how many people would need to use the bathroom, plus with Tenma sometimes working ungodly hours for shoots or staying up to memorize lines for multiple roles whilst leaving all the lights on, Tenma claiming he can’t concentrate otherwise
Whenever Yuki had a bad night’s sleep because of this, he would be completely unapproachable the entire morning. God forbid that you were the one to wake him up for school that day.
Muku
Same with Tenma, was initially spooked by all the extra footsteps around the dorms - both at night and during the day.
Used to speedrun his morning bathroom routine in fear of holding up everyone else since there are just so many people in the dorm!!
Kazunari thought that Muku was just generally fast in getting ready in the morning but when Kazu realized what was happening he immediately sat Muku down and had to convince him that no, he was not taking up everyone else’s time
Kazunari
Had to get used to getting people’s permission before taking pictures and videos since everyone at home already accepted his blogger tendencies
It was actually amusing at first to see how everyone - especially Tenma, Itaru, and Citron - would go to lengths to dive out of Kazunari’s filming range.
Izumi had to sit him down along with the other members of the troupe to talk about boundaries. There were no hard feelings between anyone, thankfully.
He’s gotten better about asking permission to take videos/pictures, but Kazu still likes to take candids of the more camera-shy members of the troupe for private consumption of the Mankai dorms only.
Misumi
Much like Citron, was pleasantly surprised by how warm and lively a living space could be
When he made snacks for himself he would forget to make more for the others/forget to ask the others if they wanted some and would apologize profusely whenever he remembered because he’s not used to living with so many other people
He would unwittingly steal other people’s food from the fridge because he assumed that the food in there was in there for everyone. He would always make it up to the member in question, though.
One of the reasons why all food that goes into the fridge has to be labelled, otherwise it’s free game.
Kumon
Was initially super psyched about being dormmates with his cousin plus the other amazing actors in the company. It’d be like a never-ending sleepover! Right?
Wrong. He was constantly on his toes being careful not to give away his illness to anyone.
And even when that issue resolved, he realized that it’s a lot harder than he thought to keep up with how different everyone’s personalities are - not even to mention the age gap between some of them. Generation gap is real.
Autumn Troupe
Banri
Dorming with a bunch of guys was just as chaotic he expected it to be.
The testosterone levels and alpha energy in the dorms are through the roof. and lbr banri contributes to a lot of it
He expected to butt heads with other guys a lot especially Juza but he didn’t really realize how often it would occur and how tiring it would be, both physically and mentally
Juza
Was a bit put-off by how welcoming everyone is
Initially super worried about Kumon and everyone back home
Would get out of bed during odd hours of the night and stay up super late talking to his family
Refused to admit it but was really homesick at first and found comfort in the fact that he at least had Muku around (even if Juza did go out of his way to avoid him at first)
Omi
During the first few times he had cooking duty, Omi severely misjudged serving proportions
With so many active, young men to feed he needed to adjust his ratios when cooking for the whole company
The first time he cooked for the company it was too little and he was super apologetic about it
The next time he cooked though had them eating leftovers for about a week
And when he finally got to a good serving portion to when he cooks?
The new Winter troupe members came and he had to rethink his cooking ratios all over again
Taichi
Constantly worried about his younger siblings
Would constantly space out thinking about the shenanigans his younger siblings would get into when he’s not home
This resulted into random late night calls to his family
Bless Omi for putting up with his roommate’s interruptions to his sleep
Sakyo
At first it wasn’t much of a problem - he treated it like him just sleeping in a new apartment
Until he started overthinking and realized he was was practically cohabiting with his first love Izumi
This caused him to be very stiff and awkward whenever Izumi was in the vicinity
He eventually calmed down after clearing the notions in his head
But it was a painfully awkward first week for everyone when Sakyo first moved into the dorms
Azami
Since he was rooming in with Sakyo, he occasionally had some regressions, reverting back to his more childish mannerisms at times
However, much like Sakyo, did a lot of overthinking about the fact that he was living under the same roof as a female
Was always on high alert when walking around the dorm, especially the bathroom
Not used to seeing people being so openly affectionate to the opposite gender, one could often hear Azami’s lectures/screeches about chastity and propriety whenever members would show physical affection to Izumi
“Stop that lewd handholding right now!!”
Winter Troupe
Tsumugi
Had to adjust his morning routine entirely.
Once things settled down between him and Tasuku, he had to deal with Tasuku berating him for being a lazy couch potato
Tsumugi is definitely not a morning person and is super lethargic in the mornings
Rooming with his super athletic childhood friend forced him to get up way earlier in the morning
During the first few weeks of dorming in Mankai, Tsumugi would often be seen taking naps along with Hisoka
God forbid you encounter a Tsumugi without his morning coffee
Tasuku
Likewise, having to deal with rooming with his childhood friend disrupted his own schedule
Since their childhood, Tasuku has always had this instinct to dote on Tsumugi
Even as adults overcoming an estranged friendship it was pretty hard for him to unlearn the behavior to a reasonable extent
Would have to stop himself from nagging Tsumugi over little things. Yes, they’re childhood friends but they’re also adults - he shouldn’t have to wake up his roommate up all the time nor remind him about small things. Tsumugi should be able to take care of himself.
Homare
Initially had difficulty adjusting to living with the younger generation
God forbid that there are no other adults in the dorms besides Homare
This man has absolutely no idea how to supervise children, but he’s got the spirit.
“Come, Kazunari, let us enjoy the tik of toks!”
Also, he just does not know how to say no.
Lets the kids eat whatever they want. Gummy bears for lunch? Go for it! Wanting to experiment with tiktok recipes? Homare’s not much of a cook himself but let’s give it a go! *not less than 10 minutes later the fire alarm is going off*
Yuki can be seen goading Tenma into dangerous acts. Banri attempts to teach Homare Fortnite dance memes. Taichi skates through the dorm’s corridors. Kazunari vibes with it all and uploads the chaos to his insta.
Hisoka
Not used to having a fixed/regular meal time; with his previous lifestyle, he’d eat whenever he had the chance (which was not very often)
This would often lead to him skipping meals (and subsequently the entire dorm trying to find where Hisoka is sleeping this time)
Likewise, he’s surprised at how integral meal times are part of the dorm’s daily routine.
Before, meal times - if they could even be called that - were just a short, necessary thing for survival. But now?
The warmth he gets from sitting down with everyone, eating together, swapping stories and just basking in each other’s presence is a bit overwhelming at first, but something he comes to look forward to.
Azuma
Since he would often go out during the night, he frequently forgot to tell anyone else of his whereabouts.
Azuma was easily contacted whenever this happened, but it left several of the troupe members exasperated with his behavior
It happened so often, in fact, that the Winter troupe members all took turns in phoning Azuma whenever someone was looking for him.
Guy
After moving in, a habit of Guy’s that was quite hard to break was his need to patrol the vicinity
Would just wake up during odd hours of the night to walk around the whole dorm’s premises
Because of this, he unintentionally gave several of the troupe members jump scares during ungodly hours whenever they got up to go to the bathroom or get a late night snack
Bonus!
Izumi
Was a bit apprehensive at first since she’s the only female living in with all these actors, but because of her responsibilities she quickly got over it
During the first few days however, she was overly conscious about how she conducted herself and her habits so as to not leave a bad impression on her fellow dorm mates.
Super excited with how many mouths there are to feed - all the variations of curry are just waiting for her them to try out!
On quiet nights, even until the present, she finds herself reflecting on how blessed and lucky she is to have a second shot at having a warm, happy, lively home again.
