I had to unfollow so many people for posting both Zionist and antisemitic bs. It's so tough to drop someone you followed for so long even for something like that, it feels.

To preface this: it seems a bit strange to make a long reply about how it affects tumblr when there's so much real life shit happening.... but I will anyway.

There's a really famous tumblr blog which has massive Zionist views to the extent they say that Israel's occupation of the middle east saves the countries from "primitives", and they gotten away with it for years. I hope he's getting his ass obliterated for his stupid views now. I hope people have opened their eyes.

There's another blog I've stopped following because their stuff has gone from anti-zionist - which, you know, i am one thousand percent anti zionist - to saying that the persecution of jewish people is a thing of the past, which... uhh.... no? Basically their stuff has gotten more and more extreme to a point which is beyond reason. They don't have any personal connection to events as far as i know.

The reason such a thing has happened is because of a lot of historical events that have happened in the middle east, and also because of the complete wishy washy bullshit way media has been dealing with Palestine. One thing is made perfectly clear - Palestinian lives are not seen as human lives. They are portrayed as "terrorist lives". Meanwhile unilateral support has been provided to Israel's wholly unproportionate, opportunist attempts to dominate Palestine.

There are a whole slew of political issues outside of Israel and Palestine's relationship which have caused this, such as Israel constantly being under threat by Egypt and its other enemies, but that doesn't take away from the sheer unhumanity that seems to be supported by our government and news sources that we were suppposed to trust. And if there are "special reasons" for it, like my dad purports, I'm not hearing them. It is completely unhinged.

This is why posters like the one I've mentioned have become more extreme. In the end their posts don't matter compared to the lives lost, and they want to do something, anything about it. So that anger gets directed at.... the completely wrong people. There are also, of course, a million anti semetic opportunist douchebags and militants who are jumping at the gun to give everyone reasons to beat up and lock up jewish people. And that's not going to end any time soon. It's a real threat. So the risk here is that we let Israel destroy Palestine, AND we let society beat the shit out of a bunch of innocent jewish people because of it.

She does not support the genocide in any way, and she is a very kind and empathetic person. Stop spreading shit about people you know nothing about simply because they have talked to someone else.

Also? A huge portion of the fandom has talked to matan4il and reblogged her metas. She used to do them every week. She has been in the 911 fandom since the beginning. Just because it came out now that she is in support of Israel doesn’t mean that ever having talked to her is a terrible thing. A lot of people used to. Doesn’t mean they still are.

I just wanted to let you know that BDS is actually antisemitic, it’s in their mission statement to wipe out Judaism and Israel altogether. there’s lots of reform jews out there such as myself who are opposed to Netanyahus awful policies, and lots of different ways to show support for people who are being victimized, but BDS is not a good one of them. this isn’t on anon bc I stand by what I say and I’m open to conversation about this!

Hi so I’m just going to answer this quickly because I honestly don’t want to answer any more asks like this or for things I’ve already discussed on my account but you are misinformed, like, very misinformed, and I want to be clear to you I am speaking to you as a Palestinian and I know what I am talking about. I am assuming this ask is in good faith and you might be open to conversation or debate about this but I am not. I do not debate about Israel or Zionism and if you think that’s area for debate or conversation I’d advise you save time and block me.

You are talking about two different things. BDS is strongly opposed to Zionism and is very open about this - which is not Judaism. And many pro-Israel organizations that hate BDS have taken this to mean antisemitism, anti Zionism is not antisemitism. The conflation between anti Zionism and antisemitism hurts Palestinians the most and only seeks to silence Palestinian calls for justice, it polices the way we talk about our own experiences and history with Zionism (which has always been violent). The ADL is the second link you will find if you search more for BDS or what BDS calls for, and if you don’t already know, the ADL is one of the largest and loudest proponents of anti-Palestine rhetoric and general hatred towards Palestinians and Palestinian liberation. They also participate in genocide denial. A lot of misinformation has been spread about BDS from pro-Israel orgs (because they’re afraid of BDS actual impact) and i’ve read the entire BDS website and participated in actual events where they were present. Often times they work right beside Jewish Voice for Peace. So no, that’s complete misinformation.

I don’t understand what you mean by Netanyahu’s awful policies as if the issue is Netanyahu and just became an issue when he came to power, the State of Israel has always been violent towards Palestinians - Palestinians didn’t just start being loud about it when he got elected. My family was forcibly displaced in 1948 during the Nakba, Netanyahu was born a year later.

If BDS is calling for the dismantlement of the state of Israel, that’s actually fine by me. The state of Israel can only exist through the oppression, displacement, and mass murder of the Indigenous Palestinian population - if a state can only survive through the subjugation and murder of Indigenous people, the state has no right to exist (this also applies to the USA & Canada etc but settler states in general should all be abolished). The founders of the state of Israel made it very clear of their desire to remove every Palestinian to secure a Jewish ethnostate, that the expulsion and murder of Palestinians was an existential necessity. If you want me to say it aloud in case if wasn’t clear by my blog, I support a democratic non-sectarian Palestine ie a Palestinian state with rights for Muslims, Christians, Jews, and all other religious or ethnic minorities.

Also, please just say Palestinians. You didn’t say Palestinians once in your ask and I’m really tired of people avoiding saying Palestinian. We are not ‘people who are being victimized’ - We are Palestinians and we are Indigenous to the land of Palestine.

Haven't fronted in... a while. But that new Sonic movie about Shadow is coming up sometime, isn't it? That's... kind of cool. Made infinitely (ha) less cool by Paramount being a zionist company, but that's what totally legal websites are for. It'll be neat to see more of Shadow's story outside of what I knew about him, since I never had any consoles that could run Shadow the Hedgehog or Sonic Adventure 2. And the closest I've gotten to watching playthroughs of them is the Snapcube Fandub of ShTH since I don't trust anyone to be normal about Sonic. Hm. I'm rambling. Then again, this is just me spouting thoughts out after not fronting in... however long it's been. Figured I'd send something in. -Infinite the Jackal, Sonic Forces (yeah I semi-recently found out that I'm a fictive in a subsystem instead of a kin like all my old asks say. Which, cool.
