7 Sidemen and a Baby.

Summary: You and your boyfriend had just had a baby. You are surprised when his best friends/brothers show up to meet the new addition

You had been in hospital for the last 24 hours and couldn’t believe the sight of your baby girl in front of you. She was the most beautiful thing you had ever laid eyes on and you just couldn’t believe that you and your boyfriend had made such an adorable human being.

Speaking of your boyfriend, you were beginning to wonder where he was. Earlier he had gotten multiple notifications on his phone before it started ringing persistently. Josh told you that he needed to answer the last call as it was an urgent matter. He stepped out the room to answer it but not before kissing you and your baby girl on your foreheads. What was worrying you was that this was over an hour ago now.

You were beginning to miss him but before you can get too caught up with those thoughts your baby girl starts fussing which, sooner than you expected, turned into full on upset. You got up quickly and walked over to pick her up.

You cradle her in your arms as you look out of your hospital window and watch the hustle and bustle of the city below you. You hum and bounce in the hopes to clam the little baby girl in your arms and, to your surprise, it works like a treat.

Once she’s calmed down, you once again stare out of the window hoping to feel a lot calmer yourself as you’ve had a hectic day, what with giving birth and all. You’re so caught up in feeling relaxed, that you don’t even hear the door to your hospital room open behind you.

“Hey Babe” You hear your boyfriend whisper causing you to turn around and smile. He smiles back at the sight of you holding your sleeping little girl in your arms.

He breaks the look to say something. “I have a surprise for you.” As he says this you raise an eyebrow and he opens the door wider to let in 6 other people. The people you and Josh consider brothers more than anything else.

“Hey Guys! What are you all doing here?” You question with a big grin on your face.

“Well we all really wanted to come meet the little one and Jide couldn’t wait to deliver the presents that we all got for you and the baby.” Simon explained as his eyes land on the little baby snuggled up in your arms.

You look around and notice all of them staring at your baby with some love and affection. You walk over and hand your little girl to her father before you whisper in his ear and he nods.

You head over and sit on your hospital bed, still in a bit of pain from the birth, and you notice all the lads sitting on chairs and the one sofa in the room.

Josh then turns to them and asks, “Do you boys want to hold her?” They all look nervous, clearly not used to such a small being, but Tobi looked calm and replies, “If you guys don’t mind, I’d love to hold her”.

You both nod in approval of him holding your daughter as Josh walks over and places her in Tobi’s arms. Josh makes his way back over to you and places himself beside you in the bed. As you cuddle up to him, you give him the sign and motion with your eyebrows to the lads, telling him to ask the question.

“ummmmm...Tobi...ummm”. He gets nervous and hesitates so you help him out and finishes off what he was going to ask. “Tobi. You’re both mine and Josh’s oldest friend, and to Josh a brother which for 11 years has stuck by him. Would you please be our daughter’s godfather?”

Being the only strongly religious one of the group, you knew it meant a lot to both him and you. He got teary-eyed and nodded before looking down at the child in his arms and beaming at her.

“If Tobi gets to be godfather, I call being favourite uncle!” JJ Says quickly. This stirs arguments between all the lads, except for Tobi who is mesmerised by the little girl in his arms. Watching it all unfold in front of you makes you laugh but you are stopped when you feel the heat from your boyfriend’s breath on your ear.

“You know you are laughing now but this is our family and I’m sure we’re stuck with them now and can’t get rid of them”, he says smiling at you before he pulls you into a kiss.

Your kiss stops all the arguments in the room and all of the guys have shocked looks on their faces but this confuses you. Why are they shocked that I’m kissing my boyfriend.

“Did you just do it Josh?” Harry asks, which furthers your confusion.

You sit up in the bed and turn to your boyfriend. “Do what?” There was complete silence. “Josh?” You say a little more sternly, wanting an answer.

He sighs in frustration whilst rubbing his forehead trying to think of what to say.

“Harry I think you may have just ruined it”. Ethan says quietly to Harry, hoping to not let you hear what he’s saying but you just manage to make out the words.

“Ruin what?” The room goes silent and becomes tense. “Please, someone tell me what is going on. I’m starting to worry”.

Josh hops off the bed and starts talking. “This was not the way I pictured this happening but you know what it may be better to do with our friends, no, family present. Y/N I love you and the reason I took so long was because we were waiting on Vik who had to pick this up for me”.

Before you could ask what it was, Josh had gotten down onto one knee and pulled out a ring box with a stunning engagement ring placed carefully inside. You couldn’t help but get slightly emotional.

“Y/N you are the most beautiful, smart, amazing woman and you’ve given me a family. So, would you please, do me the honour of becoming my wife and marry me?” He asks whilst looking really nervous at your answer.

The room goes silent in anticipation of your response but it didn’t last long before you looked straight into Josh’s eyes and nod. At your reply Josh smiles and takes the ring placing it onto your finger and kisses you with so much love and care.

However, you don’t miss the commotion of celebration behind you as you embrace your, now, fiancé. You can’t quite believe how the last 24 hours have gone but you wouldn’t change a thing as you are happier than you’ve ever been.
