Ultraman Crossover

So the recent Ultraman Trigger episode was awesome, seeing a crossover with Ultraman Z and watching Haruki Natsukawa (Kohshu Hirano) interacting with Kengo Manaka (Raiga Terasaka) and Akito Hijiri (Shunya Kaneko).

While I was excited seeing the three meet, I think it would be equally entertaining to see the female characters meet each other as well. The guys were already chaotic together, I can’t imagine what a riot the ladies would be.

I imagine Yuka and Yuna get along fine until Yuka freaks her out with her alien specimens collection samples or something while Yoko and Himari will probably get all competitive try to beat each other’s record of being the best pilot. 😂

And let’s not forget the “villains”!

Summer Ghost, online un nuovo trailer del cortometraggio animato di loundraw

L’anime verrà proiettato in Giappone dal 12 novembre.

Diffuso un nuovo trailer di “Summer Ghost”, l’originale cortometraggio realizzato da FLAT STUDIO, lo studio di animazione fondato dal celebre illustratore e animatore conosciuto come loundraw, che sbarcherà nei cinema giapponesi dal 12 novembre.

I protagonisti della storia sono:

Tomoya Sugisaki: Chiaki Kobayashi (Langa Hasegawa in SK8 the Infinity)

Aoi Harukawa: Miyuri Shimabukuro (Carole in Carole & Tuesday)

Ryo Kobayashi: Nobunaga Shimazaki (Haruka Nanase in Free!)

Ayane Sato: Rina Kawaei (Hinako Mukaimizu in Ride Your Wave)

Il 19 novembre verrà pubblicata in Giappone una versione manga della storia, illustrata da Yoshi Inomi, raccolta in un volume unico. Il 29 ottobre, invece, uscirà il romanzo firmato dallo sceneggiatore del corto Hirotaka Adachi, scrittore meglio conosciuto con il nome di Otsuichi (Holiday - La sparizione, My Capricorn Friend, Goth). 

In aggiunta, il 26 novembre arriverà anche la novel spinoff dal titolo “Ichinose Yuna ga Uiteiru”.

Tomoya, Aoi e Ryou sono studenti delle superiori che si sono conosciuti online, mentre si informavano sulla leggenda metropolitana del “fantasma estivo”, uno spirito di una ragazza che, a quanto si dice, appare quando si accendono i fuochi d'artificio.

Tomoya non riesce a vivere la vita che aveva immaginato per sé stesso. Aoi non riesce a trovare il suo posto nel mondo. Ryou vede, improvvisamente, allontanarsi il suo futuro una volta splendente. Ognuno di loro ha le proprie ragioni per voler incontrare il fantasma. In una notte d'estate, in cui la vita e la morte si incrociano, dove li porteranno le loro emozioni?

Nato da un’idea originale di loundraw, che sta dirigendo il progetto, oltre ad occuparsi del character design, l’anime conta su una colonna sonora composta dal pianista di fama internazionale Akira Kosemura, assieme a Itoko Toma, Guiano e Hideya Kojima.

Oltre ad aver lavorato a diversi trailer e videoclip musicali, il giovane artista ha disegnato personaggi e copertina di “Voglio mangiare il tuo pancreas”, il romanzo di Yoru Sumino, dal quale è stato poi tratto un film d’animazione, portato anch’esso in Italia da Dynit.

Si è anche occupato del character design dell’originale serie animata dal titolo “Tsuki ga kirei”, che trovate in streaming su Crunchyroll, oltre che dello spot realizzato nel 2017 per promuovere il romanzo “Boku wa Robot Goshi no Kimi ni Koi wo Suru” di Yuusuke Yamada; l’opera ispirerà prossimamente un film, ma al momento non si sa se loundraw parteciperà al progetto (n.d.r. anzi, non si sa più nulla del progetto da ben tre anni…). Di recente ha lavorato alla serie animata “Vivy: Fluorite Eye’s Song”, per la quale ha concepito il design dei personaggi.
