game review 3: you will (not) remain

you will (not) remain is a post-apocalyptic horror story game, personal horror rating 2/5, portraying a mental health struggle. this game is really well-made, and portrays depression very well.

review:

story: 4/5, though it is a great dipiction of mental health, there’s not much classic story going on. the scene is very well set, but it doesn’t follow through with the past, or present context. the story focuses on very minor parts of the game, which could have a special meaning, but i would like it better if it had more context.

visuals: 4/5, great, fitting, could’ve done better. don’t play this in a room with windows. not much more than that.

characters: 5/5, great, good development, good emotions. it felt like i was really communicating with the other characters in the game, and i really felt like i was in the characters situation, which isnt very common with games. i could talk for hours about the game experience, it really gave me tingles.

gameplay: 5/5, i mean yeah. arrow keys. not really much else. easy, simple one would say, not too much to say here.

overall: 18/20, 90%; its honestly a great game, but its a one time thing. if youre bored, its late, and you have like an hour to take 30 minutes to play this game, then 30 minutes to contemplate your mental state, then you’re set! would i recommend? yes.

Today’s new card is a Continuous Spell for Icejades. And Cosmocroix is finally dead, leaving Agel as her successor.

RIP giant ice lady, we hardly knew you.

(For those who don’t know, according to official reference artwork, Icejades must return to the center to remove their corruption, ie. the black water you see on Icejades. Cosmocroix has became too corrupt, so she died.)
