Robin chose Steve. Robin made the conscious and deliberate decision that she could and would trust Steve. She already liked him! She had fun working and bantering with him! They were already on their way to being weird little bffs and the torture just expedited the process. Steve chose Robin just the same! He thinks she's fun and cool and likes her so much! He chose to be honest and open with her too, putting himself out there.

Even though their interests on the surface level don't match why wouldn't they share them? Steve clearly caves when Robin wants to watch a movie he doesn't think he'll like, Robin can watch a March madness game or five.

Stop trying to take away their bond oh my god people can be close to more than one person!!! Their best friend doesn't have to be dismissive or mean or whatever in order for a romance to be special to them!

#mine #origami #jellyfish #that was what the hexagons were for did you guess ? :) #original model is by Beth Johnson and only the bell/umbrella is in one single sheet (hexagonal) #the tentacles are all added separately #I wanted to see if I could do it all with one sheet of paper so I used the exact same hexagon CP for the bell and simply placed it #at the center of a bigger square of paper #pretty glad of how it came out #tentacles would need some cleanup if I ever fold this again and I could workshop a frillier edge for the bell as well #still really nice this is the most elaborate modification of an existing model I've made #if you want to see the original model it's in origami aquarium by Makoto Yamaguchi p.200 #it looks so cute... teensy jelly #I used elephant hide paper (my enemy) to use up this roll i've had #i thought it'd at least be nice to collapse the hexagon tessellation which it was but that's really the only nice part asdfgh #if I fold this again I'll use smth thinner so the tentacles aren't as bulky #and to hell with the cleanliness of the hexagons #honestly the paper tension works in your favor for thoses #they get tightened when you round out the umbrella instead of flattened out as I feared #so the elephant hide really isn't needed... as usual! #anyway enjoy :3

I matched The Star with Ruth based mostly on visuals and the reverse meaning (which among other things mentions feeling like everything is against you, which I thought fit her well).

Elements that represent hope, opportunities and shining bright from the original card are turned into foreshadowing of her death here.

Light - Her Moment, chance, ambitions and wants. The second she enters it, she's dead.

Background - theater seats, empty.

the little scene we got of team rwby talking about ruby's outburst was very telling with everyone's reaction.

blake didn't say much but she was sympathetic, and it makes sense - she's no stranger to depression or to lashing out and running from the people you care about. and she was still playing the leadership role in ruby's absence, mediating yang's frustration and keeping everyone together.

i think it's fascinating that yang was the angriest over it. yang loves ruby more than anything, but i think there is truth to the idea that the nature of her relationship with ruby as her big sister and protector made it harder for her to understand this side of ruby, because to yang ruby has always been her happy, brave little sister who she protected from the horrors of the world. and now she must be hating herself for that blindness (though of course it's not her fault).

and weiss seemed to understand ruby best. she got that ruby felt isolated, and put on a pedestal, and that she didn't think she could talk to them. and i think she gets it because as ruby's partner she feels responsibility over it. since volume 1, weiss has only ever wanted to be a good teammate and a good partner to ruby, and now she must feel like she failed.

Ohhh cabin!König is just this broody nasty man who has hauled you to the Alps for breeding. He comes close to off the grid!König who's a much more benevolent fellow, whereas cabin König is driven by a single purpose and that purpose is to coax you inside this cute little mountain cabin and get you pregnant :/

He's very territorial and doesn't want anyone to disturb his mating season (which lasts approx. 4-6 months) so while you spend your days trying to choose whether to bake him Apfelstrudel or cinnamon buns, König is walking around the cabin's perimeter with a hunting rifle in his hands, checking "animal traps"/de facto killing any poor travellers who had the odd chance of wandering too deep into the wilderness...

Basically just a guy who decided that you're the perfect mother for his kids! You met him on some dating app and things got pretty serious pretty fast, König made his intentions clear right away... So now you're spending a romantic holiday up in the mountains because he said it's a stress-free environment. He also makes sure you stay nice and cozy and warm, eat properly and of course take his seed, every day just in case <3

I really want him to have a little ponytail #I think he deserves a little ponytail #so i kept the ponytail #i was originally going to draw him with his silly little coat and add a heck ton of details #but the pose didn’t work out #There’s always next time! #with his current clothes his sash i guess is the most important part? #in the first chapter it talks about Aaron’s knife had been clad in black&gold previously #I assume in reference to the Man #Though I might be wrong #i binge-read the book in like three days #the details have escaped me #but yeah I did the sash with those colors because I thought it’d be cool #anyways i believe that’s most of it #i also have a bunch of doodles i made for warmup before this #that i’m also going to share at some point #i hope you like it!
