(This is a small project I have where I come up with animals that could represent the cast in a furry universe. They lean more heavily in the direction of redwall-esque. They stand and move more like humans, but their anatomy is a bit more animalistic. They also wear clothes. I'm pretty sure. I just don't draw that atm bc I suck at it lol I also try very hard to limit the animals to ones found on the continent their races "come from." It's a weird rule I impose. And, if you're curious, a child could come from a breeding pair that is a completely different species. It's more of an "energy"/features thing.)

Even though I try to stick to Japanese dogs for the yakuza themselves, I really liked either/both of these options because of how bulky they are. The wrinkly face can also sometimes look pretty mean - but, by the same measure, they can look like teddy bears. Not to mention; Chow Chows were bred for, among other reasons, guarding. Shar Pei are fighting dogs.

The breed is said to be eager to please. Not to mention, loyal! They're also regarded as a companion breed that can serve as a watch dog. Also, so, so beautiful.

Both these breeds are considered old and rumored to have wolf blood. (Wolves in Japan are extinct, so this is the closest we'll get to them, if that's the case.) They're also both hunting dogs. And we all know both of these men did a fair bit of hunting in their day.

Striped Hyena

Any particular notes or reasons?

"Hyena" is just perfect for Majima. Keeping that in mind, he didn't start off "clownish" as a yakuza; quite the opposite. This particular type of hyena isn't famed for cackling; that's spotted hyenas. (Though, I did hear that they can laugh from some rando on the internet who claimed to live in a region that had striped yeen territory.) They're nocturnal, perfect for "The Lord of The Night." I also think them being skinny, top-heavy alternatives to spotted hyenas is more reminiscent of Majima's body type. Striped hyenas are also canine-enough for me to pass them on as appropriate for yakuza work. (I tend to make the yakuza dogs, but I decided that dog-like "counts" because of Maji, tbh.) There's a lot of interesting symbolism and lore in mythology concerning striped hyenas. Their history is also interesting. I could pull out some things I learned, but, honestly, I worked backwards from hyena to get this guy to fit. I'm sorry to have threatened the integrity of this project.

Any particular notes or reasons?

Tosa Inu are courageous watchdogs initially bred for fighting. They're also lovey to their "people" that they've bonded to (described as "quietly affectionate.") Because of which, they can be somewhat aggressive to other dogs that are "outsiders." And, honestly? I've never seen Kaito even try to play nice with other Yakuza (mostly outside the family, but "mostly" is a key word here), even if they aren't having an outright war. I also know that bully, jowly dogs are considered "ugly" to some people. People in the canon have called Kaito ugly. I believe, however, those real and fake people are full of it.

"Whet??" you say? Well, for starters, Tak isn't yakuza. So, not a dog. Besides, playing/watching a playthrough of Judgement for like an hour will make you see: Tak has MASSIVE cat energy. He's snarky and sarcastic, cool/level-headed, (somewhat?) dignified, curious as all hell (and aggravating when he wants something, particularly answers). Plus, idk, imagine a cat staring at you, judgementally. Perfectly natural, right? I feel like Yagami's eyes make you tell the truth, or at least makes you squirm.

Howdy, welcome to my blog!

My main is @yeenbeanz, this blog will be focused on Spiderverse stuff! I have created a Spiderverse AU version of my sona, Remi, as well with some twists :)

He/They, Non-binary, transmasc

Aliases consist of Spider-Yeen, Spider-Man, Spider-Remi, and Remi. They come from a more fantasy-esque universe, and can shapeshift between their normal form and false form when they want (mostly.) He belongs to Earth-051.

Abilities

Spider Physiology: enhanced strength, durability, speed, agility, healing, wall crawling, and night vision

Spider Sense: gives him a near complete awareness of his surroundings, works slightly different than other Spider People. Along with the default ability to instinctively dodge or counter attacks, it works with Remi's naturally-occuring electromagnetic field to detect other sources of electricity (organic or not), therefore giving him more awareness of other presences or threats that may otherwise be cloaked or hidden.

Bio-electrokinesis: This capability was not available to them until a few years after the spider bite, as it was already genetic, but once it developed, it quickly became their foundation of fighting. He has the ability to create, store, absorb, and manipulate his own electricity as well as other sources of electricity to incapacitate and attack enemies. He can utilize his bioelectricity in both close-quarters and long-range combat.

Shapeshifting: They possess the capability to shapeshift between their default anthropomorphic self, and a more humanoid version. He prefers his normal form, but doesn't mind changing to humanoid, which appears human-passing if you don't mind the horns, spikes, ears, and fangs. He is a bit weaker in his False form, but only barely. He cannot shift into this form willingly if he is in flight-or-fight response or actively distressed/on edge. They may get stuck in either form, or shift to the other involuntarily if under stress.

Methods of Fighting and Getting Around

Remi's overall style of moving and fighting would be a mix of movements involved in folklorico, Mexican boxing, and lucha libre, making them very light and fluid in their movements, especially when swinging, making it look like he is dancing in a way. But he can also pack a punch when fighting, being able to excel in close-quarters combat along with acting like a grappler and throwing their opponents/enemies around with ease to subdue them. Combine this with their bioelectricity, and they're a force to be reckoned with in a fight.

Fighting Style and Manuveurs: He tends to use his speed and power moves to overpower enemies, to compensate for his size. His agility aids him greatly in evading attacks and getting in hits, to include using an enemy's momentum against themselves, or Remi using their own momentum (ex. laying out a web to catapult off of into someone, like a ring rope) to bring an enemy to the ground. He is a very physical fighter, to include punches, claw swipes, and kicks; combining this with use of his webs for support/momentum, and manuveurs like leg locks, drop kicks, chokeslams, and the like, he is powerful as long as he can stay quicker than his opponent. He doesn't usually take to his bioelectricity right away, but if he is in a pinch or is starting to get overwhelmed, he will then utilize that power. He tends to save this for more the more powerful enemies, large groups of enemies, or long-range attacks when needed.

Weaknesses: Although he is smaller, agile, and can hit hard, he can be worn down over time if met with someone who can take his hits or not be subdued as easily from his grapples or bioelectricity. He can also be overpowered by those that are bigger and stronger than him, or can trap him in a hold where he cannot use his arms or legs. He also does not do well in the cold, as that affects his ability to utilize his bioelectricity.

Equipment / Gadgets

Spider Suit: A special suit used by Remi to protect their identity as Spider-Yeen.

Web Shooters: Remi is equipped with wrist-mounted web shooters that they made themselves. They were originally for use of synthetic webs, but after he gained his electrokinesis powers, he had to rework them to be able to handle his electrical charges. He can now utilize the shooters and webs themselves to channel his electricity through them! Resulting in electrically charged webs.

Spider-Bot: A little robot spider used to aid Remi in getting to smaller, tight places otherwise unable to be reached by them, or places too dangerous for them to go in safely. Spider-Bot has it's own set of capabilities, such as a mini web-shooter, electrical pulse shooter, and wall crawling.

Dimensional Travel Watch: A watch developed to make it capable for the user to travel to alternate dimensions at will without the danger of suffering a glitch effect. It gives the user's cells the ability to adapt to a different environment/universe. It also allows for inter-dimensional communication, between any user regardless of distance. This watch is capable of materializing and dematerializing at will, making it very practical for when it is not in use.

Gnoll Lord Yeenoghu

So you ever look at a character from a specific franchise and you feel a bit bummed out with the wasted potential they have?

Yeahhhh, this happened to me once I learned about Yeenoghu.

Now make no mistake, I can appreciate a bad guy if it is done right, but since it felt so plain for me, I decided to pick Yeen up and make him my own skrungly in my own Devilman AU.

Basically, this is my take on him and a few changes in his backstory.

Hope I ain’t doing a crime here .w.

Backstory:

Personality wise, Yeenoghu is still what you would expect from being the oh so called “lord of the gnolls”. He’s brutal, rude, gross, gluttonous and loves a good fight; but oddly enough, underneath his chaotic nature, he’s actually a bit of a lone warrior. It’s pretty rare to see him with company of somebody else, and his apparitions across the demon world are so rare, some believe he might be just a legend to scare off others or a ghost from the past.

But no, Yeenoghu is still alive and kicking. He’s just very good at hiding.

Despite being almost non-existent, however, the lord of the gnolls (or, the god of stench, as he sometimes goes by) has a terrifying ability in him. It is called Fang Of Yeenoghu. It basically involves injecting someone with the venom that radiates from his boar fangs, and whoever gets bitten suddenly goes into a blood-fueled frenzy, acting like a rabid beast until finally dying; either out of recklessness or exhaustion. Although, rest assured. It's pretty rare for him to use it considering he tends to devour his prey as soon as he lays his teeth upon them.

However, Yeenoghu one day ended up losing this ability as he bit into a piece of heavenly metal coming from the weapon of an angel. The scrap stabbed one of his teeth, fully breaking it, and slowly starting to destroy his fangs. If it was kept stuck in there, his whole maw could be vaporized and even end his life.

Fortunately, the angel of death, Azrael, one day found him after some investigation regarding the mythical gnoll, and in an unexpected act of kindness, he removed the broken tooth out of his mouth; thus saving him.

Despite the loss of his dreadful venom and the slight sensation of shame it brings him, Yeenoghu and Azrael remain on friendly terms, despite how much he likes to bully the angel regarding his goofy yet innocent nature.

Random facts:

-Yeenoghu is around 14 ft tall.

-Despite how bad he smells, Yeenoghu actually likes to bathe in rivers, lakes or any small formations of water.

-He has spiked tails. Three of them in total.

-He can literally eat a whole Apatosaurus worth of meat.

-He has a human form, and it is quite attractive to the normal eye. Even seductive.

-He has goat legs, a boar nose as a snout with two tusks, and vulture wings.
