#yanqing shows off how much he’s improved
i struggle to find the words to describe how much jingliu and yanqing’s odd little friendship means to me. they make me so happy.
i want their bond to persist and grow. i want yanqing to be the light of jingliu’s painful existence. i want their experience together to remind her that bonds were never shackles to the sword, but an integral part of it. i want her to rediscover that through training him. i want her to be reminded of her time teaching jing yuan, and how much pride and joy it gave her to watch him grow.
and i want the little things. i want to see jingliu’s playful side more. i want to see them banter. i want to see jingliu smile and laugh as she teases her grandson- i mean temporary student. i just want good things for them ssob

Hello my stupid brain rot about yanquing twin sibling reader and about thier encounter with jing liu and how reader and yanquing remindes her of for explain jing Yuan and blade and I don't know why but post lofu I can see jing liu telling the general that she will take the reader as her new student but reader is like NO! I will not leave my bro alone and says how yanquing can't be left alone becose well after how yanquing left the reader to be beaten up by blade amd Dan henga they will never leave thier bro alone....NEVER!
I think I get what you're request, @zardas75 ! I'll try my best for this request :)
Ohohoho...It's Aboutta Go Down.
(Warning: Might be OOC! All Relationships are STRICTLY Platonic!)
The moment you and Yanqing saw Jingliu just stroll on in so chillaxed, you both brought out your swords and nearly launched.
Had it not been for Jing Yuan being present, and giving you the look that says "Not now," you both would've probably gotten straight into battle.
And the moment Jingliu opens her mouth and say she wants to take you for a disciple, you were two milliseconds away from sending out an entire paragraph filled with the verbal middle finger—which was very unprofessional, but hey, does it look like you care? Absolutely not!
Jing Yuan is glaring down at his former master and Yanqing is fuming. And honestly, you don't blame either of them. You and Yanqing had to constantly hold each other back by the absolute nonsense Jingliu was spewing out her throat.
"You are not taking one of my disciples...Master." Jing Yuan glares down at the former Sword Champion. "You are not taking them, regardless of their status as my retainer. I refuse to have my retainers separated."
He knew darn well the mayhem and bloodshed you both can cause if he agrees with this. And even looking over that part, he would never give you over to Jingliu. She was dangerous. She was mara-strucked and harsh. He would know—he's seen it all in his long life.
Yanqing is over and beyond furious that this woman is trying to take you—his twin sibling—away from him—your twin brother. And you share the same emotions so, what the hell, Jingliu!
"I'M NOT GOING WITH HER." You declare, seething and not afraid to show your hatred. "Why should I go with her anyway?! What's wrong with how I do things now, huh?"
"You have potential. Even more so than your fellow disciple." "Says who, you? Why should I listen?" "I can help you hone your skills. You can be the next greatest sword wielder of the Xianzhou Luofu." "I'll start listening to you when I start seeing rocks grow wings and fly, or mechanical cranes start laying eggs out of their non-existent a—" Yanqing covers your mouth.
Jingliu tilts her head. "Why are you so persistent in staying with them? Your fellow friend here has proved to need much improvement—" You both narrow your eyes at that comment. "—while it's clear that you have the means to go further than the level he is playing at. Do you truly not wish to exceed your swordsmanship further?"
Just as Jing Yuan was about to talk in his ever serious general voice, you pried off Yanqing's hand and say. "Why should I work with someone who likes to beat up my twin? Are you stupid?! At least have the manners to be apologetic about it, like that Dan Heng guy! You're just as bad as Blade at this point—"
Yanqing quickly covers your mouth again. You two made eye contact, remembering what you two swore not to speak of when in front of Jing Yuan—Don't talk about Dan Heng or Blade in front of the General. Looks like you got too caught up in your emotions, but you were still standing strong in your statement.
Jing Yuan sighs. He was aware of the entire situation, but he hadn't really expected for you to still hold a grudge for that Yanqing got beat by his old friends. Nevertheless, he looks over at Jingliu. "As you can see, Master, they are showing great reluctance to participate to train with you. I advise you leave, or we will have to...contain you, so to speak." You and Yanqing raise your swords, ready for the fight and the chase.
Yes, Jingliu escaped in the end. Girlie is fast fr.

Imagine if, to try and calm Yanqing’s “leap before you look” phase, Jing Yuan assigns a strategist for him. The strategist is more timid and anxious, so they don’t get into fights as much as him.
It’s the perfect exchange, in a way. The strategist is encouraged by Yanqing and Yanqing learns to slow down and use a different angle when necessary.

A/N: Hello there anon! I'm sorry that I've just found the motivation for your request, but between being sick and busy, I unfortunately had no time either. However, since I'm in a bit of a good mood for once, I've decided to finally finish a request thats been in my drafts for a while now. I hope you'll enjoy and thank you for the cute idea!<33 Content: Slightly mean Yanqing being a reckless brat and the poor reader having anixiety attacks because of him, mentions of battles, fluff, sfw Reader has no set pronouns! Just slow down. (Yanqing x Gn!Reader)
-----
Tumblr media
Yanqing didn't like you at first. And he made it clear with the way he avoided you like the plague and attempted to get out of having to spend the whole day with you. This was harder than he liked it to be however, as Jing Yuan didn't take his distaste lightly and eventually forced him to make a clear decisions.
Either he accepted that you were assigned to him... or he simply just never saw the outside world again, unless it's work related. And how else was Yanqing supposed to react, other than just agreeing to the older mans terms. He whined and argued back, tried reasoning why he didn't need a strategist to keep track of him, how it would just slow him down. But all complaints fell on deaf ears... which lead him to now, where he stubbornly stood before your timid form, with narrowed eyes and a frown.
"Just to be clear, I'm not happy with any of this." He had said on your first meeting and yet all you did was give him a nervous and sheepish smile in return, as though you didn't catch the annoyed tone in his voice. "It's okay... but I hope we can at least get along anyways." You muttered back, before clutching your files closer to your chest and awkwardly shuffling past him towards the training grounds to observe his daily routine closely. Yanqing watched you take a seat nearby, before simply shaking his head and getting on with his training.
Surely, if you saw how talented and strong he was, you'd recognise that he didn't need you essentially overseeing him and would tell Jing Yuan the same. He showed off his skills well, clearly worthy to be called a swordsmaster. Yanqing was convinced that he had tone well, truly proven you wrong, until you held out a piece of paper to his panting form nervously. "You should learn how to slow down." You said, your voice so quiet that he only barely caught it, before you left in a rush. He stood there under the setting sun, his hand gripping the paper tightly, eyes narrowing in disbelief.
'Strategic improvement needed.'
Something about your note and the way you seemed still so sincere in your work, despite your obvious shyness, humbled him more than it angered him. Which is why the next times he met you, he tried following the words on the notes you always wrote him at the end of each session perfectly. It was hard at first, as slowing down and thinking before acting was difficult and near impossible to him. But as time went on, he began noticing the positive change it had on him.
He was more precise with his movements and attacks, his accuracy now unmatchable. Something Jing Yuan would smugly praise him for, as he knew he was right in his decision to pair you two up. And as much as Yanqing hated to admit it, he could only agree, since you've taught him alot more than you may have realised. He learned how to take things in life much slower and easier, how to be patient and calm in stressful situations, how to pause and take in the moving world around him. Life seemed brighter with you at his side.
And with time, he also learned that you were so much more under your shyness as well. You were smart and the conversations he would have with you could last life times, if days didn't eventurally come to an end. You were more open and talkactive than he was at times, and whenever you lost yourself in a topic you enjoyed, he found himself wishing that time truly would slow down just so that he could watch you like this for longer.
You've taught him how to slow down and in turn, he taught you how to pause time with him.

A/N: Alright, I'm currently writing this half asleep... but I hope it's somewhat okay anyways and thank you again for the request!<33

hi yuggg :]] could I request a fem!reader with yanqing who looks up to the reader as like a mother figure (reader is older than yanqing just to confirm)
hihi!! this is very cute! enjoy
Tumblr media
Yanqing & fem!reader
✧mother figure!reader
✧fluff, strictly platonic
Tumblr media
-Yanqing looks up to you heavily, especially if you're a former Cloud Knight. He truly does think of you like a mother to him and gets so excited when he walks into the General's office and sees you talking to the General.
-He loves to tell you about all the things he's learned and how much better he's been getting with his swords. Literally begs for you to watch him spar sometime. It's not like he's trying to show off, he just wants you to be proud of him!
-You better believe his day will instantly improve if you act like a mother in any way towards him. He gets so happy if you bring him any sort of snack or just simply tell him that he has improved since you had last seen him.
-Normally, a child would be annoyed by their mother babying or 'embarrassing' them with the affection they give but, Yanqing actually really likes it. He likes it when you fix his hair or his clothes. It makes him feel so special.
-He enjoys the little things. Although he can't see you everyday, that doesn't mean he doesn't think of you like his mom. He's genuinely started calling you mom unconsciously and you can't help but laugh quietly at the boy as he's rambling on about something in a field to you.

I see requests are open now.
Time to traumatize Yanqing again.
Imagine a happy, go lucky boy who isn’t afraid of anything. He smiles brightly and does his best to improve his swordsmanship. But the worst moment of his life, the scarring “canon event” that shakes him to his core.
His gn! S/O, who is a horror enthusiast.
He cannot bring himself to enjoy horror movies like they do. He’s scared of Xenomorphs and Necromorphs make him stay awake all night. Supernatural horror makes him ready to beg Jing Yuan to call a priest or something. And don’t even get me started on the games. He’s wrapped like a burrito as his S/O snuggles him while they play horror games. With his back against his s/o, it’s easier to feel safe. But he always flinched at jump scares and hides his face.
He loves his S/O, but the horror genre might be the death of him.
-----♡
A/N: This feels accidentally targeted, because I am incapable of handling horror of any kind myself. BUT I absolutely adore old rpg horror games like "Mad Father", "The witch's house" and "IB" (I'm obsessed with them, please tell me someone else out there is too-), so thank you for this request! It's honestly pretty tame in comparison to the other Yanqing angst I've been getting.
Content: Mentions of horror Content with no real description, traumatising Yanqing as usual, fluff, kinda unserious, established relationship, sfw
Reader has no set pronouns!

Yanqing was taken very much off-guard by your love for horror, as you didn't seem like you were into things like that at first. He didn't think much of it either, mainly as he just saw it as something you really loved. And so, when you asked him if he wanted to see a scary movie with you, he obliged. He was confident that nothing could scare him anyways... or so he thought.
He died inside when the first jumpscare came in and felt his soul leaving by the end of the movie. He was practically unresponsive for a good 10 minutes afterwards, since he didn't expect it to be this bad... or well, bad in his terms, as the movie wasn't scary at all to you after all. You thought that it would be a good starter movie to ease him into the genre, but were clearly in the wrong.
Which is why you decided that video games might be a better way to introduce him to your love for horror. Who doesn't like games, after all? And surely that would be more fun than just watching a movie. Yanqing for some reason foolishly agreed once more out of his deep love for you and ended up wrapped up in endless blankets, leaning against you, as he anticipated the game to start. It was just a game anyway, how scary could it be?
Very scary, is the answer. Next thing you know, he was slapping his hands over his eyes and letting out screeches of terror. You didn't even get through the first level either. You decided to give him the controller, thinking that if he had more control over the game and, that he'll maybe enjoy it and find it less scary. But that resulted in your controller learning how to fly.
Alright, so, Movies didn't work... games didn't work... perhaps fake supernatural TV shows could? They weren't scary anyways and were all staged, so surely, surely, he'll finally begin enjoying something. And it started off fine enough. He didn't seem concerned, maybe found it even a little stupid and funny, when the actors were being obviously very fake with their reactions. But then the paranoia got to him and he began believing that every little creak and sound in the house was a result of ghosts haunting you two... A very grumpy Jing Yuan was definitely called in panic at 3 am that night and he was NOT happy about it.
Yeah... it's safe to say, that you've given up on trying to make him also love horror as much as you do. But that's okay, because he'll support your interests at all times, with all of his heart... from very far away.

A/N: I hope this was okay, because it was actually pretty funny to write lmao. Not very angsty either, but I deserve a break from the pain for the next request I have to do from the legendary Anon lmao-
But anyways! Thank you for the request and I hope you enjoyed it!
