“I feel like I’m losing him, Inupi,” idly you swirl the glass of red he’d poured for you. “And I… I don’t know what I’m supposed to–” for a split second, you glance up – meet his eyes and sheepishness takes over. Your mouth closes, and Inui gets the sense that if he reached over to brush that stray lock of hair back from your cheek, he’d find them burning. 

The corners of his lips twitch. Adorable.

“Sorry, sorry! I know I should just shut up about it. It’s Valentine's Day and I’ve barged in here all miserable and sad– oh god, you probably have plans tonight, or a date or something, right? Of course you do, it’s Valentine’s, and you’re you and…”

You’re rambling again. Partially because that’s what you do when you’re all worked up, but the alcohol’s undoubtedly playing its part. If he let you, you’d keep going ‘til you ran out of steam or embarrassment got the better of you. 

Feeling magnanimous, Inui decides to take pity on you, raising a hand to stop you in your tracks. “I don’t have a date,” he tells you with a small laugh. “And stop apologising. You’re– you’re one of my best friends. You’re upset. Nowhere else I’d wanna be.”

You smile at that. Sad and a little heartbroken, but a smile that makes his heart thud, and when you reach a hand out for him to take, Inui doesn’t hesitate for a second.

He lets you tug him closer, lay your head against his shoulder between mouthfuls of wine. “I don’t know what to do,” you mumble.

The truth of the matter is that you lost Koko a while ago. You both did. The only difference is that Inui accepted that while you’re still with him, trying.

Koko can’t have everything. He made a choice; he chose Izana, and then he chose Mikey. 

You stuck by his side. 

Even after bailing on your date night – on Valentine’s Day, with you all dressed up, pretty and fucking perfect – all but pushing you into Inui’s arms, you’re still trying to cling to the tattered remnants of a relationship that won’t ever make you happy.

Not like he’d make you happy. 

He wonders how long you sat there, waiting. 

“I don’t know what to do.”

Kokonoi loves you. He might do a shitty fucking job of it, but he does, Inui knows that for a fact. And if he were a good friend to either one of you, he’d find a way to reassure you of it. 

Inui’s hand, having drifted to your shoulder, squeezes it once, and he smiles, “You’re almost out,” he nods at your nearly empty glass. “Let me top you up.” He rises then, ignoring your half-hearted protests to take your glass with him back into the kitchen. 

No, he’s perfectly aware that Koko loves you, that’s the problem, see?

In an hour or so, whenever he’s done with whatever bullshit Mikey’s got him dealing with, Koko’s gonna come back to the apartment you two share and find his girlfriend’s gone AWOL. 

Then’ll come the concerned text messages, the phone calls – and even if you ignore those (which you won’t), Koko’s not an idiot. He’ll realise one way or the other that you’ve come here, because who else would you turn to for comfort if not Inupi? 

That’s the way it’s always been. You, him and Koko, all tangled up in the same unforgiving web.

He grabs the bottle of red, unscrews the cap and pours you a full glass. 

Koko’s not stupid. He’s not blind.

You, though… he doubts it’s ever crossed your mind. You’re loyal. Sweet. Entirely too naive, but that’s not completely your fault. How can it be, when keeping you in the dark – protecting you from those nasty, uncomfortable truths – is the only thing he and Koko still agree on?

And Inupi’s played his role without complaint for years now. He’s been a good friend to you both and stayed in his lane.

He eyes the round, white pill in his fingers. He should feel guilty, right? There’s supposed to be a little voice in his head that tells him this is wrong, that he shouldn’t want to do this. 

He waits for it to come, and waits and waits.

…Nothing happens.

Dropping that little white pill into your glass, Inui watches impassively as it fizzes and bubbles until there’s nothing left. No hint or trace. Tasteless. 

“…Inui?” you call out. “You alright?”

“Yeah, I’m coming.”

It’s Valentine’s Day, and for once – he just wants you to stay.

Thinks every part of you is wonderful, and loves you no matter what. He didn't understand what on the spectrum meant. He just thought you were quiet and maybe even a little forgetful.

Now that you said something he notices small things. The way you twiddle your fingers, the way you pick at your clothes, how sometimes you get a little excited and feel the need to run or jump.

He loves you. It doesn't matter. It does matter of course but not in a way that going to make him leave you.

Inui pays special attention to the things you say are "bad noises," or the "Bad feelings"

High pitched anything, or things that are too loud having him stepping a little closer to you. He wants to protect you from everything that upsets you.

Mikey x Reader X Sanzu

Did someone order a dysfunctional relationship at table 12?

To start with, Mikey liked you first. You were his beacon in the darkness, one could say. You would like to disagree. You’d just call it human decency, but for him, it touched his heart. He couldn't help but grow steadily attached to you the longer you guys were around each other, mostly forced on your part.

However, Sanzu noticed the very subtle changes in Mikey's behavior. He still treated everyone with viciousness, the dead look in his eyes never changing, but he had a certain softness when it came to you. Whether it was the mention of your name, or the sight of you doing a simple task, his entire demeanor just seemed to melt in your presence… and he really did not like this.

This leads to him confronting you the moment he gets you alone and spewing as many threats as he can to get you to stay away from Mikey, but the longer he’s in the presence the more he starts to understand Mikey's infatuation. There’s just something about you, maybe it’s the way you look at him, that has his last threat ending off as more of a sultry warning than an actual threat.

…and of course, Mikey will find out about this interaction. Do you think he doesn’t have eyes on 24/7? Of course, he does. So don’t be too surprised when you walk in on him later assaulting an already bloody and drugged-out Sanzu who seems to be enjoying all the pain given to him. It’s his punishment for touching you without permission.

You guys will never have a regular relationship by the way. 

Mikey will always have the most control, monopolizing you. I don't think he even really acknowledges that he shares you with Sanzu so much as he tolerates Sanzu begin around you. However, whenever all three of you are together, he hogs you to himself and gets violent if Sanzu tries to get touchy with you.

Sanzu really only gets time with you when you guys are alone, and when you’re alone he’s invasive. There’s no personal space, not a single part of you go’s untouched, and if he’s feeling particularly protestive, he’ll leave hickeys and marks for Mikey to find later, which never ends well for you.

It’s kind of like two dogs fighting over a chew toy… you could try to escape, but then they’d actually start working together, and then you’d really be screwed.

Draken x Reader X Inui

Possibly the best duo to be a part of, because they are very giving and loving.

Most of their yandere tendencies would go over your head because they both act so sweet to you. Though it was never stated or firmly agreed upon, most people who know you guys know not to try and get too close to you, otherwise, they’ll have to deal with both of them.

They both mutually kind of realized they liked you and just decided since the other person was trustworthy and wasn’t someone who would hurt you then it wouldn’t be that bad, and learned to compromise even if no words were officially exchanged. 

You find yourself spending most of your days at the bike shop with the two, and less with your friends. Part of it’s because they’ve been avoiding you in general, but you just feel more comfortable around the two of them. If everything between you three is going smoothly, then they’ll keep themselves in line and you could live a pretty decent life with them.

However, if you do decide to reject their obvious interest in, Draken’s more likely to be the aggressor between the two. He would never actually hurt you, but a too-tight grip, tugs that make you feel like your arm will tear, and manhandling you where he wants you to be, is not out of the question. 

Inui would be mostly hands-off. It’s his words you should watch out for. His insults are often demeaning and blunt, making you feel like you overreacting to the situation at hand. He won’t even argue with you, it’s just the names and the way he looks down on you that makes you feel over dramatic, despite being rightfully upset at the treatment.

This could either be a nice little paradise or an inescapable hell depending on how you act.

Okay, this is funny. I’ve seen the TikTok and honestly, those are hilarious. I'll just write the reaction of some Toman and Tenjiku boys on that one since it's really interesting. A mix of soft and hard yanderes on this one. 

Characters: Mikey, Inui, Kokonoi, and Mitsuya

As per Mikey’s case, he would not take this seriously. Don’t get me wrong, he really cares about you and loves you dearly, but he is the leader of Toman for a reason. He could easily detect people who are lying or pranking him since it is essential for a gang leader to not be easily deceived (tell that to Kisaki) But since you want to prank him first, he would also do it to you, after all, it's fair right? 

At first, he would just go on with your prank but without shedding off his usual childish and carefree attitude, which would annoy you, until you realized that he knows you are trying to prank him and is basically bamboozling you at the start, making your prank backfire to yourself. But if your acting is flawless and can deceive Mikey, well get ready for a sudden mood change that would make you wonder if you really know what kind of person your boyfriend really is. At first, he would blankly stare at you, but then, his demeanor would change, and the mood in the room starts to get darker, although his face is still the same- his eyes are not, if you look at him straight in the eyes, you could see that it's blank, as if darkness the only thing left of him is a swirling void of darkness. 

“Okay, (Y/N)-chin, I’ll put on my shoes just a moment” 

At this point, you have to say that it's a prank, or else someone would be beaten into a pulp, or worst-case scenario- someone would end up being crippled and hospitalized. If there is one thing that Mikey takes seriously, it's the safety and protection of the people that are close to him- especially his loved ones. He can’t let anyone hurt you, especially his or your enemies. When he finds out that it's a prank, his attitude would turn back again into the Mikey that you know and love. Which is scary for you since you really haven’t seen him that serious before. 

And after that ordeal, you would keep in mind to never do that type of prank to him again, although you got the reaction that you wanted, it seems that it's not the one that you expected. Sure you wanted Mikey to be freaked out and be serious for a while but his reaction unnerved you. It also made you question if you knew Mikey as a person since it is out of character for him to behave that way. 

In Inui’s case, you can actually fool him- even if you are borderline giggling while conducting your prank. Although he is a loyal and dedicated boyfriend- which you really appreciate and treasure, his sense of humor and social awareness is almost slim to none. Which made him the perfect victim for your prank.

When you initiated your prank, bursting into his room with your best serious expression, telling him to wear his shoes because the two of you are going to fight someone. At first, Inui is concerned, asking you about what happened, to which you then replied that you are going to fight some girl and her boyfriend would be in there too. When he heard those words, he quickly gets up and put on, not his casual clothes but his Black Dragons uniform and the high heels that he used for fighting- no questions asked. When he got dressed and ready to go into the supposed fight, you finally burst out laughing, telling him that it was a prank. When he realized that you had pranked him, he would surprisingly pout and hug you behind, telling you to not do that again since you know that he is not good at joking around and would take your words seriously. To which you just pat his head as he tightly hugs you from behind. Like Mikey, he would take your outburst seriously but unlike him, he would just protect you from both the girl and her boyfriend since he is concerned for you if you got hurt. Overall, he is an overprotective and loyal boyfriend-he is like a guard dog if you think about it. But that is what makes him cute and sweet in your eyes, and you won’t change anything about that. 

Kokonoi can see your prank miles away, he is not one of the most sought-out members of the black dragons just for nothing. After all, if you want to have an impeccable and unparalleled financial capability that is sought out by many, you need to sense not only your assets but also the people around you. Being observant is one of his strengths, not only sensing what other people are thinking but also on how they feel, this includes you as you tried to rile him up and make him react to your prank; which is very obvious for him, even if you rehearsed your prank to make it believable. Unlike Mikey, he would not play around and pretend to be affected by your prank. As much as he loves you, he is not really that type of guy to joke around, spending countless amounts on money just for you? Sure, but not joking around is not his specialty in the relationship. Like Inui, he is awkward about those things but unlike him; he is rather harsh on his reaction and would immediately brush it off, mildly annoyed by it. 

But if you somehow convinced him about your imaginary fight with someone, he would immediately get serious and ask you what is the girl’s name is and what school she belonged to. Even though Kokonoi is a great fighter, on par with Inui. He would much rather not let his hands get dirty and just find and blackmail someone to submission. Although he isn’t as violent as Mikey, he is still as dangerous as he is. He had the money and influence to ruin someone’s life and a mere high school student is as easy as crushing bugs on his shoe. 

As he interrogates you about who is the girl that you are fighting, you can’t help but be frightened at Kokonoi’s behavior, although you got the reaction that you want to see, it doesn’t mean that it doesn’t frighten you. Even though you know your boyfriend is into some gang activities; you sometimes forgot about that since he treats you like you are his world and doesn’t even allude to his gang activities to you one bit. But after you tell him that it was a prank, Kokonoi would lightly scold you, telling you to not do that again since it made him worried about your situation. After the ordeal, he would hire more goons and install a tracking device on your phone. Basically, making his overprotective nature much worst, unlike Inui, he isn’t confident about his ability to protect you, he still blames himself on what happened to Akane and he does not want anything bad happening to you. The possibility of someone- even if it's a woman of your age hurting you alarmed him, to the point that he is not satisfied with just being protective of you. So congratulations, you just triggered the spiral of him being a much more controlling boyfriend. 

In Mitsuya’s case, he would be rather alarmed by your sudden outburst, you suddenly telling him to put his shoes on because the two of you are going to fight someone. Even if Mitsuya is a great fighter, being the founding member of Tokyo Manji gang and having been its second division captain. He is still a rather level-headed person and would try to prod on how and why you wanted to fight some girl with his boyfriend. If you tell him a rather convincing answer, his face would turn serious, as if he going to fight some enemy gang. He then would tell for you to wait and grab his shoes before the two of you would hop on his bike and go to the place where you would fight the girl and her- boyfriend. Even if he would much rather want the fight to end in a calm manner, it doesn’t mean that he would not throw his hands at anyone that disrespects and insult his love once, no matter who they are or what they identify as. ( All-inclusive King Mitsuya 😤) 

But as he is putting on his shoes, you then start to laugh- finally spilling the beans that you are pranking him. When Mitsuya finally realized the situation, be felt bamboozled by you but then would laugh it off. Inside, he felt relieved since you don't have any enemies. There was a total of five locks (you could never be too careful, so you were told) and it would take you about 3 seconds to undo each one. 15 seconds. It would take you about 4 to reach the door from where you stood in the entry way to the bedroom. It would take Inui about 2 — he was closer, and his legs were longer. 19 vs 2.

Your heart lurches.

You had a window in your bedroom, 2 seconds to slam the door and turn the lock into place, 4 to get the window open and climb and plummet to your fucking death because this apartment o it had vacancies on the ninth floor when you had so hurriedly changed residences.

The thought makes you violently ill, and you wretch before slapping your hand against your mouth, tears pooling in your eyes that you quickly blink away, the drops sliding down your cheeks as you harshly breathe through your nose.

“Why are you panicking? We’re just talking.” Inui gives you a look of confusion. “Very calmly, too calmly if you ask me, considering that my girlfriend, whom I love very much, has been avoiding me for weeks.” He slowly stands from his seat, lithe fingers moving to straighten out his designer shirt before setting the thin chain around his neck straight. “Come sit do—or actually, we can talk in your room.”

“No!” Your hand leaves your mouth in an instant, and you outstretch your palms towards him, furiously shaking your head as you step forward on shaky legs. “W-We can talk out here.” It seemed like a terrible idea to let him into your bedroom, but the more pessimistic part of your reasoned that if he wanted to violate you in that way, he could do it in many more places than just your bedroom.

“Don’t do that.” He doesn’t stop his stride, loafers that likely cost more than an entire years worth of rent softly clicking against your wooden floors, and you’re frozen in your spot as he comes to a stop in front of you, eyes scanning your face before they finally settle on yours. “Don’t act like you’re scared of me.” He raises a hand and you flinch despite yourself, eyes unnaturally wide as he brushes his knuckles against your cheek.

“I-I…”

“You went snooping where you shouldn’t have and found some things, but that’s fine. I’m not mad. You were just curious.” His other hand comes up to touch the other side of your face, thumbs absentmindedly swiping at the dark circles under your eyes (thanks to him, no less), and your mind goes back to the ‘things’ you had found.

Guns… drugs… money… a fucking severed head that had been stowed away in a black garbage bag.

You feel like throwing up—you would have, had you been able to eat for the last few days, but every time you tried to force something down, that body-less head popped into your mind and stole your appetite.

You hadn’t gone to the police - you were too scared you’d end up in a bag, too - but maybe you should have. Maybe you should have cried to the closest detective and hoped and prayed that they convicted him, locked him away for good so that you never had to see his face again.

Only leaving clothes you either didn't want or couldn't fit. You can try to fight him, but he'd only push you back. No matter how mad he gets, he will never put his hands on you. After calming down, you'd both go to a rage room. While there, you both name things that piss you off about the other person before breaking something. It's a huge stress reliever and lets you both know what you need to work on. You clean up the mess on your own since Baji said he had no part in it. You restrain yourself from starting another fight and clean up. There was never an apology.

Chifuyu tries his best to keep you from breaking things; constantly snatching things out of your hand. Once you even attempt to touch Peke J, he loses it. He starts yelling at you with no remorse. The things he says, bring you to tears. You try to yell back, but the tears and your tightening throat make that seem impossible. He goes into a separate room with Peke J, slamming the door behind him. Leaving you in these messy rooms all alone. You curl up and cry until Chifuyu comes out of his room and sits down next to you, placing Peke J in your lap. He rubs your back as you both apologize. Mitsuya keeps his calm. His main priority is getting his sisters to safety, away from flying objects. Once his sisters are safe, he tries to stop you or at least have a civilized conversation. If you don't listen, he sits by and waits for you to calm down. For the most part, as long as you destroy your shit, he's good, but once you go for his studio, his first thought is to stop you. He grabs your wrist and brings you to your shared room. He chews you out to the point where you're on the brink of tears. After he's done, he takes his sisters and leaves the house, not caring anymore.

I don't think Hakkai would freeze up unless this is a new relationship and you've just started dating. He doesn't want to manhandle you, however, he doesn't want to stand by as the love of his life wrecks everything they've both worked hard to get. It wouldn't take long for him to snap out of his daze, as that trait faded over time, and tries to talk you out of breaking anything else. This doesn't work and only makes you start yelling at him. Now, I feel as though he would have PTSD and have a panic attack depending on what you say or do. He'd likely run to his room and call Mitsuya and or Yuzuha so that they could help. He's probably going to break up with you depending on how rocky the relationship already is.

Kazutora lashes out and hits you. Not enough to hurt you, just enough to make you realize what you're doing. This depends on the relationship. If you have a good relationship, he gives you a little pop on your upper arm. You might mistake this gesture as an invitation to fight. You know Kazutora could easily beat your ass, but you're not gonna let any man put his hands on you without somewhat getting your lick back. While you're swinging at him, scratching his face, and yelling, he manages to pin you down and explain that he meant no harm and would never hit you. His face is bloody, bruised, and swollen. You calm down and he lets you get up. You tend to his wounds as an apology, and you both clean up, planting kisses on his face. If your relationship pretty much sucks, he'd beat you. If he's treating you with respect, he expects the same.

Girl… you got the right man on the wrong fucking day. As soon as Nahoya sees you throw something, he's going straight for your things. Grabbing your colored clothes, bleaching them, burning your white clothes, and making sure everything is beyond repair. Then he's going to grab his stuff and make sure you can't get to it. Why Inui knows everything about you? You've told him about it. At this point Inui is gaslighting not just you but himself as well.

If you behave and accept his advances Inui will be the most soft spoken person you'll meet, sure maybe he's a little strange and pushy but the way he's so caring towards only you pulls you in. Yet whenever you deny him, or if you've been denying him from the start, his personality does a complete 180. He's cold, emotionless and demanding. His harsh words and insults are like knives, of course in the beginning Inui will sugar coat it a little to be nicer but if you continue with that attitude he won't hesitate to hurt you. He doesn't care much about the situations he puts you in if you misbehave.

Everything he does is because he loves you, however cliche that may sound it was true. Inui isn't used to expressing himself unless it was his admiration about the Black Dragons, so when you come along his methods may definitely seem pushy but most of it was because he didn't have any other way to tell you or show you. This man requires patience to tame but if you do it right he will start listening to everything you say.

𝐌𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 -> 𝙼𝚊𝚗𝚒𝚙𝚞𝚕𝚊𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚎:

Considering his nature, Inui will believe people are evil and bother you to torment you; even if it's you own friends and family, ESPECIALLY if it's a lover. He will one day appear in your life and isolate you from everyone, with or without force. Inui is doing it to save you so it's fine, you'll understand -He's not above killing but why would he bother with worthless people when he could be spending time with you- But Inui's manipulative skills are a little weaker when it comes to you, obviously he wouldn't manipulate you when you haven't done anything wrong... But Inui early on might assume you're just too stupid to understand what he's trying to say so he won't have any other choice.

•𝐁𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐫:

-> 𝚆𝚛𝚘𝚗𝚐 𝙸𝚍𝚎𝚊: If you stare at Inui for a long period of time he WILL assume you're just too shy to approach and ask for a date. If you tell him he looks nice today he might believe you think he's attractive -though he's a little insecure about that-. You pick something that he dropped and Inui will assume you observe him as well and would like to take care of him. God forbid you touch him when you're in an early stage after meeting.

-> 𝙾𝚟𝚎𝚛𝚙𝚛𝚘𝚝𝚎𝚌𝚝𝚒𝚟𝚎: This side of him shows up more if you're already together in a committed relationship -you spelled it out for him that you're actually dating and it's not in his mind-, Inui might even set a curfew for you because he's worried you'll stay out too late. Not only does he watch you but also your surroundings so nothing dangerous approaches you- even a ROCK. Like what if it made you trip? No. If you need to go out he goes with you. And don't think mentioning you're going with a friend will help, Inui KNOWS they're dangrous so don't bother.

-> 𝚂𝚝𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚎𝚛: Not only does he heavily stalk your social media but in real life as well, and he does a really good job at it too. He gives you gifts that have cameras on them so he can spy on you- but it's for you protection, and who could say no to that sweet smile of his.

-> 𝚆𝚘𝚛𝚜𝚑𝚒𝚙𝚙𝚎𝚛: I'm telling you, if you behave and are nice to him Inui WILL dedicate his entire being to you. The man will be enamored with something as simple as your breathing.
