barcelona vs getafe (8/13/23) match analysis

i mostly just do this for my own records but boy is there a lot to break down

-> saying xavi should be sacked is an outrageous take. yes his formations have been horrible and he doesn't use players to their full potential but also 1) it's the first game of the season and 2) the players aren't playing to their full potential either. this was a team loss. -> that being said xavi has to take a lot of the blame too. we went into the game all over the place. pedri should not have been playing a second striker role when he's been so good in a more deep-lying position. he did go back to that in the second half a little more and he was great there. another bad tactical decision by him was putting in abde and balde at the same time. i think he'd been sent off at this point but those two were horrible next to each other. -> there's no creativity upfield. lewy is being used in a more deep lying role which is crazy, he should be a target man for crosses. he's not a creator, and doesn't fit into the system. raphinha and abde were abysmal, although raphi got the early red so we wouldn't know if he'd have been good. -> abde. what can i say about abde that will be enough? he's got potential but good god he cannot make decisions to save his life. he slows down too much in the attacking third and at those crucial moments. -> ansu and yamal weren't the right subs. yamal was good, but is too inexperienced and ansu was just... subpar. i would've rather seen ferran brought in. he could've provided something that lewy wasn't. -> defensively we were fine -- balde and kounde were good most of the game and so was araujo. the midfield was okay but it was those wingers that got us. we need a creative winger who can both create chances and score goals (preferably one whose name starts with n and ends with r with a big old jr. at the end of it.) -> now for the refereeing. poor anger management from raphinha, although i would've done the same. however it's ridiculous that damian suarez didn't get a red for doing the same shit to gundo. -> xavi needs to control his own emotions better. he was like this as a player too as far as i can remember but he doesn't have room to act like that as a coach. i think the straight red was a bit much but honestly the ref had dodgy decisions most of the time. -> i think we should've gotten the penalty at the end because gavi was 100% being held and i'm not even sure if it was a handball. it looked more like a foul to me to be honest. but even if we'd scored a penalty it doesn't erase the fact that it was an appalling showing. ->we tied the first game of last season too and ended up winning, but i would be a little worried. there's a lot of work from both the players and xavi that needs to be done.

anyway that's all i can think of. horrible game but it was entertaining

Barcelona versus Osasuna

No cacho tanto de fútbol, pero como soy fan casual, igual veo los partidos del Barca y opino cualquier tontera jajaja. Además esto es Tumblr, está lleno de mujeres y gays, así que regio, calzo perfecto aquí.

Estoy especialmente emocionada por este partido, porque han habido muchos cambios en la plantilla: Ansu se fue al Brighton, Eric a Girona y Abde al Real Betis. El Barca fichó a João Felix y João Cancelo, quienes ya están disponibles para jugar desde este fin de semana. Xavi parece estar muy satisfecho con las incorporaciones al equipo, además que hay 2 jugadores jóvenes que han estado brillando desde que se fue Dembélé al PSG: Lamine Yamal y Fermín López. Eso es sin siquiera mencionar a los genios que son Balde, Gavi y Pedri, que a este punto ya son veteranos en el equipo.

Inicialmente, creí que sería un partido desequilibrado, pero Osasuna ha jugado bastante bien, atacando y poniendo en apuros al Barca. En media hora, ya han habido muchas paradas y buenos momentos de Ter Stegen, pero me parece que falta cohesión por parte del resto del equipo. Igual les doy el beneficio de la duda, porque hay muchos jugadores nuevos y todavía se están adaptando.

Justo antes de que terminara el primer tiempo, Barcelona ganó un saque de esquina y Koundé anotó un gol buenísimo, un remate de cabeza, con asistencia de Gündogan. De Osasuna reclamaban falta, pero el VAR determinó que el gol está correcto.

A la vuelta del descanso, le hicieron el medio foul a Gavi, aunque quizás no haya sido intencional, terminó con la oreja sangrando y requirió asistencia médica.

Pasaron hartas weas entremedio pero me desconcentré, y seguí escuchando el partido de fondo como podcast jajaja. Pero sé que en un momento, Cancelo le dio un muy buen pase a Lewa. y en el minuto 75, Chimy Ávila de Osasuna metió un gol.

Lewandowski ganó un penal para Barca, dejando al equipo 2-1, por sobre Osasuna, sólo un par de minutos antes de que termine el segundo tiempo. Raphinha se la pasó pre-calentando por media ahora y lo metieron recién en el minuto 90, así que no creo que este muy feliz con Xavi... Al final el Barca salió triunfante y consigue los 3 puntos, quedando por ahora terceros en Li Liga, detrás de Girona y Real Madrid.
