Guide Entry: The Encyclopedia Azsunica (Book, Knowledge Source)

The multi-volume Encyclopedia Azsunica used to be the standard repository of all knowledge and wisdom in Azeroth and places beyond. It covers subjects ranging from botany, such as the effects Doom Shroom plant, to distilling, as with the making of Fortified Gilnean Brandy, and even anthropology, evidenced by the writing on murloc culture and society provided by King Mrgl-Mrgl of Druids for the Ethical and Humane Treatment of Animals (D.E.H.T.A.).

However, in many of the more relaxed areas in the universe, the Guide has already supplanted the great Encyclopedia Azsunica as such a repository. For though it has many omissions and contains much that is apocryphal, or at least wildly inaccurate, it scores over the older, more pedestrian work in two important respects. First, it is slightly cheaper.

And second, it has the words DON'T PANIC inscribed in large, friendly letters on its cover.

The Cast Company is a guild of people who don't belong anywhere, or fit in, or are trying to start a new chapter in their life! We are (Out)Cast. We are an adventuring tradecraft guild. We have two sides to us, the adventuring half experience a Pathfinder D&D style adventure system, creating stories together in the guild, doing rp missions, bounties and research/ investigation style roleplays, and then the tradecraft social side of the guild that attends festivals, markets and sells and craft wares for these events. Greetings , Throm’ka and Ishnu-alah our friends and allies of the Azeroth Peace Council!

We are happy and excited to announce our last big event of the year The Return to Honor.  We are looking to debut this event on either the 12TH OR THE 13TH of December

If any of you have followed us for awhile, you’ll know that one of our most notable events was An Honoring of Teldrassil an event that allowed Horde characters to grieve and express anger for the events that began to unfold, as well as Alliance standing along there with them. This event took place only a month or two after the actual burning. Well, we feel what better way to end this year and expansion (even though Shadowlands will be in full swing) to return to the spot it all began. To return to the place where we all came together, to reflect, to grieve, and to express sorrow - and perhaps anger. To return to the place where we stood united, to stand together once more as we look to the future. To return to ways that are right, to return to honor. While there have been events since then that have encapsulated the need to change, we hope this event will provide an extra added dosage and perhaps a different angle to the means of moving forward. We thank you all for the constant support you have provided us, and we can’t wait to return to this event concept and be there with you. [WrA] The Sha’tari Bazaar - Noha’av

A tradition born on Draenor, the festive bazaar in Shattrath City was an annual occurrence that began only a few years after the city began to prosper. The proceeds of the bazaar primarily went back to the city itself in order to manage its well-being, expansion, and citizens as well as to aid Auchindoun and Karabor. Though the monetary gain was beneficial, the primary goal was to showcase the craftsmen and artisans of the draenic world, as they would come from every corner of Draenor, even as far as Farahlon, to exhibit and sell their best wares.

Though the tradition fell out of favor when the war with the orcs came and has not been hosted since, the draenic orders of Azeroth see a benefit to hosting it once again. Not only to revive an old tradition, but to put the proceeds toward those affected by the war-ravaged Azeroth.

The bazaar has turned into a seasonal occurrence, with each iteration showcasing a different event alongside the bazaar itself. In the spirit of Love is in the Air, the Sha’tor will be hosting an event during the bazaar known to the Draenei as Noha’av—a traditional, time-based matchmaking event intended to bring the Draenei and denizens of Azeroth together.

About the Event

Illthanyn, also known as the Cleansing, is a celebration of the longest night of the year as well as a time to reflect on the events of the past year. A time to look ahead at the new year, and shed what burdens weigh us down so we may allow Elune’s light to flow into us.

Recognized as the longest night of the year, and the eve of cleansing when Elune’s healing touch reaches out to her children. Kaldorei all across Kalimdor don formal silver or white clothes and gather in their town or city’s place of worship to celebrate.

“Since the beginning of time, we have gathered in this season to celebrate the rebirth of Elune’s light within us. ” “Illthanyn is the end of the old year and the beginning of the new one. Traditionally, the end of the year is a time to look back and reflect. It is also a time to look ahead to the future, to make plans and set goals.”

Invitation Information

This is server event open to characters who respect the Kaldorei and Elunarian ceremony. All who attend are advised to bring a few [Elixir of Tongues], out of courtesy for any neutrally affiliated Horde characters that may attend. There will be a gift exchange portion to the event.

Elunarian Ritual: The Solstice Cleanse

A trinity of three chosen priestesses recite a prayer for the gathering to honor the coming winter. Then, participants are led through a traditional ritual of cleansing, to shed the burdens of the past year and make room to welcome and endure all that is ahead of them. Throughout these activities, themes of Elune's aspects are interwoven, as Illthanyn signals the natural shift from the darkness of the Night Warrior to the new light of Mother Moon.

Ritual Attire 

All attendants are welcome and encouraged to participate in the Cleansing Ritual, and asked to come to the celebration in silver or white attire for the holy pilgrimage and ceremony.

Winter Feast, Dance and Gift Exchange

Following the ceremonies, a feast is held in Elune's name, where fruit, bread, cookies, sweetened meat, mulled wine and warm drink are shared in Her honor. In this relaxed setting, musicians typically volunteer to play a few songs to provide revelers, friends and couples the opportunity to dance together.

Musicians Needed

The hosts of Illthanyn are actively seeking volunteer musicians to perform a song or two at the end of the Winter Feast, and to help inspire revelers to enjoy a seasonal dance, to stir their hearts and warm their bones. Secret Gift Exchange

It is customary for every reveler to bring a wrapped gift to the Illthanyn celebrations. Please bring a wrapped gift for this portion of the event. You may gift something of either sentimental value or actual value (weapons, pets, etc), but it must be able to be wrapped with wrapping paper. Stackable items cannot be wrapped. The rule is you must exchange gifts AT LEAST THREE TIMES and with THREE DIFFERENT PEOPLE before you can open the third gift you receive!

Please bear in mind that you can only exchange (trade) wrapped gifts with members of your own faction and server.

What I’m Looking For: Fun! Aren’t we all? I’m looking for RP that takes place out in the world mostly. Even during dungeon runs. I want to RP with people I enjoy doing content with, and do content with people I enjoy RPing with!

Fandom: World of Warcraft.

Sole Faction or Cross-Faction: I don’t mind Cross-Faction so long as it makes sense.

Faction I Play: Alliance.

Server: Wyrmrest Accord.

Venues I Actively Roleplay In: In-game for the most part, I am going to keep a blog up at http://valgren.exodusgaming.com. Discord works too! (Valgren#7604), I’m willing to do docs and forum posting as well

Favorite Type of RP: In the world while doing stuff is my favourite type, but I’m open to all sorts.

Triggers: None? And I’ll tell you if you start on something I’m not interested in.

Things I Will Not RP: I’ll know it when I see it.

RP Strong Points: I love to roll with humour and action. I’m generally pretty quick with my replies, and I’m always willing to take a loss to make RP better.

RP Weak Points: I can’t commit multi-hour blocks to a single RP or event most of the time. I’ll give you complete focus while I’m able to! I also have like... zero contacts on WRA, so I’m trying to find my foothold into RP here.

TIME: 4:30 PM ST (Server Time) DAY: SEPTEMBER 26TH WHERE: RATCHET WRYMREST ACCORD                                                             ~~~ Are you someone who enjoys the aesthetic of Brewfest, but just don’t want to partake in the “brew” part? Maybe you want something more family friendly to celebrate and partake? Or perhaps you have a huge sweet tooth and want to eat cake and brownies in lederhosen? If you said yes to at least one of these then do we have an event for you! That’s right, this months Soup Kitchen has been done up to the theme of Brewfest, but without the Brew!  Everything the kitchen originally supplies will still be available. A faction neutral event for ALL races to enjoy themselves, get food and be offered services such as healing and emergency supplies! But why not make it fun and fit the holiday in a way for a soup kitchen? Here at the “Brew”fest hosted by the APC we’ll have food themed after the holiday as well as food typically offered at the actual festival! And instead of big tankards of alcohol we’ll have unlimited supply of delicious fizzy Rootbeer Floats in take home tankards to remember the holiday! Our hope is to create a fun festival like environment for all ages So come down to Ratchet on September 26th to partake in fun Brewfest themed games and competitions and have a chance at a raffle for prizes!! Games such as:

This competition will be a way to challenge your “Brew”fest best! Put together mogs and outfits to fit the theme of the holiday. Get as creative as you want, it can be themed after a drink, animals associated with the holiday, or the season itself.  RULES ARE: -You cannot use any of the Brewfest mogs! No shoes, hats, lederhosen, Brewfest dress that are made available during the holiday. - You cannot use Brewfest toys such as the sausage hat or Brewfest banner. - You also cannot display acts that mimic being inebriated or drunk.   - Must be a creative outfit you feel fits the theme to the best of your ability!  There will be a third, second and fourth place for glittering gold prizes!

Take a chance before the Council to show us your moves and get as wild as you want in this dance competition! (Wild within reason of course) RULES ARE: - Please have your dance PRE-WRITTEN before hand so that it does not prolong the competition! - Please do not post your entire dance in one giant post but in steady incriminates in a timely fashion! - You are allowed to wear the Brewfest mogs made available during the holiday! There will be a third, second and first place for Glittering Gold Prizes as well as the cosmetic title <The Dancemaster>

At a certain point during the event we will open up a raffle at a chance to win shop items. Prizes include any pet of your choice, any mount of your choice and then WoW time!  Gold donations would be appreciated during this bit, but not required!

RULES OF “BREW”FEST:

-This event is “Alcohol free” since this is our soup kitchen and charity event but made to be a fun chance to fit the holiday. So please do not try to bring in alcohol and change the flow of the event. There are plenty of days before and after during the event where you can partake in the actual festival in Ironforge and Durotar. (And don’t even try and argue it because we’re “Brewfest” themed!)

- Please keep giant multi-paragraph post RP to a minimum! This clogs up the chat channel and makes it hard to keep up when everything is pushed up and away. - Players intentionally who come to cause problems will be reported for disrupting an RP event. So please do not spam toys, abuse the /yell or harass others. Characters causing issues IC will also be handled appropriately!  - THIS IS A NEUTRAL EVENT. So there will be HORDE and ALLIANCE races. Do not attempt to try and spy or monitor each other! Just have some soda and pretzels! The APC has security for this reason!
