Reposted from @tshaw_designs With a band name like Dogs In A Pile, how could I not? This series was actually a really fun challenge from what I will call a "printmaking efficiency" standpoint... I reached out to the band to see if they wanted a poster for their show at @palmroomwb a few miles from my house, and I sent them an early proof of the beach scene. They loved it, but wanted to add the Raleigh and Asheville dates so they could use them for the whole NC run. Seeing as though Raleigh and Asheville don't have beaches or palm trees, my wheels started turning...I opted to use the same screens for the sky and water for all three prints, but each show got it's own black screen for a unique keyline. In the end, I cut what would have been 9 screens down to just 5. Work smart, not hard! An edition of just 20 prints will be available this week at each show. I'll have a very small online release afterwards. #5: Shuckin' Shack

Shuckin' Shack was one of the final places I stopped while living in Wilmington, NC! It's a hidden gem for sure that a lot of people are sleeping on. To start, we tried this shrimp appetizer that was a bang bang shrimp deal and it was awesome. Highly recommend!

Moving along, I tried their burger and fries. You would think a place that specializes in seafood wouldn't have a good burger, but you're wrong too. I went in here thinking, why a burger here? I was pleasantly surprised. This was one of the best burgers I've had in Wilmington!

The ranch paired with the fries was awesome. I give the ranch a solid 7/10

The sweet tea was lacking, I had to ask for something else to drink... 2/10

Overall, I give this place an 8/10 because their staff rocked!

#6: Flying Machine at Wrightsville Beach

They had some seafood deviled eggs which were interesting, but I don't think I would order those again. The burger was pretty good, but the fries were average. The sweet tea was generally good, but they definitely need some work on it! I give the tea a solid 5/10. The ranch was average, I would've rather had the ketchup... So I give their ranch a 3/10.

Overall, I give this place a 6/10. I would go back, but only if the T-Shirt Guy is leading trivia.
