Striped Carpets:  Still in Fashion and Will Never Go Out of Style
While you are in the process of renovating your home, consider adding some color to it or simply creating a new style. To do any of these, why not choose to use striped carpets?
If you are among those many homeowners who avoid using stripes and patterns on carpets because you think they may go out of fashion so quickly, you are thinking wrong. It is seen that the trend of the striped and patterned carpets will be here to stay.
With stripes, you can create an illusion of a larger space. Laying them down in any room in your home will help the area look longer or wider, so the rooms appear more spacious than they are.
If you have plain and light-coloured walls but want to see some colours elsewhere, striped and patterned carpets could be what you need. You will be shocked to see how your room comes to life.
You are renovating now because your home has become boring to look at. Using striped and patterned carpets will help your home become modern-looking and contemporary. The most overlooked yet with heavy foot traffic parts of the house - stairs and hallways - can turn into features when the striped and boldly coloured carpet is laid down on them. The hall can also look more spacious, adding more interest to the stairs.
What about the marks and dirt? They build up over time on carpets. No worries because stripes can disguise this dirt; the presence of many colors will prevent the eyes from focusing on the dirt marks. Instead, it is the colours that will visually attract your visitors.
Striped wool carpets are fire-resistant. It may be hard to believe, but you can save money on them. Why, because of this property, can you pay lower insurance rates?
Burts Online can supply you with any carpet that you need. Whether it is striped or striped wool, we've got you covered. We also can provide free samples upon your request. Yes, these samples are free; we can immediately send them to your home address. It is a way to see how our carpets will fit into your home decor.
Get in touch with us for other information that you may need or any questions that you want answered. We will be happy to help you with everything we can. Call us now and let us talk. Our customer service representatives are ready to serve you to the fullest.

Hey, for your rugs, did you spin the wool for it?
heck no! 😹 I may make a lot of handspun, but I am not yet so filthy wealthy with it to chuck it in for a felted rug, and most of what I spin is not hardy enough for that kind of wear because I like to work with finer fibers.
I shop here for rug wool. 20lbs of neutral wool for $100, dye it whatever you like, or $50 for 5lbs assorted colors.
If you DO want to spin your own for this purpose, may I recommend a breed like Texel or Border Leicester? They are super long staple and hard-wearing fleeces, a bit rough on the hands to spin, but the final product is bulletproof...and also the kind of fabric that makes people think of wool as "scratchy" (good for carpet).

This is a hammer comb. Combs like this are used to tightly press the weave of the rug. They're often carved with intricate designs to avert the evil eye from the textile.
