@womenofwonder I know. Again it’s fine you like her name or find that it works for her. I’m not trying to say it’s MORALLY bad or anything.

To me personally it’s just an excuse to have her named after “Vagina”—the character she is based on was originally named “Vagyna” and there are multiple jokes in the series about her name sounding like “Vagina” even if Vaggie is technically short for “Vagatha”. I talk more about it here

Again, this is all my personal opinion. I’m never going to try and like…DEBUNK other people’s feelings. That would be wild and pointless. But I just don’t think that jokes about a woman’s name sounding like “vagina” are funny. Comedy is subjective but it’s the lowest brow thing I think I’ve ever seen.

Also God help anyone who happens to miss that V’s name is “Vaggie” before that first vagina joke b/c they are literally just gonna think Angel is calling a woman “vagina” and that’s it. That’s the joke.
