like, I still think it’s sort of weird that Shonda Rhimes bought the rights to the Bridgerton novels, did a mediocre job at adapting the material and also kinda ruined one of the most popular pairings from the books in the process, and then proceeded to hyperfixate on her own OC to the point of creating a spin-off in which the central romance is about two members of a very white, slave-owning, racist and imperialist institution that could only maintain power through the exploitation of people of color all over the world, but now the protagonist is a black woman who’s about to end racism in 1700s Great Britain through the power of Love
#i just… genuinely think it’s weird is all#like she totally didn’t have to do any of that#she could’ve easily pulled a still star crossed and say ‘this is the world; it is diverse; deal with it’#and it totally would’ve worked#but now shonda is explicitly asking me to think of the implications so i AM thinking of the implications#and the implications are HORRIBLE#you mean to tell me one of the richest and most influential women of the time is sitting on her ass obsessing over gossip#while thousands of black people are being kidnapped and sold as slaves in america#what is going on in the whole continent of africa??? or in countries like india or china???#is charlotte like ‘oh well those poor people of africa sure have it rough and my kingdom is directly reaping the benefits of that oppression#but also my hubby just gave a bunch of non-white people from london noble titles#so that’s it <3 systemic racism is over <33#now back to lady whistledown’#bc that would make her… y’know… a shitty person….#and before anyone goes ‘it’s fiction it’s not that serious’#i know but shonda IS directly asking me to think about it with this show so! i! will!#anyways i’ll still watch the whole thing because i have no backbone whatsoever but…. i will have thoughts about it#also for anyone wondering the pairing that was ruined is obviously polin#and kanthony to an extent which is criminal if you ask me#i mean rmb is still my favorite jq book so i’m still somewhat looking forward seeing season 3#but like. penelope. look how they massacred my girl#…..oh wow i went overboard with the tags. but i’m right#queen charlotte#bridgerton#queen charlotte a bridgerton story#bridgerton books#julia quinn#stfu pam

A devastating rail crash that left almost 300 people dead has refocused international attention on the importance of railways in the lives of Indians.
Indeed, to many Western observers, images of men and women crammed into overcrowded cars serve as a metaphor for modern India. Take, for example, a report by German newspaper Der Spiegel on India’s population surpassing China’s. Published just weeks before the accident in Odisha province on June 2, the now much-criticized cartoon depicted a shabby Indian train crammed with passengers rushing past a streamlined Chinese train with only two people in it.
Where does this enduring image in the West of Indian railways – and of India – come from? As a scholar of Indian history and author of 2015 book “Tracks of Change: Railways and Everyday Life in Colonial India,” I believe the answers lie in the gigantic infrastructure projects of the 19th century – forged at the intersection of colonial dictates and capitalist demands.
---
A carrier of freight, not people
Railways remain the backbone of passenger traffic in India, transporting some 23 million people daily. In the pre-pandemic 2018-19 financial year, 7.7 billion passenger journeys in India. [...] Yet, when first planned in the 1840s, India’s railways were intended to primarily transport freight and livestock, not people. Indians were thought unlikely to become railway passengers by directors of the English East India Co., a merchant monopoly that gradually annexed and administered large parts of India under U.K. crown control. [...] However, early colonial railway policy was driven by pervasive Orientalist imaginings of a people rendered immobile by poverty, living in isolated villages [...]. The trope interlocked with colonial thinking that railways would foster greater industrialization which in turn would further a capitalist economy. They also aligned with the practical needs of a colonial trading monopoly which needed raw materials for English industries, such as cotton, to be moved swiftly and efficiently from India’s interiors to port towns [...].
---
Despite the doubters, the new Indian railways attracted an increasing number of passengers. The half-million passengers recorded in 1854 when tracks became operational increased to 26 million in 1875. By 1900, annual passenger figures stood at 175 million and then almost trebled to 520 million by 1919-20. By the time of the partition of India in 1947 it had risen to more than 1 billion passenger journeys annually. Indeed, images of overcrowded trains came to epitomize the upheaval of partition, with the rail system used to carry swaths of uprooted peoples across the soon-to-be Pakistan-India border. Third-class passengers, overwhelmingly Indians, comprised almost 90% of this traffic. These escalating figures did not, however, generate a lowering of fares. Nor did they result in any substantial improvements in the conditions of [...] travel. [...]
---
The generally British railway managers seemed disinclined to remedy systematic overcrowding, which included transporting passengers in wagons meant for livestock. Rather, they insisted that such overcrowding was caused by the peculiar habits and inclinations of Indian passengers: their alleged [...] inclination to follow one another “like sheep” into crowded carriages. These attributes were soon rendered into a more public narrative, especially among Western mindsets. Journalist H. Sutherland Stark, writing for the industry publication Indian State Railways Magazine in 1929, stated that though “unversed” in railway administration and traffic control, he knew railway facilities were not the problem. Rather, Indian passengers lacked the mental preparedness, “self-possession” and “method” necessary to travel like “sane human beings.” Stark suggested passenger education as a solution to the perceived problem, making railway travel a tool for “self-composure and mass orderliness.” [...]
---
More than a century later, this depiction endures, though, ironically, it now serves as a foil to understanding contemporary India. In a piece published in The New York Times on March 12, 2005, the author lauded the then-new Delhi metro, emphasizing that it had “none of the chaotic squalor of hawkers and beggars that characterizes mainline railroads in India, nor do desperate travelers hang from the sides of the trains.” As the debate rages on whether safety has taken a back seat to “glossy modernization projects” in India – early analyses suggest signaling failure might have caused June 2, 2023, accident – railways continue to represent India’s history.
In the heyday of empire, they were deemed the technology through which Britain would drag India into capitalist modernity. In 1947, they became a leitmotif for the trauma of the partition that accompanied the independence of India and Pakistan. As the coverage of Odisha accident reminds us, it continues to be a metaphor in the West for evaluating contemporary India.
---
Headline, image, caption, and all text above by: Ritika Prasa. “Overcrowded trains serve as metaphor for India in Western eyes -- but they are a relic of colonialism and capitalism.” The Conversation. 9 June 2023. [Bold emphasis and some paragraph breaks/contractions added by me.]

I am deeply clear that I'm an Avatar of Love. Love has been the greatest most exciting and difficult adventure of my life. It is my dharma. It is my mission. It is what I live for. It is what I am willing to die for. Love is just who I am effortlessly. It is how I am wired in my vagus nerve from pelvis to crown. It is part of every muscle fiber and nerve ending. Love is my speech and backbone. It is my breath, posture, and how I move through this big global world. Love is in my food prep and in the quality of my meals and nourishment. It is why I am incredibly disciplined and devoted in my practices and rarely distracted. Love is in my rhythmic and off-beat interpretative dances. Love has been my greatest advocate and ally into bypassing every attempted systematic limitation deliberately put into place by our world. It is love that is the sacred trampoline that bounces us towards our deepest dreams and most unusual desires. That's why I mentor women on love and loving, with attuning to and turning on the velocity, heat, and absolute truth of love inside themselves (and their cells). Because love is the highest and brightest game that we could ever begin to play. Every part of our soul knows that nothing else matters until we begin to live inside of love, to embody love and its natural alchemy and radiance. Any small or large step we take towards becoming better at love and loving transforms us (and this world) for the brightest.

Happy International Women’s day 2024 | Springfield Public School Wishing Happy Women Day 8 march 2024
Greetings on International Women's Day!
It's not a world for men anymore!
Mother Teresa reportedly remarked, "Every man needs women when his life is a mess because, in chess, the queen defends the king." In honor of International Women's Day 2024, we at Emerge India gave each of our female employees a table stand that said, "Proud to be Women!!" We also created a Women's Cell within our company, which not only empowers and inspires women to take risks but also lets them know that Emerge is always there to support and shield them in times of need. Women had become the backbone of the country during World War II, filling in for men in the jobs they left empty. who were enlisted in the armed forces. This led to one of the most significant advancements for women. She was capable of doing anything a man could do better. Decades later, women continue to demonstrate that this is no longer a world dominated by men. In their own domains of competence, women are remarkably making significant achievements, perhaps serving as role models for other women in the world. The theme for International Women's Day 2024 is "Balanc for Better," which is incredibly inspiring. The goal is to create a more balanced society where both sexes may work together in a similar work setting, drawing inspiration from each other's abilities and successes. It is not intended to minimize the accomplishments of men or to overvalue those of women. Together, let's

National Farmers Day
What is Farmers Day?
Farmers Day is celebrated every year on October 12! The profession of farming began around 12,000 years ago with the domestication of livestock as hunter/gatherers settled down and started to plant their own food. In short, farming is one of the oldest jobs around. So let‘s take a moment to give some love to all the farmers who work tirelessly to feed us year round.
When is Farmers Day 2022?
Farmers Day in the U.S is observed on October 12 every year. Other countries celebrate the holiday on different days, with India and Pakistan holding large celebrations in December.
History of Farmers Day
Agriculture is one of the world’s oldest and vital professions. Farmers have remained one of the highest contributors to economic growth while consistently feeding the people who rely on their goods. Originally referred to as Old Farmer’s Day, National Farmers Day was cultivated to celebrate the hard work farmers put into growing their crops. The date of October 12 came about as it lands at the end of the traditional harvesting period, allowing farmers to participate in festivities, which can sometimes last the entirety of the month. Additionally, every three years, the Harvest Moon will fall in early October, preceding and leading up to National Farmer’s Day on the 12th.
In fact, in Loranger, Louisiana, there’s an Old Farmer’s Day Festival which celebrates and showcases the traditions and methodologies of farming before it became the modernized and scientific venture it is today. Usually, in states in the northern US, the first frost would occur in the beginning of October, if not the middle, requiring many farmers to harvest their crops beforehand to prepare for the winter. Now, because of scientific developments in farming techniques, the traditional growing period can be prolonged to increase yield and profit, part of the reasoning why National Farmer’s Day tend to extend its celebrations in rural areas to National Farmer’s Month.
Farmers Day timeline

Farmer's Markets began in Los Angeles as a way for farmers and merchants can sell their wares from permanent stalls.
Traditions of National Farmers Day
Thank a farmer
They’re the backbone of the breadbasket and what feeds not just this country, but many other nations as agriculture is usually a major export. Make sure you thank a farmer today for all their hard work keeping bread on tables everywhere!
Buy from a local farmer
One of the best ways to thank a farmer is with your wallet. Head to a farmer’s market or join a local CSA (community supported agriculture) to get some fresh, local produce, eggs, or even grass-fed meat.
Start a garden
Or become one yourself! Growing your own food is one of hte most sustainable and rewarding ways to celebrate National Farmer’s Day. It may have a tough learning curve to plant and grow just a few tomatoes, but the taste of tomatoes right off the vine will make it all worth it.

Farmers Day Activities

According to one of the top Kansas City PR Firms, only 2% of Americans grow their own food. What better way to celebrate National Farmers Day than to become your own farmer? Think how awesome would it be if your favorite fruits or veggies were growing in your backyard. Don't have a yard? No Problem. Many neighborhoods have community gardens where you can test out your green thumb.
We're not saying to throw out your sun block, but it might be fun to show solidarity with your local farmers by sporting your own t-shirt tan! Enjoy the sunny day outdoors and learn the true meaning of a Farmer's Tan.
Why We Love Farmers Day
Farmers perform one of the world's oldest jobs
They grow our food
Farmers are dedicated, hard workers
Farming developed independently all over the globe, whether is was farming rice, wheat, bananas, shrimp, or almonds, farmers are working tirelessly all over the globe to feed the world.
It is hard to imagine a world without having access to fruits and vegetables. Fortunately, there is a group of professionals that dedicate themselves to growing the perfect produce. Farmer's play a vital role in our society by providing us with the luxury of purchasing fruit and vegetables at any given time.
Deciding to be a farmer is a decision that not many take lightly. Creating a farm requires investment, tons of hard work, equipment, time and a passion for growing food.

KANTHA: AN ODE TO A HUMBLE WEAVE
Every great legend has a humble beginning, rags to riches, and a steady rise to fame. Veaves is on a journey to bring our beloved artforms to the spotlight as they are the ones that stitch history together in a beautiful tapestry. One such story is that of the famed Kantha embroidery that stitches together fragments of history as pieces of cloth to make a whole.  Embroidery as a craft has been in existence since time immemorial, evolving in various cultures across the world. While initially, it began as a process used to tailor, mend and reinforce cloth, it fostered the development of decorative sewing techniques, being popularised within societies. In India, the oldest tradition of stitching patchwork cloth started with Kantha.
Tumblr media

Believed to be derived from the Sanskrit word ‘kontha’ meaning rags is one of the oldest forms of embroidery originating from India, tracing its origins back to the pre-Vedic age (prior to 1500 BCE).  A simple running stitch, the arrangement of different materials in artistic patterns is what makes Kantha a complex design vocabulary. Like any textile tradition, Kantha was heavily influenced by the climate, geography, availability of materials, daily needs, culture and economic factors. Kantha was a way of breathing new life into old textiles as the labour of stitching fell mostly upon women who would pull together old cotton saris, dhotis and lungis to piece them together to make one discernable, utilitarian textile.
Tumblr media
However, this quintessentially Indian craft had all but disappeared in the early 19th century before being revived in post-colonial India as a highly valued and admired art.  Kantha tells stories of culture, religion, folklore, practices, art and the lives of women within its stitch and layers.
Tumblr media
As an ambiguous stitch, Kantha gives free rein to the imagination with our own creativity being the limit. The process first begins by cutting the fabric in the desired shape and layering it for the required thickness. The artisan will then run a stitch delicately around the edges to hold the fabric layers together then proceeds to make the finer Kantha embroidery along one corner to the other.
Tumblr media
With its humble beginnings in the rural villages of Bengal, the art form of Kantha was passed down from mothers to their daughters and now becoming a craft celebrated and practised by hundreds of South Asian women.   As a women dominated craft, Veaves believe that Kantha can empower women with a means to earn income. With more and more women breaking the glass ceiling and understanding the need for financial independence, finding a skill or occupation that can help support their family while upholding traditional artforms is a novel deed indeed. At Veaves, we aim at spreading the artforms among rural communities to help women contribute to the growth of their families. In turn, this will allow the education of more young girls without the burden of fending for their families and thereby lead to a future led by educated, bright and talented women.
Tumblr media
We, at Veaves, aim at supporting our weaving community, women and other minorities as they are the backbones of our nation. Therefore, making a purchase from Veaves is to support these communities and their hard work. We are on a mission to support the craft of rural Indian women. To tell their story, to support them and bring them back to the limelight of Indian artisanal craft. We work with the weavers, respecting their skill and labour while providing them with a platform to showcase their art and support them as we attempt to motivate you with urgency on how art forms such as weaving and embroidery, something as simple as this can help change lives.
Tumblr media
he elegant patterns that we have recreated run through simple geographic lines across cotton and silk fabrics at Veaves. Achieving this on sophisticated home essentials paves the way to a newly inspired look for your home. The cultured patterns of Kantha, woven together in time, bring home our heritage, adding a sense of character and culture deeply rooted in the history of India.

WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
Tumblr media
Women's empowerment or female empowerment may be defined in several ways, including accepting women's viewpoints or making an effort to seek them, raising the status of women through education, awareness, literacy, and training.Women's empowerment equips and allows women to make life-determining decisions through the different problems in society.Women's empowerment has become a significant topic of discussion in development and economics.
Women empowerment in India is the most effective tool for development as these days; women across the world are actively working as a leader and surpassing others in all the spheres of life.Women are known for delivering multiple roles effortlessly per day, and thus, they are considered the backbone of every society.Living in male-dominating societies, women play a wide range of roles, such as caring mothers, loving daughters, and capable colleagues. The best part is that they fit the bill perfectly in every role. Nonetheless, they’ve also stood as a neglected bunch of society in different parts of the world. In turn, it has resulted in women surviving the brunt of unevenness, financial trustworthiness, oppression, and distinct social evils. Women have been residing under the shackles of enslavement for centuries now that impedes them from attaining professional as well as personal highs.Education is the initial line of defense for women who withstand life-imperiling circumstances that traditional lifestyle perpetuates. Empowerment of women enhances the quality and the quantity of human resources available for development.Women empowerment refers to the creation of an environment for personal benefits as well as for society. Women also should be given equal rights like men to actually empower them.

Best Sexologist in Delhi
In today’s world, divorces and separations seem to be multiplying due to sexual disheartening. Physiological and psychological reasons can be cited for this sexual derailment which instigates sexual abstinence or low libido, especially in males. The physiological reasons can be erection issues, premature ejaculation, penile size issues, and diseases caused by sexual transmission. Whereas the psychological issues are performance anxiety, lack of confidence, tensions, etc.
Erection Issues or Erectile Dysfunction in Delhi
When a male gets sexual arousal, the penis gets a proper erection by thickening and gets ready for vaginal penetration. But, if he is struck with erectile dysfunction, he will not be able to maintain that erection till the culmination of sexual fulfillment. This puts him and even more his partner in great distress and sorrow.
The clinical reasons may be hormone issues, blood vessel problems, and so many others. But the psychological reasons can be performance fear, anxiety, tension, and so on. A clinical approach to its cure is very important
Premature Ejaculation Treatment in Delhi A major sexual illness , found even in young men is premature ejaculation.During sexual intercourse, if a male ejaculates even before attaining sexual fulfillment, he is attacked by premature ejaculation. At this time, the female partner will be nowhere near orgasm. If this happens in the second course or in next sexual encounters, he must be brought under the clinical supervision of a sexologist. In this case also hormone, nerve issues etc. can be noted down as the possible reasons along with fear of performance, anxiety and tensions.
Penile Enhancement Treatment in Delhi
Penile size also pose as a great havoc in the smooth sexual progression of partners. Even young people have a false notion regarding the size of penis. Primarily size of penis is not a prime concern in sexual happiness. Most males equate their penile sizes with those of porn stars and this will have an adverse psychological impact during sexual activity. But some males have genuinely below average penile size and some others have penile shrinkage. Increasing the blood flow to the penis can alter this situation which can be effected by Unani and Ayurveda treatments.
Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD/ STI) in Delhi
Sexually Transmitted Diseases stand as a great threat not only in the functioning of a smooth conjugal life but in the functioning of internal organs also which can affect general health. These diseases can be transmitted through multiple partners’ sex or even from a single partner having std. They distort our skin texture, occur burns and scratches in internal tracts and organs, and finally end in sexual unhappiness and life danger.
Low libido and Vaginal dryness in women in Delhi Women also are prone to low libido or low sexual fervor due to many clinical, hereditary, chronic, hormone changes, lifestyle and relationship issues, and psychological reasons. Likewise, vaginal dryness can occur due to nearing menopause, chronic reasons, and absence of foreplay during sex. This can inhibit further sexual advancement which is also a great concern to be addressed.
The legacy of great practitioners who delved deep into sexual medicinal practices, as described in texts, is the backbone of this medicinal conglomerate which has a galaxy of herbal clinics in and out of India, which provide a holistic approach to sexual disorders and diseases, with state-of-the-art infrastructure and aided by academically qualified doctors.
Customized Treatment for all Sexual Problems Customized treatment by administering 100% herbal medicines with zero side effects is done, which uproot the cause behind the disease and eliminates it to never revisit. The high proficiency of Dr. Manu Rajput and Dr. Kanu Rajput, in conducting counseling therapy helps to eliminate the psychological blockage that is found in the path of smooth sex.

Transforming Agriculture in Andhra Pradesh: N Chandrababu Naidu's TDP Leadership and Impactful Policies
The agricultural sector, often considered the backbone of India's economy, faces numerous challenges. Farmers grapple with issues ranging from climate change to outdated infrastructure. In Andhra Pradesh, the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) under the leadership of N Chandrababu Naidu with the help of TDP MLAs and party leaders has implemented impactful policies aimed at revolutionizing agriculture and improving the lives of farmers.
Tumblr media
One of the standout initiatives is the 'Rythu Bandhu' scheme, a testament to N Chandrababu Naidu's commitment to farmers. This scheme provides direct financial assistance of Rs. 10,000 per acre annually, offering much-needed support for purchasing seeds, fertilizers, and other inputs. With over 50 lakh farmers benefiting from this program, it has become a cornerstone of the TDP's agricultural policies.
Another noteworthy TDP agenda is the 'Zero Budget Natural Farming' (ZBNF) program. Focused on promoting chemical-free farming practices, ZBNF aims to reduce input costs, enhance soil fertility, and boost yields. Over 1.5 lakh farmers in Andhra Pradesh have embraced this initiative, demonstrating the widespread popularity of natural farming under TDP leadership.
Recognizing the critical role of infrastructure, the TDP government, through the 'Jalayagnam' program, has significantly improved irrigation facilities. Major irrigation projects have been undertaken, providing essential water resources to farmers in drought-prone regions. Furthermore, the establishment of cold storage units has empowered farmers to store produce strategically, ensuring better market prices.
The TDP's 'e-Rythu' program exemplifies the party's commitment to empowering farmers through technology. By connecting farmers directly with consumers via an online platform, the program eliminates intermediaries, enabling farmers to secure better prices for their produce. With over 5 lakh farmers registered on this platform, the success of e-Rythu underscores the positive impact of TDP's forward-thinking policies.
The 'Mahila Sadhikara' program stands as a testament to the TDP government's commitment to gender-inclusive policies. This initiative provides financial assistance and training to women farmers, facilitating access to credit and inputs. As a result, women farmers have seen increased productivity and income, contributing to the overall growth of the agricultural sector.
N Chandrababu Naidu's leadership and the TDP's agricultural policies have undeniably transformed the lives of farmers in Andhra Pradesh. From direct financial assistance through the 'Rythu Bandhu' scheme to the promotion of sustainable farming practices with ZBNF, the TDP has left an indelible mark on the agricultural landscape. By prioritizing infrastructure, market linkages, and women empowerment, the TDP has set a commendable standard for agricultural development in the region. As the political landscape evolves, these achievements will likely shape the discourse around agricultural policies and rural development in Andhra Pradesh.
