Sometimes… spells don’t work the way they’re supposed to. Sometimes, an animus tries to fix a problem, but only dredges up a new one in the process.

Starcatcher was trying to fix a problem she’d noticed. Another talisman, somehow getting into the talons of someone who shouldn’t have it. So she attempted to stop it, not expecting it to backfire so horribly. Instead of destroying the talisman, or reversing the spells, it pulled new dragons into her cave.

Dragons who… didn’t know how to exist as such.

Dragons who used to be scavengers, from a different world.

Magic Mishaps is a Wings of Fire RP taking place in the same world as the Chosen, Destined and Legends RP series. Your character will be playing as a human turned into a tribe (or hybrid!) from Wings of Fire. Your character can have read the series in the past, but it’s not required. Your character must be aged 17-25 (human side). That puts them at roughly age 6-13 as a dragon.

Player/Character Guidelines:

- Must be at least 15

- Must have/be able to use Discord

- Must be able to provide either an image of your character (dragon), or a detailed description

- Must provide a basic backstory of your character, including name, age, etc. at least one paragraph

- Applications can either be sent via Tumblr, or DMd to Bug (bugsnaxx) on Discord

Welcome to Wings of Fire: Untold Stories!

About Us: We are a 16+ literate to semi-lit role play server. The RP Takes place before Arc 1, during the Great War. Canon characters and OCs are allowed!

- We have have fun emojis

- We offer a lot of creativity when making characters despite being a canon centric server

- We are beginner friendly! The staff are experienced RPers who love introducing people to the hobby. We are more than happy to help you improve in both role playing and character creation

Plot:

“The death of Queen Oasis was a shock to everyone. For the first time, a Queen had been killed by a scavenger. From this one incident, Pyrrhia would fall into a brutal war with nearly every tribe involved.

It seems as though the fighting would never end. Even the hope brought on by a prophecy could only do so much.

War brews conflict beyond what one would expect.

Skywings using prisoners for entertainment.

The Nightwings taking control behind the scenes.

The Rainwings blissfully ignorant to the bloodshed beyond the forest.

Things are even worse on the continent of Pantala.

Queen Wasp has her claws wrapped around everything, even the minds of her own subjects. Dragons don’t like being oppressed, and many are planning to dismantle the Hivewing dictatorship. Meanwhile the leafwings have split into two separate tribes, that of the Poisonwings and the Sapwings.

While we all know how it ends, so many stories of this time have gone untold. It’s time to shed light on the dark times.”

I created a Wings of Fire Roleplay server!! Its decently small rn but i hope it grows :). Its a 16+ server so no sexual content but heres a snippet of its story.

There are gods that rule of the three continents, Tranquia, Pantala and Pyrrhia. These gods are Creation, Destruction, Time, Life, Death, Water, Earth, Fire, Wind, Light, and Darkness. They lived in peace until Death grew jealous of their abilities and attacked one of his siblings. Afterwards they were forced to trap him, Life and Time gave up themselves to trap him. Years pass and seven dragonets show up at the mountain he was trapped at, freeing him. They must now find a way to trap him again before he destroys the world.

okay I was sorta lurking but I actually have a confession after reading that one about the rp servers because oh my god I had a TERRIBLE experience with an rp server. It’s so bad that it is literally the reason I have such a burning hatred for Pyrite the Skywing.

it was based extremely on wof (with some focus on the legend of Spyro, of all things) and it was called something like “WoF: Talon” or something like that; it had this edgy Bloodclan-esque dragon tribe but that’s beside the point. the server had this economy where in order to get like anything mildly special about a character you were going to play (hivewing abilities, Nightwing being born under any moons, firescales, etc.) and animus magic was the second most expensive thing, only being cheaper than literally buying moderator role. I’m dead serious.

Anyway, I decide to submit my personal animus character, a Nightwing named Gemcarver. basically he makes jewelry and sometimes puts enchantments on it of various usefulness. It gets accepted, I look for someone willing to rp. Lucky me, I guess; the owner of the server wants to rp. The owner, as a side note, literally idolizes Pyrite and unironically says that he “simps for her” and calls her “his queen.” I’ve never liked Pyrite as a character; she’s like a stereotypical shy girl who turns out to be like very overt TF bait? which is like not bad in itself, but it feels so over the top in the books. Anyway. Owner of the server decides to rp with his version of Pyrite, who is this more confident version of herself who has a husband and children, and also animus magic for some reason. We start rping, I’m having a decent amount of fun, and then he decides to do something…funny. pyrite decides to take a little piece of jewelry that Gemcarver bought just to be nice, and enchants it to basically have a second pyrite; Flora the Rainwing was born. And I was having fun with that too for a bit, until pyrite started making the spell more complicated, with ideas such as:

-flora being unable to get mad at pyrite for ANYTHING.

-flora being obsessed with Skywing culture and just Skywings in general, to the point of wanting to be one

-flora being obsessed with Pyrite specifically, romantically. Despite her having a husband.

And frankly I’m getting sort of annoyed, and want to play Gemcarver again (maybe there could be some like plot where he starts hating pyrite as he crushes the jewelry? I thought it would be cool) and saw my opportunity to get rid of it and made my shot, twice….and the owner didn’t let it happen. So I voice my complaints, like “so did I pay all that currency for nothing? the character I made is just dead now, for no reason?”

“Essentially, yes.”

this pisses me off, and I tell him that this is shitty, and he essentially just says “nuh this isn’t bad pyrite just wants attention uwu” and I just eventually dropped the conversation. and to this day I hate Pyrite with a burning passion.

Fuck that guy.

I can definitely understand why you hate Pyrite after that encounter.

She mandates that he takes history classes specifically focused on seawings” - Webs; loves singing and making noise on his "instruments"; vocally talented; Rumours have started to spread that Scallop is a part of the terrorist organization H.A.T.D (Humans Against the Tyranny of Dragons. most likely fake but continue to monitor just in case), one bad event from completely breaking down

The injury of Queen Goliath | Wings of Freedom Roleplay

He fell back hard, right into the massive hivewing roaring in pain from her claws, a thick panick as a hot feeling bubbled in his chest, somthing he hadn't felt since the day he met his parents orignally.. the queen would notice an odd green necklace around his neck, it began to glow.. before.... it cracked. And just like that, the skywings eyes flashed a bright monstrous blinding white, what the hivewibg could only imagine the Wrath of clearsight would've looked like, His mouth opening wide but no fire lay instead, instead a bright blinding white, the last thing the hivewing would see was those eyes... full of panick and a primal rage, before they slammed into the side of her neck…

His fangs instantly peirced, yet it hurt so much more then any bite she'd ever felt before, far beyond it- causing her to be forced to let go from the sheer reaction her nervous system had- her blood was on fire! Or atleast it felt like it! And where the bite was quickly grew white sharp crystals, her blood crystalizing in the spot.. it wouldn't kill her, but she'd be left with it till the day she died.. the crystals spread up and up stopping at the side of her cheek leaving a spread of near spider web like small patterns of the sparkling white sharp spikes of crystals now around the wound.

He soon pushed her down letting go of the bite as the white light faded from his mouth and eyes, the bite mark left bloody as he shot back into the air after seraphic, the necklace remained cracked..
