omg a mental breakdown playlist that's my...entire personality. i once had a playlist that was just 24 hours of funeral by phoebe titled "i am mentally unwell" because yeah! taylor does have some good screaming songs but also this is me trying is the ultimate mental illness track from her i think like blondie really said you're mentally ill how sad here's a song.

omg i like chelsea too!!! i honestly like every song she's ever done even the ones that aren't my faves are still like so good. she's just so talented. i could seriously listen to phoebe for HOURS on end and not get bored. brutal is like so much fun because it's all the anger and the sadness of being a young girl and like tbh i'm 25 and i still relate to it because i never grew up! just like taylor swift i never grew up it's getting so old!!!

omg you should at least listen to the all too well ten minute version and nothing new, those are my absolute FAVORITES of the red vault tracks. i also really like forever winter too. the rest of them are good but something about nothing new is just so...real. like there's this one line that phoebe bridgers sings (she lets a woman SING instead of doing backup vocals) that goes how long will it be cute all this crying in my room? and it's like DAMN TAYLOR??? did you have to hurt me like that.....

all my top songs were either taylor olivia or phoebe because i SUCK at expanding my music taste and i also suck at listening to music in general. like idk if this makes sense but i listen to music in my head more than i do spotify/apple music/etc. i feel like im the only person who does this but my brain is like a little soundtrack.

Your Christmas decorations look lovely! Haha it can be quite tricky with cats and christmas trees. For the longest time, my friend's parents could only have a fake tree with very cheap oranments, because their cats kept running underneath. Thank you! Our tree is fake, but the ornaments are our usual ones. Killian did knock one ornament off the tree the day after we decorated it, but it was just a plastic ball that didn’t break, and I don’t think he did it on purpose because one of his toys slid under it so I think he was getting that, so it’s all good.

Oh wow, that’s awesome! Congratulations! I hope they go/went well for you and that whatever comes next for you is great. I graduated from college about a year and a half ago with a B.S. degree in computer science, but I feel like I got a lot more out of my graphic design electives and general core classes than from my actual major. I’m still job searching now, I’ve gotten rejection or radio silence from every application I’ve submitted so far, but at least that lets me be able to help take care of my grandparents by being home. Student loan bills and other expenses are looming though, so I hope I get something soon.

We were a close family, at least. Something recent has kind of flipped everything upside down and into a bit of a waking nightmare. It feels like most if not all of my life has sort of been a lie, and someone I love and thought I knew is such a different, cold, horrible person. I don’t want to say more than that right now, but basically I don’t know what this Christmas will be like, but it’s definitely going to feel different. Part of why I signed up for CSSS again this year is the hope that it will let me still feel at least a little of the Christmas spirit.

I love cookies too, and I love baking them with my mom, though I’m not a huge fan of the cleanup lol. If it’s sweet, my grandpa will probably eat it; I don’t think there are many sweets he’ll avoid. I did make eggless no-bake chocolate chip cookie dough yesterday though because it’s been a long week and I really needed a feel-good food.

Ooh I like those Christmas songs too! What is your language, and what are some of the songs you like in it? I love listening to music in other languages, even if I don’t understand them as is. My first language is English. I’ve taken some classes in Spanish, Mandarin, and ASL, but I don’t know very much of any of them. My Spanish classes were in high school, and I’ve forgotten a lot of it from lack of use, so I can’t really speak it anymore but I can sometimes figure out meanings when I hear it. I only had one introductory course in ASL because that’s all my university offered, but if nothing else I can finger-spell. I had some basic Mandarin in college, but I want to learn more because my sister-in-law is from China and most of her family only speaks Chinese, so I’d like to be able to talk with her parents when they visit. My memory is horrible though, so it’s a very slow process for me.

Episode 43: No Propellers, Nintendo & Neon Genesis

So, I was going to be clever and lead in with a Kermit the frog intro and a Fuzzy B Bear joke, but we would probably get in trouble with Henson productions and Disney. So instead, Like sands in the… nope, that’s been taken too. Like a case of athlete’s foot, it is Nerds Amalgamated, here with the latest episode for you all. We hope everyone is safe, with massive fires in Queensland and devastating storms down south, Australia is reminding us of how unpredictable it is. We wish to say thank you to all the people of the various emergency services that are out saving lives in horrendous conditions.

This episode we start with Buck and a plane without propellers, in fact it is Star Trek inspired as it utilises an ion drive. That’s right folks, a plane that is taking a page out of science-fiction. So, my fellow Nerds, once again a piece of fiction is moving to the non-fiction section of the library, whoop whoop! Buck and the Professor are both excited about this one, and at some point the DJ gets beamed up by Scotty because he fries the Dilithium Crystals. Aww, for goodness sake man, we canna take much more of this…

While the DJ disappears Buck and the Professor talk about Nintendo closing the Nintendo Creators Program. That’s right, people who show video’s containing images of any games etc have had to submit it to the NCP for authorisation. Out of curiosity am I the only one thinking NCP sounds like OCP from Robocop? My goodness, Nintendo are going to give us Robocop in the future!!! I’ll buy that for a dollar.

The DJ returns to tell us about how Neon Genesis is coming to Netflix, and some other items that are going to be live action remakes. Let’s hope they don’t screw these up like they did with Deathnote and Full Metal Alchemist. Rest assured though, if they do screw it up we will tell you about it and make more terrible puns.
