Mr Smooth

(Sakamoto x Reader)

Another perfectly smooth day in Sakamoto’s perfectly smooth life.

He arrived just in the nick of time before the school gates closed, the rain didn’t even wet his neatly fixed hair and he understood everything said in class, even answering all the teacher’s questions right.

What wasn’t going so smoothly was Y/N’s day. By the time she reached school, she was soaked to the bone , all her textbooks were in a similar state. Her irritation stopped her from paying attention and she got scolded by the teacher for slacking off. And the worst was that she had to sit next to fucking perfect Sakamoto !

When the bell rang, she fished a snack from her bag, luckily itw as wrapped in plastic and so, was intact from the water. That sweet treat came at the right time, bringing her some comfort on this shitty day.

Mr Perfect was reading whatever a perfect guy would read, re-adjusting his glasses fro mtiem to time. The sight reminded Y/N that she had a dounjinshi sleeping in her bag and she felt the urge to take it out…

Any sort of mangas were forbidden at school, but could Victuuri wait ?

The bell rang again, signalling the end of the break and answering in inner question. She sighed and got up to throw the plastic wrapper in the bin before coming back to her seat.

She was so caught up in her negative thought that she didn’t notice the backpack laying in her path and her feet hit the bag making her stumble forward.

Before she could meet with the floor or any surface that could’ve hurted her, someone caught her, preventing the fall.

Her front was against her saviour’s chest and their hands were delicately holding her waist to maintain her on her feet.

When she looked up, she found herself in Mr perfect in person. His glasses had slipped only a milimeter from its original place and his hair had a barely perceiptible movement from how fast he seemed to have fly to your rescue.

So fucking annoyingly perfect !

Y/N pushed herself off him and straightened her uniform. Only meeting his gaze for an instant, not able to do more due to the embarrassment. Then bowed forward in a respecting manner.

« Thank you »

She caught him nod briefly while pushing his glasses back with the tip of his finger. A really faint pink tint was coloring his cheeks.

« It was nothing »

Sakamoto bowed and sat back at his desk and Y/N did the same. The classroom quickly filled with the students who went to get snacks or simply take a walk.

The teacher for the mathematics lesson arrived and ordered everyone to get their textbooks out.

Everything went rather smoothly at first, thanks to the idiots in her class who always got the attention of the teacher so she rarely got asked anything.

At one point, it got to geometry, and she had to look through the mess in your bag for her geometry tools.

She had to put her bag on her lap and searched the depths. In the process of moving things around, her doujinshi flew out and landed on the floor. The light smacking noise attracted some of her classmates’ attention as well as the teacher’s who whipped his eyes toward the object of your secret adoration.

Y/N felt doom fall upon her as the teacher approached dangerously, picking it up would be even worse and you’ll probably end up in the principal’s office for hiding one of the prohibited items to bring at school.

« Who’s is it ? » the teacher asked looking at all the close by students for the culprit.

« That kind of reading is forbidden in school, you should be aware of it by now »

The young woman opened her mouth to admit her crime

« It’s… »

« That manga is mine »

She turned her head so fast that he almost got whiplash. Mr Perfecr had stood up and was accusing himself of owning a BL doujinshi, a +18 one at that. Y/N was torned between being curious of how he would manage this one and the satisfaction the blame being on someone else.

The teacher looked confused. He eyed the others, clearly not believing the young man.

« Sakamoto ? Are you kidding me ? You can’t read boys love »

Everyone’s eyes switched from the teacher to Sakamoto

« Yaoi is an interesting source to learn about men acts and feeling when they experience love. And when most of the time we have the point of view of their love interests, so the way their « advances » are seen by the other party. Men shouldn’t be ashamed to read that kind of literature be cause it expresses our most sensible side . You should try it sensei »

Y/N refrained a laugh. Did he just told a very manly and narrow minded teacher to read a yaoi ?!

« OI ! Is he stupid or what ? » she thought

The teacher’s jaw clicked at the comment and itw as obvious that he was going to chew the hell out of this guy

« Sorry sensei, it’s mine. It fell out of my bag when I was looking for something. Sakamoto was surely helping me by accusing himself. I know I shouldn’t have bought his I’m sorry »

He was definitely lost. What to do of those two students and what about the furiusly pumping vein on his tample ?

« I don’t care ! Detention for both of you ! Sakamoto because youd dared mock me and lied. Y/N because you brought this horror at school »

He turned around the manga still in his hand and that moment, Y/N unplugged her brain, choosing stupidity.

« Sensei, can I get it back, I haven’t read it yet ? »

He turned around, eyes ready to kill her on the spot.

« Do you want me to double your hour, Y/L/N ? »

She surrendered , lifting her hands forward

« No, I’m sorry, sensei »

On that, the day didn’t get any brighter, for any of our protagonist since Sakamoto got his fisrt detention.

After class ended, Mr Susuki asked hsi two victims to saty behind.

« You two are going to clean every little corner of this classroom. I want it to be shining when I’ll arrive tommorrow morning »

Then he left, slamming the door shut, leaving the two of with their painful assignments.

Sakamoto grabbed a duster and worked right away, while you watched him, not knowing how t ostart up a conversation. She took all the necessary tools and went t oclean the windows, she was turning and re-turnign ideas in her head on how to apologize to him. Not that she really wanted to , after all the guy got on her nerves most of the time. But she felt guilty for dragging him down with her.

When it became too much for her mind to be tortured that way, she turned around, fiddling with her washcloth, took a deep breath and throw herself in.

« Sakamoto, I’m sorry that you got detention because of me. And it’s probably not even receivable since i twill be noted on your record but again, I’m sorry »

She finished her apologies with a bow and stayed like this for a few seconds, not knowing what his reaction would be.

« No need to apologize. It was on my own accord that I chose to accuse myself in your place. Sadly, it didn’t workout the way I expected. Nonetheless, I should be the one to say thank you »

He bowed, while you stared at him in disbelief.

Y/N replayed his words in her head ; she snapped.

« Are you dumb or what ?! Why would you thank me when I’m the reason why you got detention ? Ugh, if you haven’t pretended to be at fault this morning I would’ve been the only one punished. Why do you have to act so perfectly well all the time ! You should get that checked out, it’s porbably maladive ! »

With that little outburst of hers, she just threw everything she thought of her classmate right in his face. Way to go…

Sakamoto, restraightened from his bow and offered her a small smile.

« I only behaved like I did because I felt like itw as the right thing to do. I simply wanted to help a classmate out. I’m sorry if my behaviour is bothering you. I’ll try to be less « perfectly well » in your presence »

Y/N rolled her eyes, even though she felt a ping of guilt.

« Shut the hell up ! I’m not asking you to do anything and you don’t have to listen to me anyway… Don’t you want to yell at me ? »

He re-adjusted his glasses .

« I have no reason to be mad. I simply wanted to act friendly toward you. And I have to admit I find the way you treat me interesting. While all our classmates praise me for everything I do, you don’t, why ? »

« Are you serious ? Because you’re fucking annoying that’s why ! »

Y/N turned around and got back to work, knowing this conversation wouldn’t go anywhere.

« In this kind of situations , frienships are bound to be created. If you’ll bear with me, let’s get to know each other more »

The young woman froze, and try to process the words she just heard. Then turned around to meet Sakamoto’s gaze. As serious as usual, his expression neutral….

« You want us » she gestured between the two of them with her index « to be friends ? We have nothing in common. You’re a grade A student and I’m not caring much about it. I read yaoi and you’re probably into Akutagawa or something like that »

He wandered off to dust the shelves.

« I know that. But isn’t friendship based on the difference between two people and what they can learn about each other ? »

« You don’t have many friends, do you ? »

« Not really. But it would do me good to meet people who have a different vision from mine »

Y/N sighed and placed her hand on her hip.

« Okay, let’s try , and now that we’re friends, can you help me study the current math chapter, no matter what I do, I can’t get it »

He looked at you over his shoulder and showed off a satisfied smile.

« It would be a pleasure, friend »

A Mother's Love🤍

It was lunchtime, but Alliah was not in the school's cafeteria. It was always too crowded and noisy, and the food wasn't the best anyways.

Instead she preferred playing intruments to her heart's content in one of the empty music rooms. Today it was one of her favourites, an acoustic violin. It was one of the school's few undamaged ones, so she handled it with care and hoped no other student would accidentally break it.

Her stomach growled, but she knew the money she had on her wouldn't be enough to buy even a cheese sandwich. To make matters worse tommorrow would be the last day of school before the one week of school holidays, she had no idea how she would be able to survive being home with her mother for the entire time.

She would just go to the library for the entire day or something, was what she concluded.

Maybe she could read up on other types of guitars like last time, or just indulge herself in a random story.

For now, she made the best use of time by practicing a difficult piece she memorised on the piano in preparation for a competition in a few months time. It was being hosted at some rich private school, but she was easily able to enter.

After all she was considered a musical genius. If she was able to at least place in the event then she would win a large amount of money as well as being sponsored by a famous musician who was to attend to be a judge. That would mean she could finally helped her mother for their needs

A ringing in her pocket distracted her from her thoughts, and Alliah rushed to pick up without even checking who it was.

"Hello?"

"Hey...Are you Alliah De Guzman by any chance?"

"Yes? Who are you?"

"I'm Officer Dela Cruz, I'm very sorry to inform you of your mother's death."

"W-what? How?!"

"A hit and run case I'm afraid."

So it what’s happened to me now.

"Am I... going to an orphanage then?"

"Well that hasn't been decided yet. My team found out you have other existing relatives, so we'll contact them to ask if they're willing to adopt you."

She had other family? Her mum had never told her that.

"I-I see..."

"You'll be picked up after school by me, and once again, I'm very sorry for your loss."

Officer Dela Cruz then hung up, Alliah feel very upset after hearing about her mother's death. Because all this time she’s only have is her mother

Alliah’s thought she would come home to a woman who would huged her when she arrived, and the mother who loved her for the rest of her life.

For now, her only worry were these so called relatives. Alliah knew she had a biological father, but had been told once that he had died years ago.

A few hours later...

After school had ended, Alliah waited by the school gates before getting in a police car which pulled up, she was glad it was late since she didn't want to attract attention.

The driver was a petite female who seemed to be in her early thirties and wore a blank face; Alliah assumed she was Officer Dela Cruz.

"Hello again Alliah, I have some more news to tell you, positive this time."

Her other family decided not to adopt her and she could stay by herself?

"Your brother agreed to adopt you immediately, and even paid for your flight ticket to the city he lives in for tommorow!"

Dang it. Wait a second...

"I have a brother?"

"Yes, six older brothers to be precise, I just contacted the eldest one." After seeing Alliah De Guzman she added, "I'm sure it won't be bad."

You try having lots of older brothers you've never met before and see if you like it, lady.

"Anyways, for now, let's go to where you live and you can take what you need as quickly as you can."

Alliah wanted to tell her that it wouldn't take her long since she didn't have much, but then decided against it and helped the officer with directions to the block of flats where she lived.

As soon as they arrived, Alliah could feel the woman's concerned look on her. Let's just say the girl didn't live in the best neighbourhood, and the building was pretty old and run-down.

She quickly got out and ran to the flat she lived in. She found that the door was left open, by none other than her beloved mother.

Upon entering, Alliah was so upset and starting to cry out loud, and instantly hit with the usual stench of cannabis, but ignored that and went to her tiny bedroom. She pulled out a small suitcase from under her bed, and filled it with the few possessions she had. In her schoolbag, she put in her books, music notes and pieces and their pictures with her mom, as well as her sleeping pills.

Once she was done, she dragged her stuff back to the car and finally sat back down into the front seat while crying.

"Before we leave for the airport, are there any friends or places you want to visit Alliah?"

She shook her head, of course she didn't have any friends! It was safer that way, no one could risk finding out about the conditions she had lived in.

The Officer simply nodded and drove them away, and Alliah plugged in her earphones and listened to some Music.

Going through the airport was a bit long, but she didn't mind since it was her first time and she was quite to board the plane. Once she reached the waiting area, Alliah was sipping on a cola Officer Dela Cruz had brought her, and began to stress over meeting her new family.

What if they don't like her? Or they think she's not good enough?

For all people, why does my mother die? And then what happened to me now.. Alliahs thought.

"Officer...Can I ask you something?"

The woman glanced up from her phone and nodded.

"What if I don't like it at my brothers' home? Can I come back here instead?"

Officer Dela Cruz frowned before saying, "Well it's not as simple as that. I'll come in a week or two's time to see how you're finding it and if it really isn't working out- by that I mean things like if there's signs of abuse or the financial situation is bad- then you can come back."

"Ok..." The response hadn't been quite what Alliah expected, she thought a simple 'I don't like it here' would be enough for her to avoid living with these people, but there was more to it than it seemed.

"But hey, once you're 18 there's no stopping you from going or doing what you want, right?"

"I guess. Thanks Officer."

With that Officer Dela Cruz continued scrolling through her phone.

An hour or so later, it was time for Alliah’s flight. It was quite late at night and the plane was due to land in the morning. She shared an awkward but warm hug with Officer Dela Cruz before pulling back.

"See you, and thanks for the cola Officer."

"Goodbye Alliah, and just call me Mel."

Alliah changed her mind, Mel was not as bad as she had initially thought.

While alliah’s in her way to her new family they start to think about her last conversation with her mother.

Alliah’s Conversation with her mother ..

'I really like the sound of your voice everytime you say you love me, baby.'

Alliah smiled softly and stared at her mother eyes, the eyes of the woman whom She have loved for years. She still looks beautiful even with the wrinkles on her face, or with her hair turning into gray.

Alliah’s smiled even more as She reminisce their memories back to the good old days, the days when their still young and strong, the days when their still fully able to get along.

Alliah bent down and searched for a black pen and a paper to write on inside her backpack. While she sits still, silently, calmly taking in its beautiful scenery.

When Alliah finally found the things She needed, She placed it on her lap. Then, She waved her hand which got her mother attention.

"I love you," She uttered and waited for her mother response, wishing she would respond. After all, she has always loved to hear they say these words since She was a kid.

But maybe, She got her hopes too high again because she just stared at her with a knotted forehead, as if she's confused.

Alliah gulped down the longing that She felt, trying so hard to stop her self by crying even when her chest aches too damn much. She still can't understand what I'm saying, she can no longer understand. I've been trying, I've been wishing, I've been praying every single day, begging Him to make her understand me again. Nothing happened.

I held the pen and wrote something on the paper. Then, I handed it to her, now with a big smile plastered on my face. For this queen should not see any signs of weakness from me.

She took it immediately and looked at the paper for a while. And suddenly, tears started to fall from her eyes. I almost panicked, thinking that I made her feel upset. Maybe she sensed it, or maybe she knows me this much that she shook her head before I could even ask her what's wrong.

Without a word, she hugged me. She hugged me really, really tight, making sure that I'd feel her unconditional love with this simple act.

"I love you."

I've been telling her these words for years and I'd still say it over and over again, even if she couldn't understand what she hears anymore.

"I love you, Mama. I will never get tired of loving you. I love you. I love you. I love you."

While thinking of it Alliah’s started to cry again and thinking what happened next with him without her beloved mother.

HeliosR - Dino Albani Character story - part 3

Translation of the third part of Dino’s character story from ‘Helios Rising Heroes’.

Dino: Fuh! Haah…!

Dino: Hey-ho….!

Dino: .....

Dino: Phew…. Guess I’ll take a break….

Brad: Looks like you’re putting quite the effort in it, Dino

Dino: !! Brad…!

Brad: I’ve heard you’ve been training every day lately. Aren’t you burdening your body?

Dino: It’s all good. I’m completely back on track and have more than enough strength to use

Dino: Wait, am I hogging the entire training room too much? Did you come to see if I had put a claim or…..?

Brad: That’s not it. I simply came to check up on you.

Brad: You returned to HELIOS and got admitted as a mentor in West immediately. I want to hear if there’s anything outside of your physical state that you’re having trouble with.

Dino: Ah, that’s what it’s about. It’s not like there’s anything bothering me right now?

Dino: Tower’s not looking too different than before either…. I can’t be more thankful to people I know and everyone else that are welcoming me back.

Dino: ….Well, the current situation is as it is though.

Brad: ……….

Dino: Being a mentor…. It’s going kinda so-so?

Dino: I’m trying out various things to learn more about Junior-kun and Faith-kun though. Like, copying Jay’s methods and inviting ‘em to play some catch♪

Brad: Catch huh, been a while since I heard that. Honestly, I’m not too worried regarding that.

Brad: Compared to other mentors, your skill in communication is high. ….If anything, I’d want Keith to have more of a sense of danger.

Dino: Ahahah…It does feel that Keith’s the same as ever

Dino: Like, the type of guy to keep saving his energy. Was a bit of a shock to learn that he drinks that much though….

Brad: ….Whether it’s about the rookies or Keith, if there’s anything that’s weighing on your mind don’t hesitate to tell me about it. I’ll give you my support as the Mentor-leader

Dino: Thanks. Man, you being a Mentor-leader’s giving me a big sense of security

Dino: Back at the academy too, I remember teachers going on how it was such a peaceful year when you were the president of the student council

Brad: Hmph…… Fellow students would frequently heckle me though.

Dino: Still, when once in a while you’d be organizing events, all these complaints would get cancelled out by the good vibes, right?

Dino: You properly did what you’d promise, but still listened to what people had to say around you…. Seriously, it made me think that you’re such a smart guy

Brad: I was merely preserving the balance so the order wouldn’t get disrupted.

Dino: That you can do it is amazing enough. I’m the type that lets my feelings go ahead and do whatever I want, I totally can’t be serious

Dino: I admired you since forever, but this gave me a newfound respect for you

Brad: ………..

Dino: Ah, right… Remembered there was something I wanted to ask about, can I?

Brad: Yeah, go ahead

Dino: My physical condition is back to where it once was…. With my intuition it’s kind of a different story which is bothering me.

Brad: Intuition?

Dino: Yup. Until now I…. had been moving my body while I was at Eclipse, but it wasn’t like I was controlling it myself.

Dino: I’ve been training everyday while trying to recall my intuition from before, though I can’t feel that I’m getting ahold of it

Dino: So with that, if you don’t mind…. I want you to do a bit of sparring with me!

Brad: What……?

Dino: If you still have work left to do then tommorrow’s fine too, or rather, whenever you actually have the time is totally fine too!

Dino: And I know veeery well that you’re busy----

Brad: It’s not a problem

Dino: Really!?

Brad: Yes. However, would I be good enough?

Brad: Even if it’s a light match, I might be lacking in strength to take you on

Dino: What are you going on about, Brad. Who else am I supposed to fight if I leave you be?

Dino: Honestly feel like I’m lucky since you came here. Thought to ask at once if you were gonna stay

Dino: Ah, and…. it’s not just a light match, let’s do it seriously

Brad: …….

Brad: Hm, let’s go then

Brad: Haah….. How about it, have you regained your intuition, Dino

Dino: Heheh yup, all thanks to you♪

Dino: Aaah, been a while since I felt this. It’s making me think of how I enjoyed to sparring with you back then

Dino: How do I put it? It’s reassuring to feel that I can always go all out and fight with everything I have?

Dino: Of course Jay and Keith are strong too, and their respective powers are worthwhile in different ways but….

Brad: Same here, I’m also able to gain a lot from sparring with you

Brad: It’s been a while since I had seen it, but your power is truly an interesting one. It’s certain that you’re flexible, yet again and again you exceed my expectations by thinking outside the box.

Dino: ‘Cuz it’s the style of a wild wolf. I can use different martial arts at my disposal, but basically it’s like resorting to the senses of an animal….. such as “Don’t think, feel”?

Brad: Oscar would be envious if he were to hear that we fought each other.

Brad: He highly thinks of you as his mentor and respects you. If perhaps next time you need a sparring partner, give him a call

Dino: Ooh, that’s a good idea. I’ll do it♪

Dino: I’m telling you though, you’re the one that Oscar idolizes the most. He’d go all like “You sparred with Brad-sama!?” and get jealous, ahaha.

Brad: I also admire you.

Dino: ...Eh?

Brad: During battle it’s a given, but your friendly personality that can be open about anything to whoever, and how you’re honest and such…..

Brad: You always had what I was lacking

Dino: Uwah…. It really makes me happy to hear that coming from you….. Actually, kind of a bit embarrassing?

Brad: You said the same thing yourself earlier.

Dino: Right. How I admired you and all...

Dino: Nihi, great to see that we feel the same about each other♪ Love and peace…..☆

Dino: Guh! Kinda just noticed Keith’s staring at us suuuuuper hard now!

Dino: Let’s go give Keith some honoring too!

Brad: Hmph. If you were to ask me what’s there to admire about him, you wouldn’t get it out of me any time soon

Dino: Ahahah…. But well, Keith’s got his strong points too

Dino: Seriously, I’m glad from the bottom of my heart that we’re classmates. And that I could also come back to where you two are……..

Dino: Really, thanks for sparring with me. I had lotsa fun!

Brad: Yes….. I was able to spend my time productively too.

Hey uh @lycanthropic-tongue-twisters even though this story is a result of me trying to cope with my own current panic attack over graduation tommorrow, I was thinking about you while writing it, bc small fandom OTP solidarity yo. So um....hope you like it? Sorry I'm so bad at this thing we call writing. And this thing we call not being a huge cliche. Lol

Merton’s heart beats out a furious tattoo, his attention completely rivited on the figure of Tommy standing directly in front of him

The world has been dimmed down to the tunnel of his vision, the roaring of that pulse drowning out all of his other senses. He’s used to that feeling by now, that churning pit of gnawing anxiety settling like a rock in his stomach; his natural fight or flight instincts kicking in, making him twitchy and on edge, every muscle poised and strung taut, like over-tuned piano wire. His body is one more stimulus away from wrenching apart at the seems and sending him bolting from the spot he’s been rooted to for the last half hour.

He could never do that to Tommy, though. It’s the last thing he would ever want to do in this situation, not when they’re so close to their goal. They’ve been working towards this moment for so long, and Merton will be damned if he’s going to be the one to ruin it. Not for Tommy, and not for himself. It’s just too important for him to screw up. So he won’t.

He stays where he is, never moving a muscle, feet planted firmly in one spot, staring anxiously at Tommy, who gives his hands a reassuring squeeze. He lets the other’s presence ground him, reassure him, keep his nerves in check.

Dimly, he can hear the figure in front of them droning on, as the frantic rattle of his heartbeat slows just enough for him to be sure he won’t pass out before the whole thing can even be completed.

He’s so caught up in calming himself down in fact, that his mind barely registers when the droning actually stops, too caught up in his own head to even notice, much less realize what it means.

What he does notice, however, is when Tommy gives his hands another squeeze- slightly firmer this time -and jiggles their conjoined hands a bit to grab his attention. Merton’s face is a rictus of confusion as he grapples through his nerve clouded thoughts for what the hell he’s supposed to do next. Oh god. Where are they. What just happened? What was he supposed to even say right now, he was so lost, oh god. Oh god.

There’s a half-amused, half-worried smile on the werewolf’s own face as he almost imperceptibly inclines his head in the direction of the now-silent figure before them. Merton turns his eyes to the man, who gives him a patient smile of his own and repeats his last question.

And finally, finally, Merton can relax. He knows the answer to this question. Has known it for a long time, since they were kids scrambling for answers and fighting their way out of whatever situations life managed to throw at them together.

He looks back to Tommy, his gaze for once confident, and his response is the most sure he has ever been about anything in his entire existance.

“Of, course I do.”

The officiant smiles, but Tommy is beaming.

“Then, by the power vested in me,” he starts, “I now pronounce you-”

He doesn’t even get to finish his sentence.

Tommy- now his husband, and holy crap how did he ever get this lucky - grabs him by the shoulders and jams their lips together in a kiss so passionate it’s almost overwhelming. The werewolf’s lips are chapped and rough, but also warm and soft and real, this is real and it’s the happiest Merton has ever been, the happiest he thinks he’ll ever be, because he can’t imagine anything surpassing the joy of this moment. Except for maybe the rest of their lives together.

They end the kiss, Tommy perhaps realizing that, while the guest list for the ceremony was small, there were still people around. Something in his eyes says, however, that they’ll be continuing where they left off later.

Those same eyes glow with satisfaction, weather it’s from the Wolf demonstrating its approval, or from the sheer exhilaration Tommy feels at finally being married, Merton doesn’t know, but he echos the sentiment in his own gaze before reaching up to softly cup Tommy’s face in his hands, bringing him down for one more kiss.

This one is much gentler and more chaste, but Merton tries to put everything he’s feeling at this exact moment into it. The joy, the relief, the devotion. The sheer, unadulterated love he feels for the man before him. He hopes Tommy picks up on it, is pretty sure he does if the way his look softens and his eyes well up ever-so-slightly when they break apart again are any indication.

Merton is this close to tearing up himself when he gets a gentle nudge to the shoulder from someone behind him. Lori is there, smiling at the two of them, and looking absolutely stunning in the maid of honour dress she’d designed for herself. She tells them both that they need to start heading to the reception hall if the want to make it there on time, and they both realize they’ve been standing there just a hair too long, lost in the feeling of each other, and of finally being married.

They turn and head down the aisle as one, never breaking their grips on each other’s hands. The thoughts from earlier returns to Merton. Not the nerves, or the anxiety, or the fears of disappointing Tommy; those are gone for the moment, replaced with the certainty that this is where he’s meant to be. Instead, he thinks about how damn lucky he is, to have found this, to have found someone like Tommy, someone who makes him happier than he thought he ever would have deserved to be.

Those thoughts are the ones that stay with him. They stay through the ride to the reception site- an old, Victorian-inspired ballroom that was rumored to be haunted by the locals, and that Tommy let him pick, because he was the actual best -and through the dinner that they barely get to eat between all the well-wishing and photo-taking. Those thoughts stay through their first dance together as a married couple, and through the rest of the evenings festivities, which last late into the night, accompanied by the sounds of laughter and tears, and genuine camaraderie. They stay through the goodbyes to their friends and Tommy’s family, and Becky- who hugs him tighter and longer than he ever thought possible for her, and tells him that she’s happy for him, sincerely; that he deserves this. They stay through their first night together as husbands. And through the next. And the next. And the next.

Those are the thoughts that stay with Merton for the rest of his life with Tommy. The good times, the bad times, the dark times, the boring times. And all the times betwix, between, and beyond. They remind him that, whatever happens, whatever shit they have to go through, they’ll do it together. Because when they’re with one another, they’re home.

Have you ever find yourself stuck? Be it an artist block, a writer block, a routine that dosen’t suit you anymore, or even just a job which you hate with every fiber of your being.

Well, that’s where I am right now. And this is make me livid, ‘cause all these blocks are comin’ together and I have no idea how to come out of it.

I just feel like I need a fresh start, a fresh start that should have come like months ago and didn’t because of CoVid and… and… I don’t even know anymore, this is just so infuriating!

Okay so, I’m gonna cut the post ‘cause this is just really me babbling with no logical sense and I just need to let off steam with eyes that don’t know me and once I’ve thrown it all out, the story ends there. Well, here, with this post. And end.

I cannot continue like this.

I just feel so… lame? I don’t even know where to start… It’s so silly just to think of it, but I didn’t have a mental breakdown in summer only thanks to the Summer Season of A3! That is, like, the only thing that didn’t screw up in these past… well.. seven months.

I finally got an house with my bf, and we STILL live with our parents because covid slow down people and factories and there’re have much work that accumulated during the lockdown and so we are like three months with no bathroom instead of a couple of days. Or a kitchen. Or a proper bedroom. And don’t even let me start talking about the volture of water, gas and electricity connections… It took like two months. And do we want to talk about the windows?! I got seven damn holes in the house, ‘cause the company entrusted with the job is stuck and cannot come built them for another couple of weeks, and, I don’t know if you noticed, but AUTUMN CAME IN LIKE HALF OF A DAY and I passed to have a empty house (except for the wc and bidet and rubble in the middle of the salon) to A DAMN POOL! Complete of waterfalls on the stairs… Thank you.

Wanna talk about the job? Ah ah ah. Where should I start? I feel like I’m going to cry just thinking about it, tbh… I didn’t get fired, I didn’t stay home during the quarantine, I didn’t have really any money problem, so honestly, this feels selfish and like I’m beeing really ungratutitude for the only fact that I still have a job, but… This is not even a job anymore, this is (Lord excuse me for this term) slavery. In the past months I’ve been doing nothing but beeing caged in those four walls, I worked the ass out of me for 10h/day, giving those bitches more than 60 hours of my weeks, and what did I got back? I gain around 900€/month, I have no job level on paper, but I am supposted to constantly direct two people (one of them who even earns twice as much as me), all the orders and in and out, the organizations of our cold rooms and the decide on the organization of the kitchen and production, all while, obviusly, doing my own work at my own repartment, which is packaging. Oh, I almost forgot to add that thanks to CoVid, we were like one third of the staff for three months and I started to cover the office’s workload too. And OF COURSE, even when all the staff should have been came back to work, the boss had the brillant idea to say: “you know what? We manage to work well by yourselves, SO WE SHOULD CONTINUE LIKE THIS”. The problem here is… THE WORKLOAD QUADRUPLE and the staff memebers DID NOT! And of course, due to awful work organization (because we are NOT ENOUGH) the workload incresed even more than it should be, and so we got stuck at work more than necessary. And add the psycological (both in-work and out of it, ‘cause the world’s situation) and physical (I run at work… I don’t stay sit, I litteraly have to run) stress, extend it for months, and my body just started to collapse. And yesterday, it gave up.

AND THE CRAZY THING IS: I FEEL GUILTY!!! Because I still DAMN CARE about my job, because IT IS MY JOB.

I feel guilty towards people who make me work 12hours straights with no pause, who not give me time to eat at lunch and let alone dinner… Dinners do not exist, I check in at work at 07h00am and check out past 03h00am of the night after with a pause of a quarter of an hour (recorded as a full hour’s pay break) for lunch. I feel guilty towards people who stopped pay me overtimes without a word and pay me like two months later (I get my November’s pay at the start of January), people who make me felt so guilty to crush my car (after a month where I did 153 hours overtime, ya’ gonna add the normal 40hrs/week to that) and almost died that I couldn’t look them in the eyes for like five months (and didn’t speak to me for months when I came back, not even a “goodmorning” or “how are you”)… and all this because I was injured for two weeks, rather than at the health insurance, so they had to pay a penality or sometheing like that (well, EXCUSE ME if I was TIRED). I feel guilty towards people who have the time of their life screaming and denegrating the people who work for them, every sigle day, having as a hobby to take us down and tell us we are just not enough and all we care about are our paychecks and they should just get rid of us and stuff like that…

The fact is I am so infuriating to myself to even feel this guilt, but I don’t know how to stop feelin’ that… I wish I could tell them to stop, I wish I could just rebel, I wish I could just do my 8hours/day, doing just the tasks I am payed for, and then have the courage to walk past that door, no matter if it is all done or not… I really wish I have that strength, but I… don’t… And I’m ashamed I do not.And most of all, I’m furious at myself for not being able to just let it go, fire me from that hell and get a new one. And all beacuse I’m scared they are right, maybe I’m really not enough, not good at anything and won’t be able to find anything else… Or if I find something, can I really be sure it will be different? I saw a lot of people pass before my eyes in the last three years, all of them telling me “what the hell are you doing here?”, telling me that I should just fire me and get a new job, because I deserve more, but truth is…

I’m afraid. And even if I’d love to quit this job, I’m too afraid to do it.

Brax is a Afthead dawarft. Elaris sighed as she went into her office. She sat down in her swivel chair as she went onto her computer. Elaris saw pictures of cars. She knew who was in here. Brax "BRAAAAAX! COME IN HERE!" Elaris screams. Brax comes in running. "Yeah Elaris?" Brax said "Where you on my computer?" "Why? where you doing Something?" Brax said . "I WAS ON MY WATTPAD YOU DAWARFT!" Elaris screamed as she chased Brax out of her office. "COME HERE LECTRUS!" Elaris said as they ran down the hallway. "You can go on it again! I'm sorry I'm sorry!" Brax said as Elaris tackled him. Ratchet groans and got out of bed. His girlfriend—Cora was on her wattpad, Cora looked to her boyfriend. Ratchet "Didn't sleep good?" Cora asked looking at him. "Yeah, my back has been killing me." He complained. "Ratchet you where supposed to go to that doctor?" Cora asked. "Dr Johnson rescheduled, I'm going tommorrow." Ratchet said adjusting his back. "Oh that's better." They got cut off as they herd another thing break out in the hallway. "AHHHHH GET OFF OF ME!" Elaris screamed. "no Elaris!" Brax said! Ratchet sighed. "I'm gonna see what's up." He got out of the room as he walked down the halls. He saw the two fighting. "Dear primus help me." Ratchet muttered. "YOU ARE AN AFTHEAD!" Elaris said. "DAWARFT!" Brax said. "YOU CAME INTO MY OFFICE AND TOOK A DUMP ON MY DESK AFTHEAD DAWARFT!" Elaris said. The two where stopped by the leader of The Galactic Rangers—Ratchet. "HEY!" Elaris and Brax yelled. As Ratchet jerked them away. "Elaris, what happened?" Ratchet asked. "Brax went into my office and ruined my wattpad!" Elaris said. "And I'm talking to YOU DAWARFT!" Elaris yells at Brax. "Frag you!" Brax yells back. "Your an afthead! Pice of slag!" She said. "stop!" Ratchet said. "Elaris For fighting with Brax, you are staying here with him to clean up base." Ratchet said. "But, Ratchet! I have plans with Brooke to see The Fast and the Furious 1-7 series!" Brax whined. "I'll double it for you Lectrus! DO YOU UNDERSTAND TTHAT?!" Ratchet yells. "SIR YES SIR!" The two rangers said. "Good." Ratchet said walking off. Happy birthday Cora! Ratchet was on his iPhone 6. He was PMing Brax on wattpad. As he was chatting with his friend, he got a Reminder that said March 24rh 2017, GF's B-day. Ratchet saw the reminder and nearly screamed. He texted Brax to see where she was at. Brax saw the text and looked at it. Then he texted his leader and friend back. Ratchet was making something special for her. He knows she loves him and he loves her. He decided to play her a song. She loves Akon so he wants to do a song that involves Akon. He went on YouTube and searched up some songs that involved Akon. He then found the perfect one. Kewan was beautiful at night. The black purple and blue sky was twinkling with stars. The lights of the buildings, billboards and cars where spectacular. Ratchet and Cora where driving in Ratchet's bright blue 2009 mustang to Cora's favorite restaurant. They where there. They went inside Villagio. Ratchet was wearing jeans and a polo shirt. His AllSpark necklace was around his neck. He made the reservation for four people. When Brax Elaris and Clank got there they all went to a table and sat down. "So, Cora how old will you be?" Brax asked. "She'll be 20 Brax." Ratchet awnserd for her. A woman walked up to the table. "Hello guys and Wellcome to Villagio my name is Vendra and i will be your waitress for the evening. Can I get you all something to drink. "A white wine for my girl." Ratchet said. "And for you?" She asked. "I'll take a Diet Coke." He said pulling out his phone from his jeans pocket. "For you guys?" She asked Brax and Elaris. "Do you have Bud Light?" Brax asked. "Yes we do." Vendra said as she wrote it down on her tablet. "And for you guys." She asked Elaris and Clank. "I'll have an iced tea." Elaris said. "And I will have the same thing." The British fifteen year old said. They got their drinks, they ordered their food and ate and talked. They where now at Cora's house. Ratchet was setting up his acoustic guitar and played a note. "All right, I am going to play a song by Cora's favorite singer, Akon. She saw her boyfriend. Singing. (Go on YouTube and search up Akon nobody wanna see us together) Konvict, konvict, konvict Oh, oh, oh, ooh, oh, oh Oh, oh, oh, ooh, oh, oh Ratchet starts to sing the song to her. Can a person get medicare Insurance at 62 years old? What are the options?

I work with a guy who can retire this year because he will be 62 years old. And although he has a good retirement pension plan. He tells me the drawback is that he will not be eligible for medicare until he is 65 so he will probably have to work until then. Because of this I being much younger will more then likely will get a pink slip this year and be looking for work. This guy has way more seniority . Does this man have any affordable options? He really wants to retire.

Here's the situation: I've had health insurance for the past few years through Nationwide, which is/was provided by my employer. The cost is taken out of my check every week. I received a letter from my employer last December stating that I did not have to change anything in regards to the Affordable Health Care Act. Two months later, I received a letter from my insurance company saying that I have inadequate coverage and need to visit healthcare.gov to find different coverage. I found new coverage through Blue Cross Blue Shield through healthcare.gov (I was planning on going BCBS anyway). I asked the woman who I spoke with when I should cancel my previous insurance benefits. She replied Wait a couple of weeks until you get all of your new information from BCBS . Here's where the issue comes in. When I contacted Nationwide (my previous insurance company) to cancel they said I had to fill out and send back a form. Basically, the form asked why I was cancelling. Go figure there was no option for them not having the correct benefits. Anyway, I sent that back and proof of my new policy (they wanted the effective date) Nationwide DENIED my request to cancel stating that I only had 30 days from the time my new coverage began to inform them. Even though their coverage doesn't meet the AHCA requirements, I cannot cancel until my company's open enrollment (December) Can they legally decline my cancellation request?""

Tales from the Empire, Book 1 Chapter 2

Fire, Air, Water, Earth

46 Years ago, Avatar Korra brought balance to the world be reopening the spirit gates between our realm, and the Spirit World. 30 years past, and a new threat arose, the person calling themselves “The Concordat”

Book 1: Service, Chapter 2, New Beginnings

The forest buzzed. It buzzed with animal noises, it buzzed with the groaning of trees expanding in the daylight, and it buzzed with heat. Kasei hiked up the hill, a sack of meat she had just hunted down slung over her shoulder. In front of her, she could see the break in the trees marking where she and Ling had made camp for the night. Pushing herself the final steps out of the humid forest, she collapsed to the ground and felt the immediate bliss of the clearings fresh air. She laid still on the ground for a minute, catching her breath before sitting up again and looked around the clearing. She saw that Ling had returned from gathering nuts and berries and the like and was now practising earthbending. Ling had the scowl of concentration he always had when he used his new found gifts. His shoes had been kicked to the side and his toes dug into the earth. Suddenly, Ling lifted up and stomped his foot into the ground, causing a pillar of earth to shoot up and hit him squarely in the face. Kasei laughed and said “Truely I am in the presence of the greatest earthbender of all time. Even Avatar Kyoshi would fear your might.”

Ling wiped some blood away from his lip and took his homemade earthbending stance again. Yelling, he suddenly levitated a large boulder nearby and threw it through several trees on the edge of the clearing. Grinning at his handiwork, he said “I don’t see you practising. Did you have Firelord Zuko teach you? Are you the greatest firebender of all time?”

Kasei said “Ten days on the road together and that’s the best you can come up with Mudboy? My grandmother could insult people better than you and she could find the redeeming qualities in a Bloblemur. And no, I don’t need to practice because unlike you I’m putting my talents to use hunting.”

Ling sat down now as well and began eating a couple of berries from his sack. They had gotten the sacks off of a caravan they had passed a few days ago, despite Kasei’s multiple protests. Ling told her they wouldn’t have missed them anyways. Looking around, Ling told Kasei “We should be about a day from town now. Once we arrive we head straight for the central temple and join the local garrison. That should help us hide from that crazy Airbender.”

Kasei nodded, not happy to be reminded of the man who had ordered the execution of her family. Looking around, she asked Ling “Where do you think he is? It’s been days since we last saw one of his troops and it looked like they were splitting up to find us.”

Ling scratched the back of his head and shrugged “I think we gave them the slip. Not many people could track us through those woods and I doubt anyone of them belong in that group. The Spirit World is still strong in this place. The temple was one of the places where the Concordat created the seal. They are like a few days behind us.” Suddenly, a blast of air shot past Ling’s head, nearly hitting him. He blinked before saying “Or they are right behind us. RUN!” Ling grabbed Kasei’s arm and made off for the woods. Captain Lon sprinted out of the trees after the pair of them.

The chase went on for several minutes before Ling said to Kasei “I’m going to try and get us out of this, but you have to trust me.”

Kasei had just fired another fireball at Lon, who was jumping from tree to tree and firing airblasts at the pair. Kasei said “Trust you, why would I need to trust you...”

Ling just said “Hold my shoulder.” Suddenly, the two came upon a deep gorge. Creating a platform for the two to stand on, Ling summoned all of his concentration and began to lower the pair. Lon perched himself in a tree near the gorge, before suddenly jumping after them and using an airball to control his descent. Kasei shot a jet of flame at him, igniting the air Lon was using to hover. The airbender plummeted into the gorge. Ling said “Not exactly what I had in mind, but it works.” He then brought the platform back up to the edge of the cliff, got off and looked over the edge into the ravine. Staring down, he saw a river flowing down the middle, but no sign of Lon. Kasei was taking some heavy breathes while leaning against a nearby tree. Just when Ling thought it was certain that Lon was dead, a hand burst out of the river, grabbed a nearby rock and pulled Lon, bruised and battered, with one arm hanging limp next to him,out of the river. Lon looked vaguely in the direction of where he had fallen, before beginning to limp down the river. Ling told Kasei “We need to move. We want to reach town before he does.” Helping her recover her breath, the two began to walk in the direction of the town, which they could now see over the hills.

The town was large, but not quite large enough to be considered a city. Twenty foot high walls ringed the entire area, with another set of similar walls surrounding the temple. Black flags with the white restorationist symbol, a traditional anvil, representing the time before technology, rose above every parapet and tower on the walls. The buildings were traditional Earth Kingdom style with Fire Nation flair showing up on the odd house or two. As Ling and Kasei approached the gate, a guard pointed his spear at them. The guard said “Halt, state your business here in Siaocun.”

Ling bowed to the guard and said respectfully “We are here to join the Frontier Garrison. Where do we sign up?”

The guard lowered his spear and said “Go up to the temple and speak to Liutenant Keling. She’ll decide wether she wants you or not. I’d not get your hopes up though, we arent’t taking anymore non-benders.”

Kaseri grabbed Ling’s hand and stormed past the guard, huffing and saying “Good thing we are benders then.”

Once they were inside the town Kasei let go of Ling. He asked her “What was that about? Did I miss something the guard said?’

Kasei sighed and shook her head. She was silent for a moment before looking straight ahead and saying back “My aunt was a non-bender. In a whole family of Fire and Earthbender she was the only one with no form of talent. She took it with a weird sort of pride, but no one thought anything of it. Then one day she murdered my grandfather and my uncle for being benders before my father arrived to check on my mom. They had just started dating and he was a little over protective. He restrained her after he found her mutilating the corpses. No one had known what had happened until he broke the news to them. Ever since then non-bender supremacy like that has been a sore point in my family, and frankly, it makes me sick.”

Ling throught she was reading to much into it but didn’t comment. The two arrived at the temple and were brought to the Liutenant. She was a shorter woman, standing about 5′5 with thick brown hair that went to her shoulders. Her eyes were a startling blue that gave her water tribe heritage away. Looking the two up and down, she said “Well what do we have here?”

Ling stepped forward and said “Ma’am, we are here to join your garrison. This is Kasei. Her faily fostered me when I was younger and I-”

The Liutenant cut him off and said “Spare me the specifics. I get the same sob story five times a month. Why are you really here.”

Ling swallowed and said “We decided to spare Kasei’s family some of the burden of living and ran away so they would have more food to eat. We aren’t really qualified to do anything but farm and bend-”

The Liutenant suddenly turned to them and asked “You two are benders?”

Ling akwardly looked around and said “Umm, yes, I’m an earthbender, although kind of untrained, and Kasei is a firebender.”

The Liutenant said “It’s your lucky day then meathead. I’ve got a small opening for two in the Eaglelizard squad. The guards will escort you to your dormitories and tommorrow we will judge your mind and bending abilities to see were you’ll start in the chain of command. There are three rules while you are under my command, Don’t steal, Don’t destroy, and Don’t ever go into the Temple’s central chamber. That’s it. Now get out of my sight.”

The pair were lead down the hall to a dormitory. They walked in to discover 4 beds, though only one was occupied. Ling and Kasei each picked a bed and were about to start talking to each other when a taller boy walked in. He had longer black hair and dull brown eyes. His jawline was rugged and he had the beginnings of a beard on his face. He looked at them and said “Hey. My names Yusaka. I’m your dorm mate I guess.”

Ling stood up and bowed in a traditional greeting. “Hey, I’m Ling and this is-”

KAsei had run up to get close to Yu the moment he had walked in. She said “Hi, my names Kasei. So your a soldier huh, what kind of weapons due you use or are you a bender. I’m just wondering because-”

Yu had shushed her before saying “I’m still on duty right now, but I would happy to talk later.” and with that he marched off presumably back to his post.

Ling collapsed onto the bed, exhausted from the journey. He told Kasei “Nice googoo eyes Hotstuff. What were you trying to do their, bloodbend him into loving you?”

Kasei snorted and said “What would you know about being in love? You haven’t lived anywhere for more than a year since you were five.” Her retort fell on deaf ears though, as Ling was already snoring. Kasei rolled over and fell asleep as well.
