Your artworks have a softness to them, the most intimate moment are quiet and filled with warmth. You have a way of conveying emotions through body language, down to the smallest of fingers. When pain is shown, it is burning, rough and powerful. You are my biggest inspiration, I always am eager to discover and rediscover your artworks, be it sketch or fully rendered art.

Oh my gosh, thank you!!! For context, last night I completed the Noise Update and absolutely refused to take down Pizzahead until I P-Ranked him— it took a little over an hour of nonstop attempts, and I only ended up making it to phase three two or three times, though I'm pleased to announce that I've P-Ranked all bosses as both Peppino and The Noise!

I thought I'd doodle a quick something to go along with the superb P-Rank screen you drew! While I've still yet to conceptualize Star Tower's P-Rank screen (I have a general gist of how it's going to look and I've only drawn complete art for the D-Rank screen), I'm absolutely going to reference facets of your own if I may, especially the star spotlight; that's probably my favorite detail!!! ⭐👾✨

Thank you everyone for your patience! You can find a playlist of the accepted submissions here. In total, there are 1082. (Some of them are missing from the playlist but I don't know. which ones 😭 If you can't find one of your submissions please let me know, & otherwise I'll try to catch the missing ones when I'm adding videos to polls.)

Couple notes:

The video linked by the submitter for the Prelude theme from Final Fantasy is from an orchestral performance, not the games, so I'm using a different video for it. I just went for the one from the Final Fantasy soundtrack, but if the submitter would prefer a different instance of the theme, please let me know!

Break: Primrose, the Dancer from Octopath Traveler is a piano arrangement that doesn't seem to appear in-game, so it wasn't accepted (but Primrose, the Dancer was also submitted and was accepted).

The rest of the submissions I didn't accept were all pre-existing tracks or covers/remixes of them: Termination Shock from Just Shapes & Beats, Isolated from Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines, Get It Together from Little Big Planet, Nuclear from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, Focus from Super Hexagon, Sans Toi from Helix Waltz, Moon River (∞ Climax Mix) from Bayonetta 2, and Title3, Title1/Flip-Flap, & THUNDERDOME (Sector11) from Space Station 13.

There were a couple more that I wasn't going to accept, specifically video game tracks remixed in other games (as in, from unrelated series), but then I remembered Most of the submitted tracks from Super Smash Bros and kind of threw my hands up. So I'm bending my rules to allow those for consistency's sake. To be honest, if I ever do a season 2 of this, I'd probably just do away with the 'no pre-existing tracks' rule entirely but that would obviously be a while from now so. Focusing on getting through season 1 for now!

#burcon #cockles #thoughts #at the start of the panel and through a few particular interactions he seemed very standoffish #he was giving a little bitter and hurt and perhaps even resentful - maybe he only learned of misha's gf #at this con too! maybe it was news to him. on top of not seeing misha for months i can understand #if he was feeling a bit neglected and out of the loop. there's also the matter of misha's gf not being #in a poly thing with jensen and dee like vicki was ie. what she has with misha is seperate so i'm sure #that's another difficult thing to deal with knowing their time together is strictly separate #i've no doubt he wants misha to have a partner and be happy but there's an adjustment period #letting new people into your life and whoever misha's partner is now or in the future is going to #affect jensen on a personal level and moreover his relationship with misha. it's all very intriguing #and while i like what little i've seen and heard about this woman for misha i just think no matter who #she is it's going to take a toll on jensen's relationship w misha. i thought it was plain to see on jensen's face #during their panel: numerous moments where he was giving a poker face that wasn't covering a laugh #but instead like he was trying to smooth out his bitterness. or so my eyes and brain and heart tell me. #just various moments where things looked uncomfortable and jensen making off-colour jokes that didn't land #and which furthermore were barbed and snarky - not in their usual banter way but like he was lashing out #and using the excuse of chaotic panel convo to explain away his comedic pitfalls. but again maybe i'm #looking to much into it? idk. there are some lovely moments! fun and caring moments - but they #mainly came from misha's direction ngl. it seemed like misha was trying hard to keep the peace #while jensen was just running his mouth on comments and jokes that kept not landing - for me #everyone on my dash is loving their dynamic this panel - and i want to feel that love! it is possible that #learning misha has a gf has skewed my perception a little like i'm putting context onto moments #i otherwise wouldn't. but i also think i would've laughed and generally felt better watching their panel #if that was the case. idk. whatever the reason i do think something was OFF between them on stage #and it was coming from jensen from the start. misha picked up on it partway though but things felt #a little strained throughout. like jensen wasn't looking at misha as much as usual or reaching out for him #misha tried to salvage and not react to things. but both their answers to the last Q were passive aggressive af #and when they left the stage together they weren't close or touching or chatting like they usually are...

I think the biggest thing about Sunless Skies that gives it a different feel than Fallen London (other than the obvious gameplay differences) is the position of your player in the universe. In Flondon, your character is important and singular. The storyline is oriented around mastery and influence: starting from the bottom and climbing to the top, gaining recognition and reach as you unravel the world's secrets. While social play is encouraged, there are few in-game characters comparable to the PC, and in many plotlines the idea of being the only or the first one to accomplish a certain thing is specifically emphasized. The story is about what path you take to Make Your Name.

In Sskies, that goal is not absent, but there's a sense of...fleetingness, that never quite leaves you. There are many others like you. You see their entries in the cache logs, they are mentioned in the ports and pubs, you find their frozen bodies littering the open void like stones. It is the very first thing you know when you start: you are a Captain filling the shoes of a predecessor, and in all likelihood simply keeping them warm for the next to come after you, and the next. Your time is limited. Your significance to the wild, vast, ancient skies is negligible. The drive in the story comes from this: Your space in this universe is small and hard fought. Make it count.

#fallen london #sunless skies #i would say I like the sskies version better but honestly I think they both work great for their own applications #both in setting and for the way the games are played #I've seen the flondon fame gathering thing criticized occasionally but honestly I've always read it as like #a tongue in cheek parody on rich Victorian ego #as well as being inherently flexible，because of how players tend to treat the stories #for some it will be about doing Everything，but for most it's about getting a wide choice of what to focus on and how to specialize #in a character development sense #and also the story really is about How you get there and who you are while doing so #what with the quirks and everything #that's a mechanic that's notably absent from sskies #probably because your character is meant to be less permanent and less noticeable as an individual #most of the in-game character defining you do relates to building out their past with facets #because their present and future are so tentative and so embedded in the bigger picture #I really really like it. it's almost like the world is more the character #but ALSO the feel of like. the game does not treat loss lightly. there are Implications and narrative even for the loss of unnamed crew #it all also plays in so so nicely to the switch from flondon's tightly controlled sheltered chaos #(enclosed in a cave，tightly governed by the Bazaar，the sense of a new world building itself on top of older ones) #vs the Reach being so open and fraught and wild and legitimately teetering on the brink in every way #the way the characters are treated fits so so well into the political landscapes too #like. sskies is wartime. #the messaging that you the individual is fleeting and disposable and that it's what you donate your effort to that matters is Constant #so it works really really well there #oh now I want to go on again about how well the flondon way works in a meta sense for gameplay and community building #because it's emphasizing individuality while also paired so heavily with social actions and - #ouuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu #hey gang have i mentioned.
