In my opinion the most important part of the 1941 car scene where Aziraphale offers a favor in return to Crowley for saving him and the books from the nazis, and Aziraphale turning down a ride from Crowley in 1967 after he gives him the holy water, is that both of them are doing something for the other one outside of the arrangement. They’re both saying, I don’t want anything in return, this isn’t part of the agreement, this is just for you. And I think it’s really romantic actually.
