BEN FOLDS FIVE

My very favourite 3 piece piano rock band. These 3 guys rock really hard when they want too, Ben swearing at the top of his lungs while slamming his piano as Darren and Robert slay on drums and bass. Yeah it's just piano, drums and bass. (As well as their 3 part harmonies). They can also turn on a time and make your emotions fall down as you hear the somber stories of Ben's life. It's such a unique and intriguing style that has not been replicated since.

There are so many little things that they did that I could talk about for hours, but I will move on to the recommendations.

First off, their debut and self titled album in 1995. A really strong album with so many big hits that slay so very hard. This album doesnt feature as many somber songs and goes heavy the majority of the time. The bass sounds amazing and the harmonies are beautiful. Definitely listen to this one.

Their second and their most popular album, Whatever and Ever, Amen, released in 1997 is much more evenly spread with heavy rockers and somber songs. If you somewhat recognize this band you probably have heard their big single from this album, Brick. But this album is a great listen all the way through.

(Also the remastered release of this album features their covers of Video Killed The Radio Star by The Buggles and their jazzy rendition of She Dont Use Jelly by the Flaming Lips)

Please check out these albums you wont regret it. Then you can move to The Unauthorized Biography of Reinhold Messner and their reunion album in 2012, The Sound of The Life of The Mind. (Also Naked Baby Photos but that's like only have of a new album)

i think what really sells me on brocedes is the fact that they still, to this day, live in the same building. isn't that crazy??? your ex best friend with whom you had a very public falling out with still lives in the same building as you. no one told them to stay there, they chose to do that!!! like nico, i understand. he's got a wife and kids. it'd probably be too much work to uproot them and move somewhere new. but lewis? every time i blink that man is at a new fashion show or fuckin hanging out with shakira. he does not have to live there!!! he does not have to live two floors away from his ex childhood best friend!! and like i know for a fact that there are other luxury condos or apartment or whatever in monaco!! he does not have to do this!!!

we had more level-headed protectors near the beginning but This One Fella's anger just grows and grows with every betrayal. it is also (primarily) a prosecutor though and another problem with it, is it turns it's anger onto us as well during these times. i, myself, do not remember the specifics of what it says to our abuser, but our abuser describes her as having no limits and suddenly cutting deep. i do know that whatever she says can be very personal, and she is very mean-spirited. this is mostly the behavior we're unproud of - not just lashing out in anger, but throwing personal specific insults or using sensitive personal information against abuser. it's justified i guess, but still doesnt fully feel right. it feels relieving, but it's still Bad Coping

now that im typing this... maybe our hosts just need to become more comfortable sitting in anger in general. i feel like im describing a feeling of, all of my anger is unjustified and i should just Not Be Angry, and maybe thats just not fair to us? i dont know. it still doesnt feel right to use personal attacks, even if it feels good

when tropheesy start getting close cheesy starts getting worried that trophy doesnt eat enough so whenever they eat in the same room cheesy will try to feed trophy whatever he's eating. this has mixed results

#like trophy will have one of his fucking. milkshakes or whatever and that's all he's eating for the whole day #and cheesy gets worried and pokes him with the pb&j he's eating until trophy either takes a bite or snaps at him #they do get into a fight about this eventually btw #cheesy's like ''i just dont think youre eating enough :(" and then trophy calls him fat and then they dont speak to each other for a week #until trophy finds him and apologizes on his knees. it's all very romantic and kind of pathetic on trophy's part #then cheesy gets right back to poking trophy with pb&js and nothing ever changes. amen #k talks
