People have got to stop being weird about nonbinary/agender characters like, for real. There is no "actual gender" to figure out. If they go by neutral pronouns, and everyone around them uses neutral pronouns, then maybe, that is in fact their gender. They're not 'actually a girl' or 'actually a boy'.

So like, it super bugs me every time I see ppl going on about figuring out Opera's 'actual gender' or what they 'really are'. As if they aren't a whole ass enby. That IS their gender, plain and simple.

And man, if that's how u act about fictional characters, I'd hate to see how you treat real human beings that are some form of nonbinary/agender.

ALSO, we straight up have a whole sukima that basically spells out Opera's approach to gender which is ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ 'don't care'. Iruma literally asks and the final conclusion is, Opera does not give a shit.

Which is, tbh how I approach gender online. Yeah I do have pronouns listed in my bio but honestly I do not care that much you use. God knows I've been he/him'd a lot online. As long as it's not malicious I don't care(I got more important things to concern myself with).

Which, seems to be Opera's approach to it. They don't care. It's whatever.

Opera absolutely has some flavour of gender fuckery going on, be it nonbinary, agender, genderqueer or whatever, There is no 'real gender' to figure out.

I was gonna ask for number 3 for iruma, *briefly, he wonders when this turned into a cinderella story* but iruma was a cinderella story right from the start, lol, so!

How about number 18? I can see it fit very well for when one of Irumas friends learn about his parents, but feel free to take it any way you want!

As the saying goes, you learn something new every day. Today he learned that, apparently, homicide was an act of love.

Sat on the floor of the Magitools battler, Alice worried, shredding paper with his claws so he didn't shred his own hands. Iruma hadn't used his wings when they'd battled the kraken, instead getting into position with a surge of water. That wasn't too strange - he didn't know much about archery - maybe flight wasn't stable enough? But - it was the silliest thing. Iruma had tripped in the sand. Most demons would instinctively flare their wings to stop themselves from falling. Iruma hadn't.

"Azz-azz?" Alice jolted, whipping around to face the door. Clara padded in, looking concerned. "Whats wrong?" Alice shouldn't. If he was right, then it was a massive invasion of privacy to be speculating like this. But, he just couldn't let it go.

"Have you ever seen Iruma's wings?" Clara laughed, sitting down beside him.

"Of course -" she paused, brow furrowing. "I - have I seen Iruma-chi's wings?" her face twisted, hands clutching at her dress. Alice watched as she squirmed, lip bitten and fighting with herself. "Iruma-chi's really close with his grandpa, but never talks about his parents." The words tumbled out of her, almost overlapping. Alice wished she'd never said them.

"No - not their own son - they couldn't have -" But Iruma was so small when he'd started at Babilus - all hollow faced and bird boned. It could have just been how he looked, but he'd filled out quickly, pale skin warming, his hair regaining a luster Alice hadn't known it was missing. Iruma, who hated fighting but who's skin was crisscrossed with scars.

The horror faded rapidly, replaced by a burning, aching rage. He saw his anger mirrored on Clara, her face contorted into a snarl he'd never seen her wear before. He breathed carefully, fighting to keep himself from slipping into his wicked phase on school grounds.

"Azz? Clara?" Iruma's soft voice doused his anger, leaving a clawing sadness in its wake. "Are you guys ok?" Alice couldn't help himself - he threw himself at his friend, wrapping his arms around him like he could shield him from the world. Clara clearly had the same idea, wrapped around his back like an octopus, hands fisted in his uniform jacket.

"If anyone hurts you, I'll kill them." Alice muttered, face pressed into his hair.

"I'll make them wish they were dead!" Clara near yelled into Iruma's shoulder, almost looking like she was trying to merge herself into him in her distress.

Iruma flushed brilliantly, so bright they could feel the warmth radiate from his face. "I don't - what's going on?"

Hey, idk if you've seen Welcome to Demon School, Iruma-kun! (if you haven't I highly recommend, it's got similar vibes as khr) but if you have, I've got a crack crossover between it & khr: so in this Iruma & Tsuna are cousins on their mom's sides. Iruma's parents occasionally show up to try and mooch cash off Tsuna's mom while leaving Iruma w/ Tsuna & a list of things they want him to do (Which tsuna tries to help him with bc he's mr #1 unable to refuse a request) 1/?

So despite the weird and potentially dangerous situations Iruma's parents put them in, Tsuna still likes hanging out with Iruma if only because he never teases him or says he's stupid like a lot of kids at school. Unfortunately, hibari & his gang ultimately chase Iruma's parents out of town permanently so he never sees him again after that. 2/? Flash forward to post-canon when Tsuna goes to visit the Vongola's main base in Italy, he's surprised to see Iruma's parents captured by security while they were trying to make it out with some priceless vase or something. He finds out from them (eventually) that they SOLD THEIR CHILD TO DEMONS and Tsuna is Very Concerned about this. So Tsuna (using whatever spell they had for demon summoning & vongola tech) makes a portal to the demon realm to try & save his cousin! 3/3

Uh- um. Wow Tsuna suddenly has newfound appreciation for his own bio parents for at least not selling him off to the highest bidder-

Wait, his dad did. To Nono for more influence and power in the mafia. Ahahaha...

I think I FINALLY caught something I had been missing. I was talking to my grandma today about language>spelling>alphabets>syllabic alphabets>Japanese, and I was just thinking about Welcome to Demon School, and...

AND! There is a Greek god whose domain is VERY convenient, and happens to be THE SON OF THE GODDESS OF LOVE AND BEAUTY.

He's not Alice, he's Eros! E-ro-su. A god who is JUST A LITTLE BIT FAMOUS FOR HIS ARROWS. The Romans called him Cupid.
