People… its time. I finally have a floor loom. It has 4 shafts and 6 treadles and Ive warped it up for the first time today. Look at it!! Im so exited c:

Still not feeling great due to it being Catching Everything Under the Sun season but I managed to finish off a couple more scarves this last week!

My daughter picked the yarn for this and it's just a plain weave:

And this was my first attempt at houndstooth. Not quite happy with it but that's due to the yarn weight differences more than anything:

It's actually a deep purple with lil metallic bits but I couldn't get a good picture of the yarn.

Aaaand last but not least, one for my mom using the rest of the yarn for the previous commissions. It's a clasped weave (I still have to do a fringe for the ends):

never stops baffling me how fast the actual weaving part is. warping is a pain in the ass, but I started weaving this two days ago, have done maybe 3ish interrupted hours a day since then, at most, and it's already nearly a meter (of ~1.75m) done.

BONE MASK. TOOK ME FOREVER. #horse skulls have a WEIRD nose and it took me so long to figure out how to a) do it and b) do it in a stylized way that worked with mlp #my version of it at least #i did some fun stuff with like texturing too. wanted to it to feel like there were threads and a weave in the air. which i kinda did. #very abstractly #ALSO edited my stripey brush so i think ill be using that more #ok enough tags time to turn off my brain

Drying ☀️

So notes: the first was on a 15 dent reed and took forever to keep unsticking itself, the second is on a 10 dent reed, and was golden, but the stripes are less defined, which could be a blessing or a curse. The third was also on a 10, but I doubled the yarn through each dent. Fourth is back to a 15 but with a 4ply wool as the weft and different shade of shhhh. It’s reminding me of the Barratt’s Fruit Salad sweet. 🍬
