Every year I hope they add new & returning titles to WWE games. WWE 2K22 seen the return of the World Lightweight title & debut (?) of the big green WWE title. So here's some titles I'd hope or want to see.
WWE Women's Championship (early 1990s)
Tumblr media
Seriously, why isn't this title in the games?
WCW Women's Championship
Tumblr media
Evolve Championship
Tumblr media
WWE owns it so why not use it? Incorporate it in the games with BCW.
Evolve Tag Team Championship
Tumblr media
World Heavyweight Championship (Vegas)
Tumblr media
Never made it to tv but the Rock's ugly belt did. I kind of like this WWE take on Big Gold
NXT Women's Championship (2022)
Tumblr media
I'd be surprised if these aren't in.
NXT Championship (2022)
Tumblr media
AWA World Heavyweight Championship

WRESTLING ALL STARS: Heroes and Villains : JUNE 1996
A LOOK AT THE LADIES! Female Managers are the New Trend in the Sport.
By George Napolitano
[Woman is rumored to be returning to WCW as we go to press. That would put her right smack in the way of Miss Elizabeth.
Will Miss Elizabeth’s surprise return establish her as the First lady of Professional Wrestling?]
Have you noticed how many female managers there are these days? It’s absolutely mind boggling. What was once a profession dominated by men has now been overrun by women!
Heading the list in Sensuous Sherri. Sherri has been managing much longer than her counterparts, and in her illustrious career Sherri has guided quite a few men to super-stardom! Sherri began her managerial career in the AWA, and men under her influence have won titles in the AWA, WWF and WCW. Sherri was the first person to notice that Shawn Michaels had what it takes to be a champion. And even though her “Boy Toy” didn’t win a title while under her guidance, Michaels credits Sherri with instilling in him the moves, style and attitude that have catapulted him to the top.
Goldust, the bizarre character who is the new WWFIntercontinental champion, didn’t get to be the champion on his “gay” mannerisms and good looks. The Director, Marlene, had quite a bit to do with directing the bizarre Goldust to the #1 position. It’s believed that Marlene orchestrated Goldust’s entire look and persona, even going as far as directing Goldust’s intimidating “Crush” on Razor Ramon. Now that Goldust has the IC title his Director must be given due for orchestrating the entire thing.
[Sunny’s gym attire drives males nuts. Whenever she keeps the opponents from concentrating, she helps the Body Donnas: Skip & Zip]
The person emulated by many of the new breed of women managers is the sexy, alluring, beauty known as Woman. Woman has been around for quite a few years. Before maturing, she was known as the Fallen Angel. She was brought into the sport in the mid eighties by Kevin Sullivan. Later, she became known simply as Woman, and she was instrumental in taking Doom to the top. After her success with Doom, Woman gained notoriety as Ric Flair’s manager, and this arrangement lasted a couple of years. After a short time in retirement, Woman returned to the scene and she immediately helped the Sandman win the ECW heavyweight title. Although she is still with the Sandman, there is a strong possibility that Woman could soon be Macho Man’s new lady.
[Bad Girl: Miss Alexandra is a real hell-cat who is part of Damian Kane’s Bad Crew.]
No one can deny that Sunny of the Body Donnas is the driving force behind her team’s success. Although the Body Donnas have yet to win a title, Sunny has created quite a bit of excitement in the WWF. RIght now Sunny wants to help her team to the WWF tag team title, but if Skip and Zip are unsuccessful in their title quest, look for Sunny to dump them and hook up with someone who will produce a championship.
Kimberly, the Diamond Doll, began her career as Diamond Dallas Page’s main squeeze but after a falling out with DDP, Kimberly wound up in the corner of his arch-rival, Johnny B.Badd. If Page ever changes his evil ways, KImberly could be back in his corner.
[Freaky Francine loves leather, as does the tag team she manages, the Pit Bulls.]
Beulah and Francine from ECW are two of the new breed of women managers. Both are young, beautiful and daring. Each has a tag-team title to their credit. Beulah with Raven and Richards and Francine with the Pit Bulls. Both of these ladies would think nothing of jumping in the ring and lending their men a helping hand. Using this approach, however, both Francines and Beulah have suffered broken bones and bruises, but this hasn’t stopped them in the least from helping their men.
[The lovely Miss Patricia has taken the Warlord and Rick Martel to championships. Can she do the same for The Border Patrol.]
The “Brooklyn Babe” Miss Patricia is another relative newcomer to the managerial ranks. Although PAtricia hasn’t been around that long, she still has two championships to her credit. The Babe was in the corner when the Warlord won the USA heavyweight title, and she was also in Ric Martel’s corner when he won the USA belt. Presently, Miss Patricia is doing her thing in the USWA where she is managing the Border Patrol.
[Sherri was the first person to notice that Shawn Michaels had what it takes to be a champion.]
Bad Girl: Miss Alexandra is part of Damian Kane’s Bad Crew. She’s a real hell-cat who’s been known to do anything imaginable to assume that her Crew comes out on top. With Bad Crew now a part of ECW you can bet that it won’t be long before Miss Alexandra gets the recognition that she craves.
Destiny is another in the long line of beautiful and daring female managers. Destiny has been guiding the career of Damien Storm in the NWA and she is also Jerry Lawler’s female attendant whenever he wrestles in New Jersey for the NWA.
Last, but certainly not least, is the latest addition to the managerial ranks, the lovely Elizabeth. On January 24, after more than five years away from the wrestling scene, Elizabeth returned to the sport at the Clash Of the Champions in Las Vegas, Nevada. Elizabeth was at ringside to manage her former team “The Mega-Powers”: Hulk Hogan and “Macho Man” Randy Savage in their battle against Ric Flair and the Giant.
[Sister Sherri (left) had her wedding to Colonel Park disrupted by the colonel’s “cupcake-on-the-side”: Madusa!]
In the early eighties Elizabeth was all the rage! She was instrumental in helping “Macho Man” Randy Savage become the star that he is today. The two eventually married in center ring at Madison Square Garden during a Summer Slam card, but their story book romance eventually crumbled. Afterwards, Liz left the sport, while Randy continued on to even greater heights.
Elizabeth’s appearance at the Clash caught the wrestling world completely off guard. Although it had been rumored for months that Elizabeth was going to return, no one really believed that it would ever come to pass. Now that Elizabethe has climbed back into the ring, everyone is wondering if that was only a one-time thing or a sign of things to come.
From this it is obvious that the female managers are giving their male counterparts a run for the money. With the success that these female managers have enjoyed we should be seeing even more join the ranks in the coming months.

Tumblr media
VENGEANCE IS HERE. This is a very big night for you. It’s something you’ve been waiting for. Just to get your hands on Torrie and finish what she started.
Tumblr media
The camera pans up on Doctor Smiley, who’s going through some of his notes.
“I know this night is very important to you. I’m glad you came. Debra gave me a call, she’s concerned you’ve been…..on a downward spiral.”
Once the camera switches towards you, the crowd cheers.
You’re not sure what he means. You’ve never felt better. “Well, I feel fine. There’s nothing wrong, from what I know of.”
Doctor Smiley simply nods, then writes something down. It’s silent for a moment, but he looks up towards you. “Plaid?”
“What about it?”
“New, isn’t it?” He questions. “If my memory serves correctly, that seems a little off from your normal attire.” It’s not much, but the jacket you’re wearing is telling him a lot. “Well, to be more modern, it’s just not your style.”
It makes a small smile grow on your face, the thought of Raven clouding your mind. You cross your legs. “A little recommendation from a friend, that’s all. Don’t you think I look nice?”
You’re reticent. He should’ve known. He also pencils this down, not answering your other question. “Right. I’m sure. Speaking of friends…how do you feel about Torrie Wilson? It’s to my understanding you two aren’t seeing eye to eye.”
What a wonderful question.
“When I think about Torrie, all I have are negative feelings.” You say. “I feeel…like I want to give her comeuppance.”
“…Would you say you want vengeance?”
“Yeah.” You nod. “That’s exactly what I’m saying.”
Tumblr media
BACKSTAGE // 6:56 PM
Earlier that night, you and Torrie were going back and forth in the training center, rehearsing the match for the night. You two had a decent amount of spots, not too over the top. All you two wanted to do was to showcase your strength and hers.
Outside of a kayfabe standpoint, having a match with her made you thrilled. It reminded you of the ones you had in WCW from time to time.
It’s shaping up to be a good night. Even the other matches had you excited.
SCOTTY 2 HOTTY & ALBERT VS. CHRISTIAN AND TEST
EDGE VS. WILLIAM REGAL (INTERCONTINENTAL CHAMPIONSHIP)
[NAME] VS. TORRIE WILSON
JEFF HARDY VS. MATT HARDY
DUDLEY BOYZ VS. KANE AND BIG SHOW (TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS)
THE UNDERTAKER VS. ROB VAN DAM (HARDCORE CHAMPIONSHIP)
TRISH STRATUS VS. JACQUELINE (WOMEN’S CHAMPIONSHIP)
CHRIS JERICHO VS. THE ROCK VS. STONE COLD STEVE AUSTIN VS. KURT ANGLE
You plan to interfere with Matt and Jeff’s match after your own. Whether it be attacking Lita or purposely messing both men up, you’re there to cause trouble.
Truth be told, you’re going to try and fuck with everyone tonight and if anyone tries to fuck with your match, they’ve got a world full of pain coming back, tenfold.
But your match…..you’d finally show the WWF universe how happy you were. How happy that Raven finally took you under his wing, he made you his and you felt like you were apart of him.
You’ll tell the world as much as soon as you get into that ring.
Before that, Lita needed to be dealt with. You need to show her who she’s dealing with.
You want to get inside her head and most importantly, you want to worm your way inside the mind of Matt and Jeff. Those Hardy Boyz. Everyone loves them. You’d hear everyone scream for them as loud as they could whenever they’d show up.
Everyone loves Team Extreme!
You don’t.
You hate Team Extreme.
It’s clear to you that you have one brother wrapped around your finger already. The other wasn’t too easy to sway.
So before you know it, you find yourself rummaging through her suitcase like a madman. Cargo pants, crop tops…something that’ll make you look like Lita. Would fishnets top it all off?
For a moment, you considered buying a red wig so you could even mock her flaming hair. Is there enough time?
…Yes, yes there is. There’s always enough time. You’ll find a way to make it work after your match.
While you originally considered coming out to Edge’s match, you knew that wound was still fresh and you were still thinking of plans for him. It wouldn’t be fun if you did interference every match, honestly. You wanted to mix things up.
Actually, wait. It would make it even more interesting if it was fresh, wouldn’t it? Bah, you’ll think it over on the ride to the nearest costume or beauty store.
Either way, you needed to go and go quick, especially if you want your little scheme to work.
Wait! Maybe you’ll go out first. That way, no one would expect you coming out dressed as Lita later.
Yeah, that’s exactly what you’ll do! You already had something nice on, so why not just show up in all your glory? You may even help Edge win.
You just hope he’d be grateful, else, you’d have to teach him a few new things. You figure it’s good enough to make a guest appearance with the clothes you have on.
“Oooh, hey, [Name]!” Stacy’s voice comes from the door. She stands there for a moment before walking over to you with a smile. She looks nice tonight. “I’m glad you’re here. I just wanted to wish you luck tonight.”
You still feel pretty suspicious, but she’s not going out of her way to attack you or anything.
“You know, I’ve been looking for you!” She says, taking a seat on the small bench. She then focuses on zipping up one of her shoes. “Me and you have no problems! I just want you to rip her head off, okay?”
It’s nice of her to come and give you some sort of pep talk, despite how violent it sounded.
“Right. Yeah, I’ll do that.” You say, rubbing your temples.
“By the way, you look really tired, [Name]. Are you okay?” She asks. “Well, actually, how have you been? I haven’t been able to catch you backstage.”
It’s true, she hasn’t. Quite frankly you didn’t trust her at first, but she made her status clear the last time you saw her.
“I’ve been okay. I feel like myself.” It was a little true. Stacy probably doesn’t know about the Raven and Jeff situation, so you’re happy Lita kept her mouth shut, even if she didn’t know the whole thing in its entirety.
You take that back. You’re pretty sure Jeff told her…
“Alright…” Stacy gives you a smile and thankfully doesn’t press further. “When’s the next time we’re going shopping?”
“I dunno,” You shrug. “The next time I can actually see the Dutchess backstage?”
“Oh, you!” She bats her hand at you, then stands up from her spot. “I think we’re both really busy. I’m sure we’ll get around to it. There are so many things I see that remind me of you, I’m itching to dress you up!”
Of course. Her and Torrie always had a habit of putting you through rings of hell, dressing you up in what they think would fit you….
Stacy gives you a wink and you roll your eyes. She lightly hits your shoulder. “Don’t be like that. Hey, I’ll talk to you later, okay? I’m sure Bubba and D’von are looking for me. I just wanted to stop by.”
“I don’t mean to hold you back. I’ll see you later then.”
“You’re fine!” She reassured. With that bright smile of hers, she’s just about to leave the room before you call out to her.
“Wait! Do you happen to have a spare robe..?”
Tumblr media
BACKSTAGE // 7:04 PM
This may have been the worst decision in your life, and shit, you’ve made some pretty bad decisions before.
Stacy was more than happy to loan you one of her robes. You were too afraid to question why she carried it around in her suitcase. You guess she’s ready for anything, even an impromptu swimsuit contest or something.
She didn’t know what you were up to and you’d rather keep it that way.
Your next mission is to find Chris Jericho. You had already changed into your ‘gift’ and put on a robe right over it. You’re a little ashamed to be doing this, especially with the cameras now on you, but Hunter asked for you to get it done.
You’re sure it’ll be worth it in the long run. Everything will be okay, even if you feel like you’re going to scream. Thanks to the advice from some producers, you find Jericho refilling a cup of water.
Alright, time to get your game face on.
You take a deep breath and strut on over to him. “Hey there.” You hope you don’t sound too forced, you really hate talking to him.
“Ugh, it’s you again.” He doesn’t seem happy to see you. “The hell do you want this time?” If you didn’t know any better, you’d think he was about to toss that cup of water on you.
“Don’t worry. I’m not here to fight or anything..” This time, you force a smile. “I actually just wanted to talk to you alone.”
“What’s there to talk about? If you think I’m dropping out of the title match, you can kick rocks.”
You try not to let his words get to you. It takes everything in your power not to reply with a snarky remark.
“Well, for starters, I don’t want to fight with you anymore. I want to make amends.” He doesn’t seem swayed, so you do your best to turn up the charm. “You know….I’ve always really, really liked you. I just didn’t know what to say.”
He raises an eyebrow, but the smirk growing on his lips tell you that you’ve got him fooled. “Yeah?”
“Yeah.” You nod. “Why should we fight anymore? Tonight, if you show up to my hotel room, I’ll make up for what was lost.” Almost on cue, you show him what you’re wearing under the robe and close it quickly.
God, you’re cringing so bad inside. One day you’ll look back on this segment and cry.
You give him one last smile and walk away down the hall.
The plan is in action. You’re sure Hunter will be happy you’ve done your due diligence. You’ve gotta throw some of your clothes back on now to make it for Edge’s match!
You’re so sure that he’s waiting on you. You just know him so well.
Tumblr media
VENGEANCE // 7:15 PM
And you seem to be just in time. With the match just in its beginning, you nearly tripped on some cords as you made your way toward gorilla position.
They need to clean it up. What if you tripped and busted your head open? You wish you could submit a complaint somewhere. But then again, Mr. McMahon would probably pop a blood vessel trying to figure out who the hell did it.
The moment you step out onto stage, the crowd starts to cheer. This stage was huge. For a moment you stand up at the top, just watching the two lock up.
‘What’s [Name] doing out here?!’ JR asks.
‘Hey! Tell her to come over here!’ Jerry tries to get your attention to no avail.
JR can only shake his head. ‘I don’t think she wants to even be within 4 feet of you, King.’
The both of them really were going at it in this lockup, with Edge getting the best of Regal by shoving him into the corner. You want a closer look, so you come down the ramp.
It is only when the referee forces him off of Regal, was when you were noticed. He runs a hand through his hair, moving most of it from his face. He must’ve thought he was dreaming.
You open your arms. This was no dream. This was reality! He comes over to the ropes, staring down at you quizzically.
“I know you missed me!” You exclaim.
Edge is just about to respond but Regal comes over and smashes his forearm into his back. That was definitely your fault, but you shrug it off.
Regal was starting to take over, grabbing Edge by the hair and lifting him up. Yet again, they lock up, an aggressive show of strength from the both of them.
While they’re doing that, you skip on over to the side of the apron towards the announcer tables.
You can see Edge’s Intercontinental Championship sitting nearby, so you go ahead and grab it.
It’s a really pretty title. As are most of the WWF titles. Once you pick it up, you run your fingers along a continent, and the crowd looks at you curiously.
It’s not like you were gunning for it yet..though you wouldn’t mind if they put you in the running. Everyone seemed to like what you’re doing though.
‘You said she wouldn’t come within 4 feet of me, JR,’ King starts to say. ‘But I think you’re just jealous!’
‘She’s a nice young lady, I’ll give her that, but she’s got some sense.’ He responds.
‘If she’s got some sense, why’s she got her hands on the Intercontinental title?! Doesn’t she know it’s nearly impossible for a women to even hold it?’
‘I think you’re forgetting about someone…’
You’re too busy admiring the title to even pay attention to them and the match. Running a finger over one of the continents, it makes you notice how beautiful it was.
Then again, it seems to be a common theme with WWF titles. Whoever created the design needs some sort of raise. But not if it’s Mr. McMahon, of course.
You’re so focused on the title that you don’t even notice a baffled Edge making his way towards you.
“The hell are you doing?” He asks, lightly shaking your shoulder.
“I came to see you!” You say, a smile on your face. “Didn’t you miss me?!”
“..What?!“ You weren’t sure if he couldn’t hear you or couldn’t believe what you said. You figure it’s the former when he continues talking. “I don’t want you out here! Put the title down and go backsta—!”
Taking advantage of the situation, Regal had slid out of the ring and came over to shove Edge right into you. The both of you fall over, with Edge landing right on top of you.
It didn’t help you held the title in your hands. That fall completely knocked the wind out of you.
“That’s no way to treat a lady, now is it, you pillock?!” Regal taunts, grabbing Edge off of you and throwing him into the announcer table.
You groan in pain as you try making your way onto your knees. Now you’re angry! You finally get up to your feet and dust yourself off. You gently set the title belt onto the apron, before running over and jumping onto Regal’s back.
You can see the flashes of many cameras, but you’re too busy trying to claw his eyes out. You try to pry his hands away from his face, but he’s just not budging. You resort to try and choking him out to no avail.
‘[Name]’s jumping on the back of William Regal! What’s she doing?!’
‘Is she insane?! What’s wrong with her?!’
Edge watches this in awe. What the hell was wrong with you? He wants to pull you off and knock (figuratively, of course) some sense into you, but it seems like you’re helping him out in the long run.
You jump off of Regal’s back and allow Edge to come forward with a clothesline. That’ll teach him! They’ll probably be fighting on the outside for quite a bit.
Man, Edge knocking into you really hurt. You may have made it worse for yourself by jumping on Regal. You’re a bit sore and out of breath, leaning on the apron for leverage. It takes you a minute to recover, but when you do, you notice that Regal sends Edge flying into the ring post that’s behind you.
You quickly get the hell out of the way. That could’ve been worse…
“Watch where you’re going!!” You yell, trying to back away from the scene. And for good measure, you stick your tongue out at Regal.
Of course, he doesn’t notice, fiddling nearby the ring’s fabric skirt and shoving something into his trunks. What did he just get out of there?!
You don’t exactly want to stick your hand down there and find out…
That collision definitely left Edge out cold. Regal grabs him by the hair and throws him into the ring, a little too close by the ropes.
Once he tries to pin him, you grab his leg and set it on the rope. Thankfully, the referee didn’t see you put it there. Just in the nick of time too…
Regal gets off, glaring at you. You just smile in response. He could’ve won there..but no! You didn’t let that happen!
He tries to powerbomb Edge this time, just a little bit further from the ropes so there’s no accident like that again, and then pins him. Fortunately, Edge kicks out at two. This is really bad..
You’re not even sure if Edge can get up. The referee comes over and tries to check on him, so Regal turns away and fishes into his trunks for what he took earlier.
You can see it as clear as day! Those were brass knuckles. If he hits Edge with that, it’s night night for him! You don’t want that to happen, so you jump up onto the ring apron to catch Regal’s attention. You need to do it long enough so Edge can recover.
“Hey!” You yell. He’s a little bit of ways from you, so it’s hard to grab him…
He turns over to you curiously, then tries to ‘shoo’ you away. But then he just stops. Regal turns to look at you and crosses his arms. “Actually, I’m glad you’re up here, young lady, I’ve got a bone to pick with you!”
Now you’ve got him! You’re interested, too. What ever could it be?!
You don’t even get to ask ‘what is it?’ before he continues to speak. “You have quite the attitude problem! You don’t jump on a gentleman’s back! There are other ways to resolve your anger!”
It makes you remember that he too, was involved in Doctor Smiley’s session. Maybe you should heed his advice….?
Yeah, right! “The only way to resolve my anger is violence!” You say, jumping off of the apron. Regal waves his hand at you and turns around to be met with…A SPEAR!
Edge finally is able to get Regal down long enough to secure the win. The crowd cheers wildly as you grab his title and hold it up to him.
He takes it and you're outta there almost immediately, circling around the ring and heading up the stage ramp.
And yet again, Edge can only look at you in awe. You’re crazy, you have to be. But he can’t help but to admire you for coming to his aid.
While you blow a kiss from the ramp, he makes the motion to catch it. He’s a little starstruck.
Perhaps you haven’t burnt all your bridges after all.
Tumblr media
VENGEANCE // 7:34 PM
You don't even have time to feel tired tonight. With your match being right before Jeff & Matt's, you feel like you're going to be on your feet all night. Perhaps you'll get a break before the Undisputed Championship match..
You’ve already changed into your ring gear, so now you’re waiting for Raven. Normally, you’d feel calm when it comes to matches, but with him being there, it just made you all the more antsy.
“You’re shaking.”
Your head immediately turns to Raven, who had walked up to you with his hands in his pockets. It took everything in you not to run and jump on him. “I’m just a little nervous.” You reply, crossing your arms.
He doesn’t say anything at first. “You’ll be fine, babe. Don’t worry about it.” The smirk that starts to play on his face tells half a story.
You’re almost thrown for a loop when he uses a pet name. You’re sure he was just testing it out, but it feels like you have butterflies in your stomach.
“By the way, I’ve been thinking.” He continues. “You and I were in WCW, yet you’ve never spared me a glance. Why?”
You think about it for a minute. Creative in WCW never really let you stray too far from what you’re doing, despite it being a little messy. “I don’t know. The writers over there didn’t even know what they’re doing. Look at the bright side though, I’m here with you now!”
You outstretch your arms. He stares at you for a moment. You almost think he won’t hug you, yet he comes over and wraps his arms around you.
“…I want you to prove your loyalty to me.” He says.
You tilt your head. “How?” Anything he asked, you’re willing to do.
Raven detaches from you and sets his hands in your shoulders. “There’s certain people you must get rid of. They pose a threat to not only myself, but our….” He trails off. You get what he means.
You don’t want anyone to get in the way of your relationship with Raven. Not now, not ever.
“The first person is Jeff Hardy. Once a contender for the Hardcore title…..turned nuisance to the WWF. Even worse, a nuisance for us, [Name].”
You just nod your head with a smile. Whatever he says, goes. Was Jeff really the problem?
Before he can continue on, someone from production comes over to you two. “You’re on, [Name]. Get out there.” Now you can hear your muffled music echoing over the arena.
Both of you were a little startled, but put your game faces on and head through that curtain. The adrenaline is running through your veins all over again once you’re met with the crowd.
The bell rings three times and Lillian is in the ring, ready to announce. “Ladies and Gentleman, this is a match set for one fall. Making her way to the ring, accompanied by Raven, [Name]!!”
You two walk out to stand on stage. Before you continue to walk down the ramp, Raven holds out his hand. You look at him in bewilderment, but it turns into a smile as you entwine your fingers with his. You’re thrilled he even let you hold it.
‘That Jezebel’s holding Raven’s hand!’ JR exclaims. ‘She seems to be just about anywhere lately. What’s going on in that head of hers?!’
‘I told ya JR, that mental hospital will be opening as soon as we kind find those scattered loose screws of hers!’ King says. ‘And let’s put Raven in there too! Ha!’
The both of you make it to the ring. You opt to take the steps as Raven climbs onto the apron and opens the ropes for you.
You feel elated. It’s a small gesture, but it means a lot to you nonetheless. Once you get in, you walk over and motion for a mic to speak.
Raven shuffles over to sit in the corner in the meanwhile.
“…All I have to say is one thing. The day I’ve walked into the WWF, everyone wanted to know about me..but I feel like everyone liked the thought of me.” You pause for a minute, trying to gather your words. “No one saw through me like Raven did. I can feel his pain and he can feel mine.”
You throw your mic to the side (giving it a tiny kick so it can reach the edge). Torrie’s music starts to play and you walk over to Raven’s corner to sit right in between his legs.
He’s actually pretty warm. It’s also a pretty comfortable spot. You turn your head over to the front as Torrie begins to make her way to the ring.
“Making her way to the ring from, Torrie Wilson!”
You have to admit, what she’s wearing is kind of cute. The color pink really suits her. Of course, you’d never say that out loud. You’re just ready to wrestle her.
Raven nudges you slightly, and with a whispered “good luck”, he moves away and gets out of the ring to spectate.
You stand up from your spot. Things are finally starting to heat up. The crowd is a little bit anxious.
On one hand, they hope you don’t punish Torrie too much. Then on the other hand, they hope you can get your revenge. If they’re lucky enough, maybe they’ll get some clothing shed!
Not! You don’t want any wardrobe malfunctions or any ripping of clothes tonight. This is supposed to be a serious match.
The bell rung again and you two walk around in circles. You two weren’t friends right now. You were sworn enemies, nothing less, nothing more. Torrie put herself in this spot, so you were going to make sure she regret it.
It hurts you more than anything to have to fight an old friend, but in order to get your message through her thick skull, you didn’t have a choice.
You don’t want to disappoint Raven. In fact, you just wanted to impress him. Show him you could do this. That you live up to whatever hype there is.
When Torrie tackled you down almost effortlessly, that was when you knew your head needed to be in the game. There definitely was animosity behind her hits, but rest assured there will be animosity behind yours too.
…You’re gonna be honest. Torrie is as green as grass. She always has been. Nothing wrong with that, it just makes it a little harder to carry her through the match. She wasn’t alone though, Stacy (although you technically haven’t wrestled her directly) seemed pretty green too.
You can’t help but to laugh. One time, Lita referred to those two as ‘the blondies’, notoriously known for being quite new and not knowing what’s going on.
She trashed them so bad that night, then told you that you’re the only one that could really wrestle. It was sweet, but you felt kinda bad she wasn’t fond of Torrie and Stacy.
You roll over her and start hitting her back, getting your quick just desserts.
Getting off, you stare at her as she sets her hand on the ropes in an effort to recover. Torrie takes a good look at you, her eyes narrowing once she sees you laughing.
Before she could fully get up, you come over to grab a fistful of blonde hair before slamming her right back to the mat. You’re not quite done with her yet. This is only the first stage of pain you’ll put her through tonight!
You saw a wrestler do this move a very long time ago, but you can’t remember their name for some reason. You put one foot on each side of her head and step on her hair, then lift her arms up.
The referee starts to yell at you to “let go” and to “watch the hair”.
You eventually let up, Torrie writhing around on the mat in pain. You come over and lift her face up. “C’mon, Torrie!“ You scream, slapping her for good measure. “That all you got?! Get up!”
You decide to force her to stand up, grabbing her and lifting her from the ground. She’s able to shove her forearm into your stomach, causing you to keel over.
Torrie really did get up. She grabs your hair and slams you down to the mat. It’s her turn to be in charge and she’s going to try and lay down the law.
She squishes your face closer to the canvas and uses your hair to roughly scrub it across. “You’re horrible!” She screamed. “Do you see what I have to do to you!? This is your fault!”
Torrie finally lets go of you so you can breathe for a second. The referee is chewing her out for this move, so she starts to argue with him. You slowly recover off of the ground, and since you don’t think you have enough time to get up, you use your foot in order to kick her in the shin.
She crashes down immediately, holding onto her shin.
While she’s down, you turn your head towards the front, Raven’s watching intently. Once you start to fully stand up, you can see him duck down for some reason.
But it wasn’t his fault. He was completely blindsided by someone with multi-colored hair. This person knocks him to the ground and starts laying into him with punches.
Oh no. No, no, no…
This can’t be happening.
‘Jeff Hardy has just attacked Raven!’ JR exclaimed. ‘What is going on here?!’
You don’t even know what to do. You grip the ropes, just about to abandon the match, but before you know it, Torrie’s had taken advantage. She rolls you up and then….one, two, three. You kicked out far too late.
No fucking way.
Did that really just happen?! Torrie can’t believe that happened either. Before she starts to celebrate her victory, you immediately tackle her to the ground to try and choke her out.
The referee has to pull you off of her, but you couldn’t care less. You’ll handle her right after you try and break up the fight THAT WAS STILL HAPPENING AT THE OUTSIDE OF THE RING.
You slide out of the ring in and run over towards them, doing your best to pull off the assailant to no avail.
“STOP IT! Stop!” You scream. You’re doing your best to get in between them….to no avail. Raven’s able to get up off the floor and starts punching Jeff back. They’re squabbling and you’re panicking.
This isn’t supposed to happen. Why did Jeff do that?! He didn’t even give poor Raven a chance to fight! At least he’s getting his hits in now..
Some referees have to come from the back and attempt to pull the men away from each other.
The rowdy crowd is looking on, cheering at the sight. One of the referees have to tell you to back away so you don’t get hit, so you do.
Aaaand you’re bleeding.
Oops, you may be mistaken. You’re pretty sure one of them is bleeding, but you can’t tell who. With the referees crowding around them, it’s hard to discern who it was. All you can see is some blood smeared on your arm and hand.
You simply walk away and reach under the ring to yank out a kendo stick. Torrie’s still sputtering in the ring, and with most of the referee’s attention on settling the two men, you come back into the ring for a little bit extra.
You absolutely fucking hated how this finished! This was growing increasingly stressful, so you had to deploy the cure.
Violence!
For now, you toss the kendo stick to the side. You get down and pull Torrie’s arm right under your leg, getting into position for a Yes Lock. But it’s not any old submission.
You take the kendo stick and pull it under her neck. She flails under you, so you try and lighten the hold just a little bit so she wouldn’t be too hurt later. You try to be nice, sometimes.
There’s so much going on inside and outside of the ring, no one even knows where to focus.
One of the referee’s finally notice what you’re doing. “Hey! HEY!!!” He yells, coming back in. He forces you to release your hold on Torrie and she continues to cough, trying to gasp for more air.
….You definitely lied. You’re not excited for tonight at all.
You’re not in a good mood anymore.

Bones, Body, Soul.
(A Jeff Hardy Story. Ch.7)
WWF was great. In the six months Lemmy had been there, they had made so many friends and couldn’t be prouder of the success their boys had on the tag-team side of the roster. Most days they wandered around backstage and waited for cameras to go off, happy to have a match even if it wasn’t aired. But recently, they hadn’t even had dark matches.
Lots of new talent was slowly filling in from WCW who were already classified as great wrestlers with great careers, so they went straight to the top of the roster, immediately making it on the card every time and shoving those who were finally getting a push way to the end of the long line of superstars hoping to get their in. Plus, no matter how much Lemmy tried to fight with the executives, they refused to let them wrestle anyone but the Women’s roster which hardly got pushed on a normal basis let alone with all the WCW stuff.
But it didn’t matter. They were having a great time, and Jeff and Matt were just doing so good- they had already even held the titles! They would seem ungrateful if they said anything about it. Right?
So today, just like any other day Lemmy sat backstage with the Hardys, waiting for the night to be over so they could go to the next city, or the next state, or wherever the hell they were going next and watch their friends perform in front of crowds of thousands, drawing even more to watch from their TV, just so the crowds could file out and the TV’s would turn off, and Lemmy was performing in front of no one, again.
What was the point of signing a year-long contract with a multi-million dollar media company if it refuses to share the millions or the media time?
Jeff breaks them from their hateful thoughts as he laughs at one of Matt's bad jokes. The sound echoed against the almost empty hallway, bar from the trio and E&C. Lemmy looked away from the brick and mortar they had been glaring down at as if the wall was the one that put them in this position. Christian and Adam were laughing too. They were all talking about their upcoming match at SummerSlam, four days before Jeff’s birthday.
“Enough about that, you got anything going on Lemm?” Christian spoke up, probably noticing that they were there again when they stopped death-staring the concrete. Lemmy’s eyebrows shot up at the sudden attention, eyes glancing around the other four.
“Oh! Uhm, no, not really. They might put me in dark matches again next week.” They looked down to the floor as they spoke, almost embarrassed about how little they had come compared to the two tag-teams besides them main eventing SummerSlam.
Jeff nudged their feet with his wrestling boots, shooting a small smile their way. But Lemmy didn’t look up to see him smile. They just stared at his wrestling boots, the shiny white and black of the leather and their sneakers. DC’s. The big, chunky ones meant for skating. Impossible to wrestle in, and Lemmy knew so, once they had forgotten their wrestling boots back in OMEGA’s gymnasium days and had to wrestle with no shoes. But they still retained their championship, and the crowd loved Karma and their ally Willow as much as they usually did. How come Jeff gets to wrestle but I don’t? That's rude! He worked for it just as hard as you did, don’t think like that…right?
“I don’t get why they don’t give you time on the screen, people loved your debut! I’m really sorry, it must suck not wrestling with how much you put into this.” Christian had always been good at comforting people, but it didn’t seem to be working right now. Lemmy only offered him a shrug and a shaking smile, a hand coming up to scratch the underside of their face- another one of their nervous habits Jeff was quick to catch onto.
“Well, y’know, at least I’ll get to wrestle next week.”
“Hey, how come they don’t put you on anyways? You’re a great wrestler.” Adam asked, finally gearing a bigger response from Lemm. Shaking hands moved furiously, picking, itching, anything for a distraction. A watery laugh left them, and they looked Adam in the eyes.
“I’m on the women's roster.”
Tumblr media
Nobody had heard from Lemmy all night after their interaction with The Hardyz and E&C. Matt and Jeff searched every corner of the arena, asked every single staff member and superstar, hell even random people just walking around outside, and nothing.
Jeff had never been more worried, but Lemmy had left their bag in the locker room which consoled him a little. Nonetheless, the distraction the Hardyz faced caused them to lose their match, which sure, was frustrating but one of their best friends was missing, they had bigger things to worry about.
“Has anyone seen them?” Matt asked the first staff member he saw the second he walked backstage, eyebrows crinkled with worry and his breath heavy. The man stuttered over his words before quickly giving up and shaking his head at both of the boys who rushed past him and to their locker room, Amy behind them.
“Guys, I think we should just take a minute and breathe. I mean you’ve known them for so long, maybe if you just sat down for a sec you could think of where they might be?” Amy spoke to both of the Hardyz, but her reasoning only seemed to reach Matt, who took a quick breather as his hand moved to his forehead, rubbing back and forth.
“Okay. Okay, where the hell would Lemmy be?” Matt stressed from his place on the wooden locker seat, Jeff throwing himself onto the bench as well. The room filled with silence, Amy with no answer, and Jeff too worried to even think of one. Matt quickly noticed his brother's growing anxiety and spoke up again.
“Jeff.” He only sighed, leg bouncing and hands wringing together as his eyes burned holes into the floor underneath him. “Jeff, buddy, Lemm’s gonna be okay. We’ll be able to find them faster if you’re able to help us.”
Jeff gave his brother no response, and instead his head shot up, his body following shortly as he dove for Lemmy’s duffel bag and quickly started going through that.
“Should..should you really be going through that?” Amy asked, still standing next to the bench. When Jeff didn’t answer, she looked over to Matt and pointed her hand in Jeff's general direction with an exasperated look.
“Oh, it’s fine, half of it’s probably his anyway.” Matt waved off, but his attention quickly returned to his brother stumbling up and towards the door. “Jeff? Jeff!”
Tumblr media
The arena was right next to a boardwalk, covered in creaky wood, here and there a patch of new concrete and colorful sidewalk chalk of visiting children’s artwork, almost impossible to see but the moon shined brightly that night. The tides were high and the wind was strong, pushing the waves and the smell of freshwater onto the rickety benches, as old as the dead wood lifting up from under the feet of tourists in the daylight.
But there were no tourists, not this far into the night. Now, it was only Lemmy who sat with the cold metal outline of one of the wooden benches digging into their back, shaking hands holding a small blue book in one and a cigarette in the other. A sigh matching the stature of their hands leaves Lemmy.
Lemmy had found water calming for quite a while. They didn’t have to necessarily be in it, they just liked to appreciate the beauty of it. As a teenager, they had spent most of their days at the “Hardy Compound” as the boys like to call it for some odd reason, and late nights filled with campfires and dirt bikes always ended with someone being tossed in the mud filled pond.
Maybe that’s why Lemmy liked the water, they never did as a kid. They didn’t like much before North Carolina, except wrestling. The heat of their cigarette grew closer to their fingers and drew them from their daydreams. They took another drag before stubbing it out on the bench and placing it next to them, refusing to litter as if they hadn’t just blackened their lungs.
The crowd cheered from inside the arena.
Lemmy sighed, bitter in a way they wish they weren’t. Their neck fell back against the prickly, curved wood and their eyes fell upon the stars before closing with another sigh. The hand that once held the cigarette grabbed the other end of the blue book, more of a journal really, trembling hands flipping scratchy pages in search for a specific page.
Lemmy pushed up from the bench and stalked towards the old pay phone, grabbing cold quarters from their jean pocket, trembling fingers pushing them into the machine with a clank and dialing the numbers in their little journal.
The phone rang for a couple times before rustling was heard on the other end along with a rough, muffled voice mumbling a questioned greeting.
“Uncle Scott?” Lemmy sounded desperate, voice raised in the way it gets before tears start pouring. The man on the other side answered quickly, clearly concerned.
“No, no, I’m okay, I promise.” They paused again, listening to the other end. A quiet, short laughter left them. “The boys are okay too, Uncle Scott. I just, um, I just need your thoughts on some stuff.”
Tumblr media
Jeff frantically pushed the arena’s metal door open, quickly being greeted by the cold breeze and the loud clanking of the door locking behind him. Still in his ring gear, the leather on his feet shined bright under the glare of the moon as they led his body to the brink of the boardwalk.
He stared down at the start of the wood and the contrasting concrete under his aching soles before he quickly looked up, scanning the edge of the boardwalk. With nothing but darkness in his view he spun, a silhouette outlined on a park bench now in sight, thighs to chest and chin to knees. The posture gave it away, his Lemm sat cuddled up by themselves with nothing but the blue book that had been missing from their duffel sat next to them.
“Oh, Jesus, Dallas.” Jeff cursed under his breath, already jogging his way over.
“Dallas!”
Lemmy’s head left their knees and whipped towards his voice as it quickly grew closer, rushing to their feet as he lewers in on them. Jeff's hand reaches for the back of their head, roughly pulling them to his body and causing Lemm to stumble back, Jeff moving with them.
“Oh good Lord, you scared the hell straight out of me, Dallas Austin.” His words were shakey as he held them tightly, afraid they would disappear if he even thought of letting go. Lemmy breathed in, enjoying the comfort of the washing waves and Jeff’s embrace and wrapped their arms around him, holding him just as tight as he did to them.
“Please don’t ever do that again. Please.” He whispered into the harsh wind as Lemm shoved their face further into his neck.
“M’sorry. Know I shouldn’ta left like that, just had to-had to get outta there.” Their voice was muffled against his skin, growing tighter as they stuttered through an apology. Jeff loosened his grip, hands moving to gently grasp their upper arms, all of his worry obvious on his face.
‘Is this about whatever that was earlier? You wanna talk about what's goin’ on now?” His voice was gentler than it seemed like it ever could be. Lemmy’s eyelids crinkled shut, head frantically shaking.
“I’m fine, promise. I’ve been upset ‘cause of booking, I just needed a cool down.” It wasn’t necessarily a lie, just not all of the truth.
“You sure, Lemm?” Jeff dipped his head down, now at their level as his concern grew at their refusal to look him in the eyes.
“Really, I’m fine, Jeff. It’s just a little upsetting not getting booked and I’ve just been missing home and Uncle Scott so I thought I'd give him a call.” Again, not the truth but also not a lie.
“Alright, I guess.” Jeff finally relented but was obviously still skeptical. He brought them back into a hug with a deep, worried breath. “Y’know, you scared all of us pretty bad. You’re important, Dallas. Don’t forget that.”
Lemmy’s eyes held a glint of something he couldn’t recognize, conflict hidden beneath their resolve.
“I know. I know, I just needed to call Uncle Scott.” Lemmy repeated their alibi but their words were shaky, hinting at the emotion lingering behind. Jeff only hums in response, pulling Lemmy closer as he shivers in the wind.
Noticing his tenseness Lemmy pushed their hands under his shirt- not that it was much, he had run out in his ring gear which had only consisted of one of the mesh shirts that night- and pressed their palms to his lower back. Their attempts to make Jeff warmer clearly didn’t work very well, he only arched away from their unknowingly cold hands and screeched their name.
“Sorry! Sorry, I thought my hands were warm, sorry Jeffro.” Lemmy laughs, genuine happiness for the first time in much longer they would’ve liked to admit. “Maybe we should go back inside before one of us catches a cold.” They muttered into the harsh fabric of the bright yellow flesh covering his shoulder.
Before Jeff could even consider moving inside, the metal door clinkered open. Matt and Amy shuffled out from it in much more comfortable clothes than what Jeff still wore, his shirt making it very easy for the duo to find Jeff and Lemm.
“You guys suck.” Neither could tell if Matt’s exclamation was sarcastic or not.
“We had to ask, like, every single person if they’d seen either of you leave! We even asked Mankind, do you know how weird that guy is?” Amy scolded the two from besides Matt.
“Hey! Mick might be a little…unusual, but he’s real nice!” Lemmy stuck up for their old friend, playfully scolding Amy. Matt and Jeff’s confusion was obvious, eyebrows furrowing.
“How do you know that guy, Lemm?” Jeff asked.
“Oh, uh, my dad wrestled with him for a bit in ECW. I’ve met him a couple times.” Lemmy brushed it off with a shrug.
“They were in ECW at the same time? I thought your dad left to come over to WWF just a couple months before Mick returned back to ECW.” Matt and his all-knowing wrestling knowledge questioned.
“Oh, really? I must have confused him for someone else then.” Lemmy spoke almost frantically with a nervous laughter attached. An awkward silence blanketed over the four as Lemmy looked down to their hands, picking at the already chipping nail polish Jeff had haphazardly painted on so they could be matching. The others stared over at them, still confused.
“Um, anyways, we should probably get heading to the hotel. We brought your guys’ stuff so we wouldn’t have to go back inside.” Amy spoke up, taking their duffel bags off of Matt’s shoulder and held them out. Jeff and Lemmy said their thanks while grabbing their bags. Jeff took Lemm’s from them before they had the chance to put it over their shoulder and held it with his own.
“I can carry my bag, dude.”
“I don’t want you runnin’ off on me again, Lemm. Now come on, I’m tired.” Jeff threw the bags over his shoulder and started walking to their car. Lemmy rolled their eyes from behind him before stumbling to catch up and bumped their shoulders together, sending both of them wobbling in opposite directions. Jeff grabbed their arm closest to him and pulled Lemm back to his side. Matt and Amy watched from behind them as Lemmy cackled while they tripped over their own feet and fell straight into Jeff, his own laughter quickly adding to the mix.
“God, I knew they liked each other but I didn’t know it was this bad!” Amy looked at Matt with an exasperated smile.
“Oh, yeah. You’ll get used to that too. They've been like this since Lemmy got to junior year, I think.”
Tumblr media
Finally arriving at the hotel, Jeff and Lemm- who are both very bad drivers, Lemmy out of recklessness and Jeff out of blindness, but especially bad at night- pile out of the back with everyone’s bag while Matt goes to check in with the receptionist and Amy stretched out beside the car.
Jeff stared up at the sky, admiring the stars with Lemmy’s hand carelessly in his, every once in a while pointing out a constellation to them with a tug to their hand. Lemmy stared down at the ground with sleepy eyes, head leaning against Jeff’s shoulder- much more comfortable now against his thin, black sweatshirt than before.
“Matt booked the rooms right?” Amy asked through a yawn, gaining the other two’s attention. Jeff nodded at her, confusion once again finding its way to his face. “He mentioned something about two rooms and I figured that it would be me and you-“ She looked over at Lemmy as she spoke. “That would get roomed together ‘cause y’know, brothers, I guess. But um, Matt and I were talking about- if it’s okay with you guys, of course- we were talking about uhm, rooming together.” Amy explained, a blush covering her face as she spoke.
“Yeah, that’s all good. That’s what we usually do anyway.” Lemmy spoke with a smile, happy Matt had someone so nice and pretty and great interested in him. “Actually, usually we only get one room and we all shove into it with a couple other guys but I guess it’s a special occasion.” Jeff shoved them under his arm as they spoke, the cold reaching him again.
Matt walked back to the car with two keys, quickly giving Jeff one before him and Amy made their way over to their room, Jeff and Lemm doing the same.
Lemmy opened the door and practically fell on one of the beds, Jeff shortly doing the same right on top of them.
“Jeffro, there’s a whole ‘nother bed, you ain’t gotta be on top of me.” Lemmy muffled into the bed under them. Jeff groaned but moved over, leaving the both of them squished on the twin bed meant for one.
“S’too cold for that.” He pouted over at Lemm, who only laughed at his brattyness.
“You’d think all of those North Carolina winters would make you a little more warm blooded. C’mere, quit bein’ a baby.”
“M’not bein’ a baby, it’s cold!” Jeff pouted some more, but did as Lemmy said and moved back on top of them but this time with Lemmy not being suffocated. Jeff searched for their hand under the blankets, fingers locking in between fingers. His hand was as warm as they always were, but Lemmy didn’t say anything about his claims of being cold.
“Night, Jeffro. Love you.”
“Night, Lemm. Love you, too.”
Jeff fell asleep quickly, light snores leaving his lips from his seemingly comfortable spot. Though Jeff slept seamlessly, Lemmy didn't at all. Instead they thought. They thought of their career, and of The Hardyz. Of Amy, and her interest in Matt, and his interest back. Of WWF, and E&C. Of Karma, and Willow. Of every single thing ever. But mostly, they thought of Jeff.
They thought of what would happen when Jeff and Matt’s career continued to soar and they were left behind, far far behind. Maybe Jeff would replace them with someone more…normal. More attractive, cooler. Less complicated. But when Jeff took a deep breath in his sleep and snuggled closer to them, their negative thoughts disappeared. Still, they thought all night, especially about Jeff, but now it was good thoughts.

I know this took me forever but I also have some of chapter eight done and the body of chapter nine figured out. I feel like I’ve definitely grown as a writer since the last time i wrote for bbs but idk might just be feelin stuff. Anyways, ignore the whole mick foley and stone cold not being in ECW together they were but shhhh its for the plottt. Also very tempted to start an mjf series but i have this and a Nikki sixx series already that I’m bad enough at keeping up with so i think I’ll unfortunately stick to one shots for now. Might keep my inbox closed for just a lil bit longer so i can breathe for a sec lol i hate school
So Y’know how sometimes when you write something and it comes out completely diff than what you wanted? That’s kinda what happened for Lemm’s backstory at first, so I did go back and change some things that didn’t really make sense or just things that I wanted to change loll for instance, uncle Scott is now a thing and if you dont wanna go back and reread this shit that’s ok cuz i also wouldn’t want to it shouldn’t be that different. Should i write more about Lemm’s back story? Or just give y’all like a basic run down? Get in my inbox rn and talk to me 😡 idc ab what just talkkkk to meeeeeeeeee
I actually hate the ending but i am tired and over this y’all

Here’s a fun little tidbit: tonight on NXT, Roxanne Perez wrestled Meiko Satomura.
Meiko made her WCW debut in 1996, participating in an eight-woman tournament for the inaugural WCW Women's World Championship.
Roxanne was born 7 months after Vince bought WWE and the final episode of Monday Nitro aired.
That’s a pretty interesting fact! I love how veterans are facing the future, the youngest stars that will carry the company in the next years.

WWE should just get rid of the Raw and SD Women's Championships and make the WWE Women's Championship and revive the WCW Women's Championship as the Women's World, and the reason I say this is because having Bianca and Rhea swap belts, thus ending Bianca's reign via draft, demeans title reigns so much and makes them feel worthless as titles. Stop with the branded titles, they feel worthless.

One thing I notice about current WWE, in addition to being reliant on the past (Which AEW is also guilty of but I digress) it seems that they want the company to be the star lately, not the wrestlers and that honestly makes it feel like I'm watching 1995 RAW instead of 2022 RAW
It's been like this since Cena's decade of doom ended. All it cares about is the image of the company. No one is allowed to be a star like Hogan, Austin, Rock or Cena. Now? No one is allowed to be as big as Roman Reigns The Four Two Horsewomen(I say Two Horsewomen cause Sasha is Bayley's best friend and I can't see Bayley being okay with how Sasha was treated) and no one is allowed to be bigger than the company.
The wrestlers these days are like props with catchphrases. They read scripts and their promos don’t feel authentic and organic. They are not larger than life, they are not stars and no one cares enough about wanting to be stars. The company doesn't want stars or larger than life personalities. They want to control them and every aspect. And WWE views the “superstars” as replacable and no one is valued in the WWE, they don’t care about anyone who isn’t Roman or Charlotte or D-List Celebrities.
Passion, momentum and creativity dies in WWE. No one is allowed to organically get over on their own. If it’s not a chosen one by Vince, then they are punished for having a genuine connection with the audience.
No one wants to rock the boat. No one wants to make the best possible product, they want to do what Vince wants.
Just look at Sasha Banks as an example. This woman is the very embodiment of a star. She walks and talks like a star. She works like a star. She has mainstream star appeal. Oh let's not forget. SHE WAS IN FUCKING STAR WARS!
WWE never treated Sasha like the star she was born to me. Charlotte won at Wrestlemania 32, when the entire crowd was behind Sasha. Sasha had piss poor title reigns and shitty booking throughout her career. Only when the Golden Role Models era did it feel like they finally treated her right.
Sasha Banks has had a terribly booked run as Smackdown Women’s Champion, a botched feud with Bayley and Bianca but only good matches. WWE NEVER ONCE capitalized on Sasha Banks being IN FUCKING STAR WARS when she was Women’s Champion. Her feud with CHarlotte was dropped and she went out of her way to bring life back to the Women’s Tag Titles. Sasha Banks walked out of WWE twice, and both times it was because they broke their promise to let her build a midcard for the women’s division. This time she gave up a main event title match with Ronda Rousey for it. That’s not selfish, that’s what a leader does.
WWE should build around Sasha Banks the way they have built around Roman Reigns. She is demonstrably excellent at every aspect of her job, is amongst the company's biggest ratings draws, and has crossover appeal. Yet they never capitalize on her mainstream appeal and instead thinks Ronnie Lousey is worth more, OH AND THE FACT THEY NEVER ADVERTISED THAT ONE OF THEIR BIGGEST FUCKING STARS WAS IN FUCKING STAR WARS(NO I WILL NEVER LET THIS FUCKING GO, YOU FUCKING IDIOTS)
Another Example is what happened to NXT. Because Vince is petty and because HHH lost the Wednesday night wars, NXT was killed and replaced with NXT 2.0. I feel like NXT 2.0 is the modern day Black Saturday. Black Saturday refers to Saturday, July 14, 1984, the day when Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Federation (WWF) took over the time slot on Superstation WTBS that had been home to Georgia Championship Wrestling (GCW) and its flagship weekly program, World Championship Wrestling, for 12 years. McMahon’s purchase led to a longstanding rivalry between himself and WTBS owner Ted Turner, who later bought GCW’s successor Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP) and formed his own company under the World Championship Wrestling (WCW) name. A lot of fans of GCW did NOT like this. This took away their more serious southern, athletic and serious wrestling or as they dubbed it “Gordon Solie” wrestling and replaced it with McMahon’s cartoonish, gimmicky and silly alternative. I feel the same has happened with NXT. HHH’s NXT was like the old days of NWA wrestling, it had a more focus on wrestling, a dark and gritty feel and it felt like what the WWE needed to evolve into. When NXT 2.0 came around. It made everything more bright and colorful(quite literally lol) more gimmicks, cartoony, phony and fake and it just feels like Vince taking NXT in the back of the barn and shooting it and replacing a prized horse with a jackass. And as Bronson Reed said recently “NXT was the professional wrestling show, now it’s just another entertainment show.”
And honestly? Modern WWE is like WCW 2000. Terrible booking, bad comedy, legends forced down our throat at the expense of the young hungry talent, 3 hours of television and a product no one, not even the people in charge care about.

I was re-reading an old post of yours about RIc Flair, and I was wondering: what do you think makes it a proper world title? Is it just being the most important belt any promotion has (so, teeny-tiny ones can just say they have the world champion) or is there some measure of size or prestige (if such a thing exists in a fake sport) that a belt has to have before you can say you are an x-time world champion?
I've thought about this over the years, but I don't think a "proper" definition of a world title is possible in pro wrestling. Usage of the term within the business has become totally divorced from the literal meaning of the words.
Semantically, it'd be fair to say a "world title" is any championship with "world" in the name. Realistically, we might limit that to the promotions with a worldwide audience. But by this standard, ROH world six-man tag team champion Austin Gunn has a world title, and undisputed WWE universal champion Roman Reigns does not. And we instinctively know that's not right.
In the context that the term is used, a "world title" is clearly a promotion's main event championship, with the implicit assumption that only a men's world heavyweight singles title could be that top prize. So if we're talking about a 7-time world champion, we might mean Harley Race, but probably not Danny Hodge.
In the old says, the aura of a (men's) world (heavyweight singles) champion was that of a man who could carry the entire company, and defend himself in the event of a double-cross. The mentality was that the world champ had to be the legit toughest guy in an otherwise fake sport, because if he wasn't, someone might take a payoff to go off-script and break his leg. That all kind of faded away 40-50 years ago, but the perception that you have to be on a higher level to win a world title persists. So there's a sense that you have to be the top champion in a promotion big enough for it to mean something that you're on top.
Since anybody can call any championship a world title, there's no obvious place to draw the line as to which of them really matter. It seems to me, though, that a promotion has to have (or once had) nationwide exposure for its world title to be taken seriously. That sounds contradictory, to say that being a national-level promotion makes your top title a "world" title. But going by that definition we can count the top belts in WWE, AEW, WCW, the NWA, the AWA, New Japan, All Japan, Pro Wrestling NOAH, CMLL, the UWA, and AAA, which sounds about right. Of course, this would also include TNA, ECW, and ROH, which would be controversial, but any definition would put somebody on the bubble.
Going forward, I expect the top women's titles in those companies will be treated more and more like "world titles," not just in name but in terms of that tippy-toppy aura. And sooner or later I figure GCW and at least one British promotion to have the credibility to join the club. So even if we could settle on an objectively useful definition, it'll probably need to change within the next 10-20 years.
