This book was a great find in a charity shop a few years back. It’s a non-fiction ✅ lift the flap/ interactive ✅ and beautifully presented ✅ * In this book the reader learns all about what’s under ground. With a similar feeling to ‘Under Water, Under Earth’ (see my page for a review on this wonderful book) it takes its readers in a journey to see what lies beneath their feet. ★ Who is your favorite character from The Last Hours? If you haven’t read the books, who is your most owned author?    Happy #ShadowhunterSunday friends!  My favorite character from The Last Hours is Jesse Blackthorn. I’ve always been intrigued by his character and am so glad we’re getting his story in this series!    James, Lucie, Cordelia, Matthew, Thomas, Christopher, Alastair, and Anna are all close seconds. Grace is in third. 😂 Honestly, I’m really glad we’ve learned a lot more about Grace’s backstory too, as I always assumed there was more to be known. I liked her quite a lot more in Chain of Iron.    That said, my most owned author is definitely Cassandra Clare! We have limited spaces available so if you’re not successful this time, you can try in our Spring call out. Please not we receive a large volume of emails and are not able to reply to every one.

YA Blogger Policy

Walker Books Ltd., (“we”; “our”; “us”) have a Young Adult (“YA”) blogger, vlogger and instagrammer database (“YA Blogger Database”) who will be contacted with the opportunity to receive review copies of our new YA titles on a monthly basis, as well as occasionally receive proof copies of new YA books we feel they will enjoy. Those on the YA Blogger Database can request review copies while our review stocks last.

Keep an eye out on our @WalkerBooksUK twitter or Inkslingers Tumblr for alerts of these call outs. Outside of these times, we are not able to add new bloggers to the YA Blogger Database.  

There is no set requirement on the number of followers you need to have, we will consider each request individually based on a number of factors, and the decision to add new contacts will be made at our discretion. Passion and engagement are as important a factor as follower numbers. If you are added to the YA Blogger Database (“you”; “your”), we will let you know – however due to the volume of enquiries we receive, if you do not hear back, please assume you have not been successful this time, and try again next time.  Additionally we reserve the right at our discretion to remove contacts from the YA Blogger Database.  

By giving us your contact details you are agreeing to receive monthly emails and physical copies of books in the post. You can unsubscribe to this contact at any time by emailing us on [email protected] and we will delete your contact details. Your details will not be shared with third parties.

What a hilarious start to the day. Looking through this book I couldn’t help but chuckle. Every time I’ve read it so far it’s made me laugh. Believe it or not I hadn’t heard of this series until the end of term where a TA at my school showed me this book. I loved it so much she said I must take it home with me. * It follows the story of a pigeon who’s dream it is to drive a bus - well we can all see the issue here. He talks to you, the reader, trying to persuade you to let him drive the bus whilst the bus driver is away. Would you or your little one give in? An interesting conversation to have with your child about right and wrong emotions and maybe even peer pressure! * What I love about this book is it’s simplicity - especially in the illustrations. The pigeon’s face is so expressive and I really feel like I know and understand this little guy and how he’s feeling. You could definitely delve into various more unusual emotions like the feeling of frustration.
