Vanoe's script wasn't as good as Night Ray.

But I would assume the connotation is still a romantic one, not just vague “love”. That’s why I’m so curious where she’s taking their relationship, especially on Noe’s end bc he’s narrating this. There’s too many vanoé moments that have an underlying layer of “not platonic”. We saw Noé dance with Domi at the Bal Masque and him dancing with Vanitas later on.

Those two scenes are treated very differently when they didn’t have to be. Noé remembering the time he met Vanitas with literal rose-tinted glasses. This isn’t really done for someone who’s just a “dear friend.” At least in manga. That’s why I don’t agree with vanoé being queerbait because it cheapens their relationship. This isn’t fan-service, they are important scenes for their characters and the story. There is thought and planning behind it. Explicitly canon or not.

<3 ~ when noé figured how he liked you, it was when you were flirting with him on a pick up line, [good pick up line here], or he was probably talking about you messing with him and asked vanitas what is love like that eps. He rant on how he felt about you, feeling fuzzy and warm being near you or talking to you, saying how beautiful,pretty or handsome you are, like how love at first sight hits him from how memorizing you are.

<3 ~ His chest might get tight because of you always flirting with everyone before he knew of his feelings, he never knew why because he never felt this way with anyone so its completely new to him. Once he knew of this feeling of love, he tries to ignore that feeling and vanitas might tease/make a comment about it, “Ooo noé needing a little attention~” he sometimes won’t say directly about him being jealous but that’s rare. It might only happen is noé is gonna do something for him later that day/did that thing already.

<3 ~ He might give you more attention, I mean MORE since he already does give you his full attention than vanitas, he’s kinda mad about it lol. To the littlest sounds you make he turns to look at you and see what your doing, doesn’t matter if your doing the simplest thing like wrapping something, he will turn to watch you. Murr sometimes goes to you do noé can watch you pet him/try looking for him. Due to his constant state of annoyance, he kinda prefers being with you than his owner, its kinda sad but noé sees it that his cat has adapted to his crush’s heart so it’ll be easy for him to get along without trouble.

<3 ~ Noé will probably only confess when every single one of his friends, probably mainly vanitas, to tell you about his feelings cause they told him on how you also like him they totally didnt do a mini rant on how they said you talk about him everyday that gave him confidence on telling you his feelings all that he needed was a good place and time. He was thinking REAL hard for the perfect place, since he goes over France he might have some places he has spotted wonderful in mind, so it’s a tuff decision on these spots he thinks are good. In comes Amelia on her way to help noé! He wanted to be mean and pick a non-wonderful place but didn’t work with him since vanitas actually found it a good spot.
