Ένας γνωστός, μου είχε πει κάποτε πως "δε ντύνομαι σαν κλασσική fashion blogger" αλλά ντύνομαι πολύ ωραία και κομψά για τα δεδομένα του. Σκέφτηκα λοιπόν, εκείνη τη στιγμή, για ακόμα μια φορά μετά από χρόνια, ότι αυτός ήταν ο λόγος που ξεκίνησα γενικά το blogging. Τότε, που το blogging ήταν το χόμπι μου μετά το πέρας της εξεταστικής. Ήταν μεν άκρως γοητευτικός για μένα ο συνδυασμός κειμένου και εικόνας (το blog ήρθε λοιπόν σχεδόν αβίαστα), αλλά εκτός αυτού διάβαζα πολλές vintage bloggers, οι οποίες βέβαια δεν ανταποκρίνονταν στα ελληνικά δεδομένα. Γιατί, ΟΚ, τέλειο το στυλ της Dita Von Teese (aka το αιώνιο style icon μου), αλλά αν ανατρέξουμε στα καθημερινά outfits γνωστών Old-Hollywood icons θα δούμε capri παντελόνια, polo t-shirts, και πάνινα sneakers. Vintage, δεν είναι μόνο τα φορέματα και η λάμψη. Vintage is a state of mind, φίλη μου. I spy with my little eye... that’s right, just the one eye! I went blind in the other one due to my neurological disability: it stops the connection between my left eye and my brain. I don’t notice it much, since I’ve lived with it for 10 years now, but it reduces my peripheral vision (I’m constantly surprised by things coming from my left) and ruins my depth perception! Remember the laptop drama from vlogmas? Yep, I’m blaming that on my silly eye! 😅 When I’m tired my vision is much worse and it can be upsetting but I’m really grateful for what I can see and I LOVE looking at sparkly things! I think they’re prettier now than they were before I lost my sight! ✨ I also get to make a lot of ‘one eye’ jokes! Who else has a vision impairment and likes to make jokes about it??? -J .
