I am not okay. I am so not okay. And surprisingly, it’s not from Idia and Ortho, though yes, that was worse than I was expecting for their backstory and I will never emotionally recover from it.

No, the one that has me fucked up the most is VIL. He threw away everything all for the sake of saving Idia and Grim. Leona had already warned him of the consequences. But even though Vil had spent his whole life working for his beauty and acting career, even though he was willing to commit murder and overblot in chapter 5 and emphasized his commitment to his desire to be “the fairest of them all” in chapter 6 - he sacrificed everything. Even more than that, it’s only because of his sacrifice that they were able to close the gate to the underworld and save the world.

He lost all of his youth and vitality and aged to an old man despite being 18 for the boy that kidnapped, tormented, and nearly killed him and the monster cat that helped stop him in chapter 5. He was willing to sacrifice his entire life for them.

Vil finally proved what he wanted to after chapter 5. Vil is the true hero of this chapter.
