Fully stocked on all of my seeds now. When I opened my package from Victory Seeds today I began to realize how much it feels like treasure, having these perfect little pods ready to produce food for us. Growing our own food has not only been rewarding, it has been an incredible blessing. Can't say for sure but one looks to be in the lead, maybe a bit more bulk a bit more orange. Time will tell, the "candy" look is selling itself on the second one. . Sometimes hard to say how many ambers are changing when the majority is still renewing flowers. Which is perfectly eh-okay with me! About a week, maybe two at most IMO. Three months is roughly up or should be soon. -. . Will check that at some point. Don't follow dates anyways. . Not bad for an auto that had spent first month sharing no light under a 315w w four flowering plants. . Pretty much ran the whole flower cycle with a fluence vypr x + . Surprise‼️ This is so much fun! This was my first time growing this very rare Petmecky Indian flour corn from @victoryseeds The story is that it was given to the Petmecky family from the Comanche, and they grew it for many years. Opening the ears is a lot of fun, because there are different colors in each one. Like opening little surprises 😃 They are all so beautiful!!! Will most likely save a lot of this harvest for seed, but also looking forward to trying this as popcorn and corn flour! Until then, I'll enjoy its beauty 🌽 I so appreciate the seed companies saving these wonderful heirloom varieties that are fun, beautiful, delicious and so important for us to carry on. Another incredible harvest. There's still over half the garden growing food so we aren't done yet, but it's definitely slowing down (phew). I've weighed every harvest and every individual type of food and so far, we have saved ourselves almost $1300 in produce (around 550lbs of food not including all of my pickings for dinner salads and herbs here and there). I have preserved more pounds of food than I can count and we've been eating from the garden for the past 5 months or so.
