Fuse's t-shirts in Vice Versa ep 1-6

We have two more to add to the collection! And if you didn't already know, the series is deliberately dressing Fuse in anecdotal t-shirts that seem to reflect/offer commentary on the mood of the scene...at the end of the series I'ma need someone to make a gif set of them all...but that's not for another 6 weeks...

Ep 1 - when Talay wakes up in the alternative universe: "STAY HOME"

Ep 2 - when Talay is trying to find his portkey match: "Just Quit"

Ep 4 - when the three friends are doing their final exams: "Believe in Yourself"

Ep 4 - when Fuse "almost" bribes Puen to be cast as the protagonist and when Puen almost gets to drink before Talay takes it away from him:

Ep 4 - when Fuse is reciting the 2Gether lines, “Do you want to try?…”, and also as Puen tries again to hit on Talay: "TRY AGAIN? yes/no"

Ep 6 - when Talay is missing and thinking about Puen: "You are my good memory"

Ep 6 - when Talay is worried about whether he like-likes Puen, and Kita tells him 'you don't need to be afraid of failing in the end': "everything is gonna be alright"

GAWIN ACTING KING!!! I already expected to love pisaeng just bc he's played by him but GODDAMN he's exceeding my expectations as a character! I get what you mean about jittirain's love interests, while I do sense some common pathetic-ness between him & khai lol, pisaeng is very mature, healthy & not pushy at all. he's actually a pretty withdrawn love interest compared to the usual ones (I haven't seen vice versa so only talking about khai, sarawat & mork) that are very involved in the main character's life. it's honestly refreshing, and perhaps why I love pisaeng so much? he feels very realistic bc he's honest to himself & his feelings but doesn't make it kawi's problem either which is amazing :)

Fuse's t-shirts in Vice Versa ep 8

We should all know by now that the series is deliberately dressing Fuse in anecdotal t-shirts that seem to reflect/offer commentary on the mood of the scene... Well, ep 8 gets a whole post itself because Fuse graced the screen so many times and wore a lot of different t-shirts that I had to document it. And each time I knew he was arriving (either through his voice or appearing in the background), I immediately thought "omg what will Fuse's t-shirt say this time?!" like an excited child on christmas day.

And the first time was a doozy, "C'est La Vie", when Talay's attempt to sell his clothes goes awry and whilst the Friend Credits group are trying to figure out how to finance the film. This French phrase is mostly used to downplay the sense of disappointment when things don't go well....

Then we got a scene where Fuse and Kita are in suits. The latter has his typical knitted top underneath the jacket but Fuse appears to not have anything under - which looks a lot like the production team said 'if it's not appropriate for Fuse to wear a t-shirt with a slogan on then he won't wear one at all...'

And then Fuse wears three t-shirts that he's already worn in the series. First is "you are my good memory" when he goes to Aou to try to get him to change the character of Dr Wayo to a playboy. This is an interesting choice here and doesn't immediately seem to reflect the mood of the scene...so, as some others have pointed out, perhaps this is an indicator that Aou and Fuse might become a second couple. Maybe this t-shirt is foreshadowing Aou becoming someone that Fuse thinks about fondly in the future...or vice versa...which feels odd right now because I can't see their personalities going together...but maybe this whole 'changing the character' storyline is also a bit meta...in that Fuse's playboy personality might get changed by getting closer and falling for Aou.

I loved the return of the "Don't Quit" t-shirt...and at first one could say that it's a commentary on Talay trying to get in touch with Alessandro and struggling working with Mek...BUT it could also be directed at Fuse himself (just like the previous t-shirt) - suggesting that Fuse should quit trying to get Aou to change his character and instead to work to understand it.

And then "Ordinary", which I haven't written about before because this one confuses me a bit. I wonder if the most common meaning of 'ordinary' - 'average/not special' - is not really what the design team meant it to be...I wonder if they mean 'ordinary' more in the sense of 'everyday/regular/routine'...because the first time Fuse wears it in ep 2 the three friends are drinking at a nightclub, something they used to do regularly, he thinks Talay has been dumped and he sort of reminds Talay that he's 'ordinarily' a player. The second time Fuse wears the t-shirt, in ep 8, he's asking Aou to help him research the vet character - maybe to gain an 'everyday' knowledge of the subject...or maybe it's because this new friendship will develop into an 'everyday routine' as they get closer...?

IM A BIT LATE THIS WEEK BECAUSE I COULD WATCH THE EPISODE ONLY THIS MORNING BUT HIII ANON HIIIIIII!!!!!!!!!

it's true that the brainrot was slightly less prominent this time around compared to the first three episodes, however i so deeply relate bathtubs in particular with puentalay that as soon as i saw ray in one in the opening scene it got me SPIRALING, especially since we know from the trailer that at some point he's gonna be sitting in it with sand. the bathtub, as a symbol, represents a place of cleansing and purification, both physically and emotionally (which is why puen 'cleaning' talay's heart in the nivea bathtub scene my beloved makes me feral), but an empty one also signify a feeling of loneliness and a sense of abandonment or neglect, as the water that is meant to nurture and rejuvenate is missing, leaving whoever is sitting in it adrift and unsupported and with a void that needs to be filled

both talay and ray have been in an empty bathtub at one point

and it's interesting to see that water fills it only when puen and sand (or things that symbolize them) are nearby

or even inside the bathtub with them

(actually im not sure if there's gonna be water in this sandray scene but if im right there should be)

my expectations weren’t super high. they were at most at a mild incline. and yet this episode took them down a steeeeep decline.

i don’t think i was expecting much, maybe just seeing something of the characters we’ve been watching for the past 10 episodes, maybe seeing something more of Tess and Tun, maybe seeing how they adjust to life back in their universe.

My highest, most unreasonable expectation was for Tess to have been forced to grow up and in a show with universe hopping that doesn’t feel like asking for too much

My most shitposty expectation that I was excited about but didn’t really expect too much for was a Drake cameo stemming from portkey logistics that they’ve established before.

jokes on me for expecting them to stick to the existing universe rules i guess? because, what? they’re too special for the rules (or anybody else we have grown attached to) to matter???
