Veronica Dantes was born to a very well-known married couple in town. Her upbringing on the outside was extravagant, luxurious, and envied. Her parents sold the story that their precious, only child and daughter was loved and raised in a house filled with warmth, love, and kindness. Unfortunately behind closed doors it was anything but. The house was cold and harsh, and The truth was Veronica’s parents were abusive. The abuse caused a certain change in Veronica, a change very few saw but the mark it left was irreparable. The feelings her parents had for her were unclear. If they loved her then why did they treat her with just disdain and hatred? And if they hated her why did they have and keep her? However, if you were to ask Veronica she wholeheartedly still holds some love and affection for them.

The one thing that gave Veronica comfort in her time during all this was her friendship with Cordelia. The two met as kids and immediately bonded ever since, despite the differences in their upbringing the two have always had each other’s backs and Veronica always looked forward to seeing her sunshine face. Cordelia and her brother Lucas were the only people she talked about the abuse to. The fear in her voice as she told them was apparent and clear as day. She wanted to tell Cordy without hesitation. Lucas, she wasn't sure until she knew he wouldn't say anything. They both vow to never tell anyone, a promise they have continued to kept to this very day.

Veronica has worked hard for everything she has including her job at Bardales Inc. Being a lawyer was not something she first envisioned herself as  when she was a child, however, she can’t imagine doing anything else. As one would imagine her childhood left a mark on her, and for the most part, it was for the worst. Only one thing came out of it, her career as a lawyer. Veronica saw being a lawyer as a way to help those who can’t help themselves. She has worked hard to prove herself to her boss.

 As of right now, Veronica is trying to deal with her parents passing in a car crash. The feelings are complicated because she wants to hate them and be glad they are dead. Unfortunately, a part of her is. There’s also another part that wishes they didn't die. Wishes they could had a last-minute conversation. She always wishes not everyone in town judged her for not breaking down in tears, every time they mention them. If only, they knew. If only she wasn't abused. If only she had someone to help her. If only.

ah thank you so much! I wrote out every single thing I need. I always do that as the first thing, now i just need to figure out what I’m going to bring clothing wise (which I will do a little closer to when I leave so I can check the weather), but I will start packing everything else on my list wednesday between redyding my hair again. and then prob pack clothing friday/saturday riiiiight before leaving
