maybe this is controversial but i think it’s Good that fem v gets the spotlight in marketing and promotional material. what happened to wanting to see more women front and center in games, did some of y’all just give up on that or is this ur first time not feeling represented? cuz this is one of the few times i actually feel represented as a woman in gaming and idk how some of y’all can seriously be upset over a woman being in the spotlight… it’s kinda weird…

i think karkat being a huge romance nerd is so fitting because naturally as a self hating teenager he’d be obsessed with finding some kind of belonging with someone. especially because of his hostility he would SO obsess of the idea of someone seeing past that and deciding to love him for who he is. Karkat would so desperately want someone to love him even if they hurt him because he hates himself. He needs someone to just look at him and feel SOMETHING, anything. And because of his self hatred he’s destined to push anyone that does love him away so he finds that he’s constantly alone and then craves any kind of attention even more than he already would. Idk if that makes sense but to me it does idk,,, just karkat needing to be loved but feeling unloveable at the same time ??? yeah

i feel like the correct way to display rosemary and davekat is that everyone is fucking unhinged except for karkat kanaya cant find her hot knife? thats okay, she’ll just heat up a normal kitchen knife over the gas stove karkat would see and go “rose do you see what your fucking matespirit is doing?!” and rose would respond with “yeah, and she’s being safe so it’s cool” karkat would be fucking flabbergasted and try to consult in dave for reassurance and dave would go “well, she is being safe, so” literally all of them do the dumbest, most dangerous shit sometimes and karkat has to try to reason with them on *why* its dumb and dangerous karkat has probably saved them from possible death more times than he should have to

Like what would he do to guide them? I really don't like the idea of him becoming president like it almost happens on Meat but idk

Does he accidently become a religious figure or smt? Or is it like him being like a father figure to the first trolls on Earth C? Did he become a community leader on a small town and accidently lead a revolution for better maintanence of the city?????

the thing the Homestuck fandom gets consistently wrong is who the mom friend of the beta trolls is. It’s literally Karkat. Tries to keep his friends from doing dumb reckless shit, serves as a romantic advice column on at least one occasion, tries to make sure everyone is pulling their fair weight when it comes to trolling the beta kids, you name it. (now is he GOOD at it? that’s another post)

Kanaya is amazing and easily one of my favorite characters, but the role of “mother” was a societal expectation of her. Often her meddling that people mistakenly see as matronly is her way of flirting, as seen with Vriska and Rose. People come to her for advice but she says that when they do this she feels lost and doesn’t know what to do.
