kaito is a japanese synth developed by crypton future media, and released on 14 feb 2006. kaito is voiced by Naoto Fuga, his v1 is illustrated by Takashi Kawasaki and his v3 by iXima. kaito is one of the "project daisy" vocals, beginning production when Vocaloid was still called "daisy project" (look at last years posts if you want a bunch of kaito lore/ facts, i dont have the characters to spare for it this year). kaito is also available in english. Yamaha lists his birthday as the 14th and crypton as the 17th so his birthday will be both of those days

uni is a korean synth developed by ST MEDiA, and released in 2017. her vp has not been revealed but shes designed by K170 and illustrated by OSUK2. uni is one of the only 2 korean vocaloids (with the only other one being seeu)

kokone is a japanese synth developed by internet co, and released in 2014. her vp has also not been revealed, but shes illustrated by AkkeyJin. kokone is capable of reaching some of the highest notes out of any Vocaloid as she was originally a failed attempt at a megpoid gumi falsetto vb

wei yang is a chinese synth developed by Tianyi Love Music Culture Technology Co., and released on 10 jan 2019. wei yangs character birthday is feb 14 however. he is voiced by paigujiaozhu and illustrated by Krenz

liee (aka Velirio Eden Nasaranta) is a japanese synth managed and voiced by julieraptor, and originally released on 7th aug 2020. liee is nonbinary and uses they/ he/ she pronouns. their different vbs are illustrated by different people, and the art im showing is by rev_bmp. liee is filipino, and has vbs also available in english and korean

Seymour Delaware (aka sey) is a japanese synth created and voiced by dav-p, and released on 19 jan 2023. seymour is a demiboy and uses he/ they pronouns. he is illustrated by C-Cream. seymour is aroace, african american, deaf, and selectively mute. they also have an instrumental vb made with a steel tongue drum

Zuii Takoe is a japanese synth voiced and managed by srscyn, and illustrated by TerrainAkka. zuii uses she/ he/ they pronouns. according to utau wikia and utau wiki 2.0 shes released on 4 apr 2009, but according to vocadb its 27 nov 2009. either way his character birthday is feb 14

UTAU-Bowl Favorite UTAU Poll results

Hello! Last week I posted a Poll about the favorite UTAUs of everyone here! It got twenty-one responses.

I love seeing the results of fandom polls, but for UTAU it's not as easy, since the number of UTAUs is basically infinite. So I made each category a fill-in-the-blank question. Respondents were only required to name one favorite UTAU, and could opt out of naming any others. Still, 20 out of 21 people decided to submit two UTAUs, and 16 of them filled something in for every question.

Here's an organized pie graph of all the responses!

There were twelve* UTAUs that got at least two votes. The top favorite UTAUs were Teto and Defoko, with Tei following close behind. The most surprising part is Rei Nintone being in the top ten! Congrats!

*Rinne Tsubasa also got two votes, I just counted the votes wrong before making the chart and closing the tab.

The "other" category is UTAUs who only got one vote. I'm not really surprised this category takes up the bulk of the votes.

Thanks for responding! For fun, I looked at the results and noticed there were twice as many feminine UTAUs as masculine UTAUs, and most of those are in the mature or powerful category.

Most Popular UTAUs on UTAU-Bowl for April 2021

This month, the blog grew in popularity a lot more than before! It was a little hard to make this list even because there were so many contenders. I ended up raising my standards (usually I include anything with more than 6 notes but there were just so many!). Teto’s Birthday happened in April too and there was a lot of excitement around that! But linking to all the Teto posts I made would be kinda pointless, haha. This time I also included reasons why said UTAUs trended. It’s always interesting to see the list change every month.
