Finale applause for the lead role I'm so proud of this piece, at first I didn't like Beato but with time she really grew on me and her quest for identity resonated with me at a dark time. Umineko truly is a incredible game.

Ahahahaha.wav~ 🦋
It's the spooky month, so I'm aiming to make some new merch in accordance with the season. What better way to start it off than with a witch? I'd like to do more Umineko charms in the future, but Beatrice felt like a good place to start~ (Also it'll be 3D, here's the vision) 👇

I’m re-watching a gameplay of episode 6, and is it just me or is George heavily coded as having a learning disability? Like, I can’t really see many other reasons as to why he would have to need so many extra lessons and kinds of teaching environments. Not only that but when Witch!Eva is talking to George it kind of really reminds me of my own experiences with parents and relatives giving underhanded digs at my autonomy because I need more support to understand and grasp concepts that are quite easy to neurotypical people. The whole “you can’t handle your own life, let me handle everything and just go along with it” is a very common sentiment amongst parents of neurodivergent kids who are just functional enough to pass as neutorypical to other people not in the known

Umineko Thoughts
One of the things I really love about Chapter 4 is its ability to put us in the position of the protagonist.
And sure, technically, we’ve always been the protagonist.  Not only do we “play” as Battler, but we ourselves “The Player” have been tasked by the Narrative and Bernkastel herself to figure out the mysteries unfolding before us, which is the same task given to Battler diagetically.
However, Chapter 4 is the first time, at least for me, that I FELT like I was really in Battler’s shoes.  Because the introduction of Ange as the deuteragonist reframes the Magic conversation.
Because on one hand, we want magic to be fake.  We’ve wanted that the entire game to this point, because we want Battler to win.  We want him to disprove the Witch’s existence and return to his little sister, saving her from this future of depression and ostracization and abuse.
But on the other hand, if magic is fake... then Ange is just talking to illusions of the Seven Sisters.  She is still a friendless, sad little girl with no one on her side.  Maria’s spells are just a child’s delusions.  She too is playing pretend with her rabbits and Sakutarou and tricking herself into believing that her life is happier than it is.
And if magic is fake, then the Endless does not exist.  Beatrice may be able to revive the Ushiromiyas again and again to play her sick games, but in the “real” world Battler is fighting for, his family was just regular, ordinary murdered.  And in the regular, ordinary world, you get murdered once, and you don’t get to come back from that.  So Ange’s dreams of becoming a Witch of Resurrection and seeing her family again are fruitless, and once again a delusion made to make her world more bearable.
In a similar way, Battler’s been dealing with this dilemma the entire game.  He’s been struggling against his desire to believe in the Witch, because if he blames the Witch, then he doesn’t have to admit someone he loves is a murderer.  If he blames the Witch, then he doesn’t have to go through the pain of suspecting his friends and family.  But if he blames the Witch, the actual culprit never faces justice, and said friends and family have their deaths unsolved and unavenged.
No matter what you wish for or what you fight for, there’s always a loss in either scenario.  So it’s easy for your heart to sway one way or another, back and forth in agony.
I just think it’s a really brilliant chapter.

My understanding of George as a character is still lacking a lot of context to justify his behaviors, so I’m basically working backwards regarding cause and effect, with my only knowledge being the end results.
Things I know about George Ushiromiya:
He has a horrible inferiority complex
This inferiority complex is triggered mainly by Battler being naturally good at social interactions without the need of cunning and manipulation. Basically George seems to envy Battler’s natural charisma
He lashes out against Battler in very subtle ways in order to ruin Battler’s position within the family, by setting him up to be the butt of a joke or manipulating the flow of conversation so Battler’s actions are seen in the worst light possible
George’s inferiority complex was first presented to us when Eva compared George and Battler on the matters of “pulling women”. I am halfway convinced George’s fixation on someone who logically cannot be a competition to him (George is an adult, employed in his father’s company, set for life while poor Battler is Battler) must be rooted in psychosexuality. George is an incestuous homosexual taking it out on the object of his derision/admiration.
With that said, I recommend you rewatch the Shiori Elevator Scene for what I believe George is all about
