Tower of God Theory – Parallels and Similarities between V and Jahad & Baam and Rachel and their connection to Arlene Grace.

While waiting for SIU’s comeback, I decided to read the discussions and theories found in the Reddit sub and therefore, started theorizing myself too. Disclaimer: This foundation of this theory is not only based on facts but on assumptions and ‘theories’ that may or may more fill the plot holes of the story.

Nonetheless, the theory may have a lot of plot holes itself since it’s been forever since I have a read TOG. Instead, I skimmed through the wiki and read the lore, as well as some of SIU’s blog posts to make up for it.

Without further ado, let us now start.

What if V was destined to be the King of the Tower instead of Jahad and him, being an irregular, manipulated his own fate/destiny in order to be closer to the inhabitants of the tower?

We all know that Jahad is currently the King of the Tower, yet based on Enryu’s lore, he is deemed to be a fake king. We all know that before everything started going down hill (for the Great Warriors), it is said that Jahad loved Arlene Grace, and so did V. We all know that before Jahad became the King, he was an adventurer.

Of course, throughout the whole journey, Arlene and V fell in love, then started a relationship. Knowing that V would become the King of the Tower, Jahad decided to form a contract with the administrators to make him King, then propose to Arlene after. Maybe the reason why Jahad wanted to become the King was to get Arlene’s love, only to be refused after.

Now this would explain why Jahad, aside from Arlene and V starting a war between them and the ten families, was enraged (therefore killing Baam) because it is likely that he sacrificed everything to get Arlene’s love. Remember the 3 Princes of the Red Light District? Yes. Wangnan, Karaka, and the Boss. Those 3 mini Jahad’s represent the characteristics/personality Jahad used to have before he became the King of the tower.

What does this theory have to do with Baam and Rachel?

It is simple. Just like V, Baam was given his own destiny, which was to bring truth to the tower, slit the king’s throat, and lead the people of the tower to greater heights. Now, what does Rachel have to do with this? Rachel is trying to steal or do what Baam is destined to do. She wants to become the heroine, the child that would slit the king’s throat, the child that would lead the people to greater heights, and the child that was talked about in the Prophecy. Arlene is heavily connected to this prophecy, as she was the one who went outside the tower, and revived Baam with the help of the outside God.

Why would Rachel want to do that though? Her reasons and motives are still unclear, but it is likely and highly related to Arlene too.

Summary.

Rachel and Jahad have a lot of similarities. They are willing to do anything, and I mean anything, in order to achieve their goals. Rachel would manipulate, use, and basically do moral things in order to achieve what she wants. On the other hand, Jahad would basically lose everything, including himself, also in order to get what he wants.

Baam and V also have their own path planned ahead. They are given the choice whether or not to follow it. V chose not to, and this led to wars and deaths of many. What would Baam choose?

So, back when I originally downloaded the webtoon app ( @webtoonoffical ) the first webtoon that appear on my recommendation page was the @official.tower.of.god #TowerOfGod and @crunchyroll announced earlier this year it was going to be turned into an animated adaptation I was so excited and happy! ⁣

Here is the Twenty-Fifth Baam or Baam for short, the main protagonist of the series and my personal favorite character. (Fun fact I had to hand stitch the vest together because I desperately wanted it to be reversible. It was very relaxing and I would definitely do it again) ⁣
