Insane Green AU - On the edge of insanity

[these contents contain description of car accident, murder and implication of schizophrenia, depression and alcoholism, if you don't feel comfortable with it you don't need to read the story!Thank you and have a nice day!]

Second Coming, they were loved by everyone around them. Once known for their power, now just a memory... Second plane relinquished its powers to remain mortal with those they find, Red, Purple, Blue, Yellow and Green. Their lovers. They made that choice on their own, little did they know that this would be the choice that would result in their downfall...

It was a cold night, everyone was getting ready to go out together, Second was about to leave the house but they remember a final touch, a gift they love more than anything besides their loved ones. An orange scarf, a gift from Green given to them on their first anniversary. It was the first gift given to Second, they always used it when they could, and never took it off when they didn't need it, because they loved that scarf so much... They put on the scarf and follow the others to a park they liked a lot. Red and Second were talking a little behind them talking about animals and stuff. Second's smile was cute when they were happy, Green looked at them smiling and admiring them both. Red sees some ducklings in the lake and went to see them, Green approached Second smiling. “Looks like he's having fun right?" He asks smiling, Second smiles back in agreement, "yes greeny..." Second holds Green's hand which he holds back, he stands on tiptoe to kiss second, That kisses him back smiling. "Hey! Stealing what's not just yours is it??" Blue appears wrapping his arms around their necks and kissing them both. "That's my job! Haha" he laughs, they both let go and being slapped on the back of the head by Yellow who laughs at his bold attitude. Everyone laughs. Second sees Purple sitting on a bench doing something on a notepad, Second and Yellow sit next to them, "What are you doing, Purpy?" They ask, Purple looks at them a little embarrassed, And it shows a drawing of them that I was doing, it was just a sketch, but it was pretty cute for Second and Yellow, "woooon, purp! This is great!" Second puts the boat around Purple, Everyone gathers to see the drawing and smiles.

That night seemed so beautiful and peaceful... They were heading back to their house, near their street Second's scarf starts to fly with a cold breeze that hit the moment, "no!!" Second seeing this starts to run after the scarf, The others look in ther direction when they hear his voice scream for the scarf... Everything went so fast, but in seconds everything seemed to stop for a second as only a flash of light shone in front of the eyes of Green and Red, both face to face with the tragedy that would happen...

In seconds, everyone on the street was looking... A car stopped in front of him and the rearview glass shattered, the scarf stopped not far away... Second couldn't pick it up... They were hit by the car pretty hard... Blood on the bumper of the car and on the floor slightly wet from the rain, blood on the broken rearview glass... And Second's motionless body on the floor...

What was supposed to be just a happy night between them turned into a nightmare... Green felt his knees drop, his eyes getting rimmed with tears streaming down onto the cold floor. Blue and Red in tears of despair and horror run to help Second who was lying on the frozen ground. Yellow just had no words to describe the horror they felt and Purple screamed in horror falling to the ground crying at the top of ther lungs. Green didn't know how to react... Second wasn't moving... Even with Blue and Red begging them to wake up... They just didn't respond... In seconds Blue got up and went to the driver's seat that was still in the car doing nothing but registering what had just happened. Blue pulled the man out of his car and started yelling at him, Green could hear nothing but a hum and the repeated echo of the car's dashboards forcing a stop and Second Coming's body slamming hard against the car and falling to the ground hard at the sound of breaking glass...

Blue was about to attack the man in the car while people on the street were calling the police and an ambulance in Panic, Some came to comfort Red who was crying over Second's body, others tried to comfort others who were equally devastated... Green couldn't feel anything, nothing but despair... Blue throws the man onto the asphalt angrily and almost punching him, he sees Green not responding. Worried he runs up to Green and covers him with his coat, "Green! Greeny!!" He shakes him, his face was red from crying with anger and despair, Green looked at him slowly, Got to hear his lover's voice still muffled by the ringing in his ear... "Green..." He slumped to the ground next to Green too, trying to comfort him but failing and only bursting into tears. Green starts to react. He wasn't reacting they try to process everything that had happened... He starts crying and hugs him panting hard in Panic, letting out a scream of despair and horror.

The ambulance and the police arrived, the paramedics took Second and put him inside the ambulance, Green wanted to run to be close to Second but Blue and yellow held him down so he wouldn't get in the way. Red was crying and being comforted by a neighbor and Purple was curled up in tears and sobs being comforted by other neighbors. Everyone was desperate, the neighbors take them to the hospital that second was taken, Green was in panic hugging Blue who tried to comfort him trying to keep himself strong. Hours and hours have passed in the operating room, a doctor comes out of the emergency room with an unpleasant expression, "I'm sorry about your partner...." They all look at him already imagining the worst... "they didn't resist...” an urge to throw up hits Green, he covers his mouth and he kneels on the floor starting to cry non-stop. Red and Purple hug each other crying trying to comfort each other, yellow and Blue hug Green trying to comfort him too...

"This is a nightmare! This isn't happening!!" Green kept repeating in his head trying not to believe it, "Second was right in front of me!!" They said to themselves, "IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME!!!" He screams loudly, repeating the same thing over and over again... The doctor asked the group to stay in the hospital for a while to treat themselves a bit before they go home, especially Green... The doctor allows them to send the Second one last time... at least their bodies... Green refused to see them and Red didn't have the courage to see them, Blue and yellow saw the state and Blue could only cry on Yellow's shoulder as they tried to forget what they saw... Purple..? Their mental state was no longer the best, but now... With this? It sure got worse... Green took himself out of the hospital and was crying on a random bench in the garden, Blue went to him to comfort him but Green just cried in his arms... On the way home, one of the neighbors returned Second's scarf to them, and since then... Green has never taken it off...

Months passed... Not one of them was well... Yellow had a lot of insomnia, every time they slept they just remembered the accident... Blue was drinking a lot, sometimes in the house, sometimes out... Red didn't leave the Second Coming's room, Every night he cried, forcing others to sleep with him or comfort him... Purple went into a horrible depression, he already had it but now it just got worse, constantly causing himself pain to forget about the pain of not having Second to spare Green was... In the worst situation... He was numb... Didn't talk, didn't eat, much less sing... His favorite thing was music and even that doesn't make him happy... Not one of them were happy... Their close friends visited them every week to help them, Dark offered his therapist to them but they still didn't want it, well yellow that was the most logical...

The days passed, one thing that irritated them was that the man behind the wheel was not punished! He was drunk at night, so his sentence was reduced to a fine and a ban on driving. That childhood Green who wanted him to pay for what happened to Second. Green started drinking too and having nightmares, hearing things and... Voices... Voices that told him he was useless, that he failed to protect the Second and will fail again to protect others! This made him stressed and nervous, one night he went out without telling the others and was wandering the city during the rain, he was going to a bar but ended up hearing a familiar voice in the alley By irony of fate... It was the man who caused the accident with the Second...

At that moment, Green pissed... The voices began to speak Again...

"it's his fault.... He took Second Coming from you... HE.HAS.TO.PAY...”

Green couldn't control himself anymore... He wanted to make that man pay, he wanted him to suffer the consequences of his actions.... He wanted him DEAD! He walked to the man who recognizes him and starts laughing, he was drunk, "ah, you're one of the colorful ones that were whining because one of you died right??” He speaks in a mocador tone staggering from the alcohol "Look here kid, it's not my fault your partner hit my car!! Also, you guys have to pay for damages and to return my car to me!!" Green didn't answer, in slow steps and head down just approaching and shaking fingers, "look kid if you don't want to get hurt better go home!!" The man raises the hand that held the bottle, threatening to attack Green. But Green holds his hand and hits her on the wall breaking the bottle into pieces and pushing the man to the ground, the man tries to get away from Green but he jumps on him putting his hands on his neck. He seconds the man can see Green eyes, pure hate...

Green blinks... He opened his eyes to find himself on top of the man... Dead... Smothered by his own hands... Green panics and gets off him panting and horrified. "N-no!! What did I do?? I-I... I-I killed him??" He starts crying in Panic covering his face.

“He killed Second first! He deserved it!" The voices came back, surrounding Green's head, "y-yeah... He took Second from me!!" Green for a second nods, but then starts to deny, "N-no!! I killed someone!! This is wrong!!" He covers his ears trying not to hear, but it was as if the voices were inside his head, "Don't be an idiot Green!! I thought I loved Second!! He would hurt you!! It was self defense!! And also... If he's capable of hurting the Second and you... Who's to say if he can't hurt others too...?" This makes Green's eyes widen... He gets up, looks at the man's body and moves away from him, he bumps into someone and looks back.... "Yellow.!?"

Yellow were after Green when they saw him leave the house. They didn't see everything but knew that was the man who caused Second's death, they start walking backwards to let Green respond, Green grabs their arm trying to explain but Yellow tries to run away Green doesn't notice, but in seconds he pushes yellow against it and appears forcefully. Yellow fell unconscious to the ground, the back of his head was injured and Green started to panic, he takes them in his arms, they look one last time at the man and start running towards the Hospital.

A few hours later, yellow woke up feeling a huge pain in his head, they blinked, they could see Blue and the others. "B-Blue..?" Blue looked at them excitedly, "yellow!!" He places his palm on their faces gently, "my Alan, what happened??" Yellow opens her mouth but... "I... I don't remember..." Everyone looks at yellow confused, "I just remember that I left, but I don't remember why or what happened afterwards..." They put their hand on their head in pain, "ca Calm! Green didn't speak... You were attacked!" Yellow panics, "by whom??" They question a little nervously, "by the man who killed Sec..." Yellow could see Green trembling in the back of the room. "He attacked you out of nowhere! He was drunk and... II saw you and had to do something!! I freaked out..." He starts crying, "I-I think I killed him!!" Red and Purple comfort him, yellow tries to get up panting, "Shhhh, calm down Yelly... The police only gave him a sentence of a few weeks... It was self defense after all!" He comforts Yellow who held his hand in a calming manner. Green spent nearly hours crying while the others made him comfortable. But in his head... He was just saying it was the best choice... Yellow didn't need to know... Not one of them needed to know the truth, at least he managed to get away with the self defense claim... and he did! The man's body was found with his DNA, and Green was able to come out with self-defense and an order for him to have a therapist, to take care of his mental state. No one ever suspected the truth...

After all, he was the kindest and kindest person in the neighborhood... He would never kill someone in cold blood... Right?

Since then... Green has never been the same, dedicated to protecting those he loves... Even if it cost him his sanity...

After all... He knew what he was doing...
