hi j!!! ive been wanting to post some hockey poetry but im not quite sure how to start. how do you make your edits? is there a program that you prefer to use to make the edits?

hi. photoshop is good for the most part. sometimes if im feeling lazy i just use the edit function in the photos app (mac). i use google slides (yea.. i know) to figure out which order to put the pictures in & to mess around w where to put the text. its the easiest way ive found to do it but its nothing fancy.

finding pictures is often more time consuming than the actual editing process. it helps to figure out which photographers you like. im a len redkoles girlie so i typically start by searching for the name of the team or athlete + len redkoles. the leafs and panthers have great photographers too, so searching for your player + Toronto/Florida can sometimes get you good results. playoff pics usually have great emotion so i try to stick to those if i can.

at the end of the day tumblr dot com will butcher the quality of your pictures AND mute the colours. publish your edit as a draft before you post it so you can see what you need to correct or exaggerate.

Don't worry, please feel free to ask questions about gifmaking stuff I always love to help fellow creators, I'm not the best person when it comes to explaining things but I always recommend this nice tutorial as it covers all the bases and is quite similar to what I do which is basically:

- Use the best quality videos you can get your hands on

- Sharpen your gifs!!! You can check my fav actions and their settings on my faq tab of my about page

- Make sure you're making the gifs in the correct sizes for tumblr, the tutorial I liked previously has a guide to the usual sizes

You haven't used insta since like 2018? Well..... Things changed... ALOT. Insta is my "main" social and I've been using it since late 2020 and let's just say... People on insta don't have like HALF of the respect people on Tumblr do. You don't usually find a homophobic person here on Tumblr and if you do they are probably being made fun of and being called out but people on insta (mainly on meme pages and on the "reels" comment sections) are genuinely a whole OTHER breed of abnormally bigoted. From the insane amount of normalized homophobia/transphobia/racism/xenophobia/misogyny ect to straight up pedophiles to people LITERALLY trying to spell the n word individually in the comment section of reels should generally give you the idea that insta is wild; arguably more wild than Twitter (then again Twitter users and Tumblr users are the same breed of people) most people you meet on insta are probably incels unless you go to very specific spaces (mostly fandom spaces) and those are probably the only spaces where people have common sense. Needless to say insta is wild and you probably won't survive a week in there. Also they butcher the quality of your posts badly so that's not a pleasant thing either

idk if this Works i just havent seen live at all today, but also even before i did this i never had to snooze it - it just showed up and removed itself from my home bar randomly anyway, and was extremely infrequent on my dash besides , which is why im not 100 percent sure it did anything . im like 70 percent sure but also im usually wrong about things

anyway this is um . how to remove tumblr live (maybe . unclear . not promised)

u will need :

android device . have tumblr installed

back up anything and everything on ur device , esp stuff ud die over losing . and back it up again . nothing should break at all rly , but if it does , i warned u

install luckypatcher and follow all the directions and whatever . if u dont want to install apks like this or trust it at all , ur journey ends here . if smth on ur phone breaks - it didnt on mine and shouldnt - be prepared 2 take responsibility 4 that . (its like messing with control panel or CMD on a pc, if ur not sure what ur doing or dont know how to fix it if something breaks or arent prepared 2 just deal with it , then dont start in the first place . u should always keep a backup of ur data anyway tho tbh , modding or not . factory resetting fixes most issues )

gather ur will 2 take responsibility for whether this is a win or a loss

preparation complete

once ur done with that , heres where we get into murky territory because i was literally just fucking around . u should see a list of ur apps when alls said and done - search tumblr and tap it . i think what removed tumblr live was "apk with changed permissions and activities", but what i did was : apk with multi patch > check "remove ads" "support patch for inapp and lvl emulation" and "apk with changed permissions and activities" > rebuild the app .

on the next screen, uncheck "remove links" and "offline patch"

u can ignore this if u want , i wasnt able to like use this to trick tumblr into thinking i paid , but maybe u can idk

heres where the juicy shit is . i literally disabled anything that had "ad" in it, but i believe the meat of the tumblr live stuff is anything with "io.wondrous" or "live" in it . i also disabled a whole bunch of other stuff like the shops - only the links at the top of the settings menu are still there for me, but they dont go anywhere . idk how to disable ui elememts like that </3 figuring it out

heres all the stuff i disabled . no hiccups with the regular like-reblog-view-blog cycle , ofc the stuff disabled here doesnt work . tumblr butchered the quality of the long sc, just save it n look at it in ur gallery

anyway once uve disabled all that and whatever else looked fishy or whatever, "rebuild the app" . wait for it to finish .

choose uninstall and reinstall . old tumblr byebye

thats abt it . i did a whole bunch of weird tapping around idr but this should be what did it . if it removed live for u cool !! if it didnt im sosorry </3 jfjfjdjdj

hi, i'm really confused and hoping you can help me out. i have seen people write "please do not save my gifs to your computer" on their gif-hunts, but that's how i've always done it to add into replies and threads. does this mean they want us to go into html and paste in the link manually? if so, isn't that a complete waste of time, and why?

hi, it's skye. (technically goodmorning for me!) and no worries at all, i'm always down to help... and in this case i think i can alleviate some confusion. i'm from the og day where not saving your gifs and trying to link them into threads would absolutely butcher the post and usually the gif would be force-stretched to a 500px wide one, so for me it's very natural to save and post gifs in that way. first and easiest; i think the reason why this rule is being used is because, if you don't save it to your computer you can't edit/redistribute/steal, or at least it makes it harder to do so. and on your main question, i don't believe that their intention is extra html coding and stuff at all, because from what i believe (and have done myself) you can right click on the gif intended for use and select "open in new tab", copy the url and directly paste it into your post... and, despite its faults tumblr will automatically load it in without warping the aspect ratio, quality, etc.    there is probably a quicker way to do it than the way i am, but i’ll have to ask you to hit someone else up with that question because... ur dinosaur does not know i have started doing this when i am using resources that are not my own (read: not saved on my computer) because it saves a loooooot of space on your computer tbh 💁🏽‍♀️😅

Hello everyone 🤍

It's been long since I left my last post here. Last post was Valentine's Day 2022. Then university took over, and a large project to go. Very large indeed, which was submitted two days before the deadline. It was extended for some weeks. This benefitted me.

Playing both Sims 3 and 4, trying to keep up with both, I'm getting more and more creative each day. On the second one, on Friday noon, I received my second Maxis fave. After learning and learning and still learning, much more to learn, I was waiting a year and six months to receive one. This made me more than excited and happy, always on the run to respond to all comments. I no longer care about negativity and irrelevance. I try to avoid it or reply to them in a nice way.

...Since this little explanation is Sims 4 related, I'm either trying to post Sims 3 stuff or keep up with both games, mention one of them... uh never mind.

When it comes to 4th of July, I never forget my Tumblr showcase. OF COURSE would I not prepare my readers for this special day? OF COURSE I've kept you all in mind. But this year, instead of the usual "female sim creations" I used to do, I've tried out something different. It WAS hard to make, you get me used on this, it's my kind, a habit I'm used to for years, whenever I create.

This year, this time, I made a male sim and the result turned out satisfying.
