If you've been following me for any amount of time you know that l'm not really that into celebrities relationships. Like if they're public about it and it's especially cute l'm only human y know, I'll be like "Wow that's so cute I love that for them"

But l'm on the verge of tears from *karma is the guy or the chiefs coming straight home to me" 😭😭😭😭 and the way that man BLUSHED?!?! Her dad looking at him and going "that's you big guy"?!?! 😭😭😭😭😭

Y'all, truly, to have been a fan of Taylor's for so long, to have seen most of her relationships play out in public - seeing a current partner being so publicly and loudly proud of her, letting her be the star she is, is just??? So???? Nice? Like he seems so secure and comfortable with himself and his own career and he has no problem being like “hey man, I’m just following her. She’s the star here” is so nice. The way they both support each other and loudly cheer each other on is so sweet and exactly what a partnership should look like. If anyone deserves a partner who is supportive and proud of her and to be with her, but doesn’t need her to be successful, it’s Taylor. She deserves a nice boy who will be good to her.

I finally know what my Roman Empire is! It’s Taylor Swift’s personal life & mental health before the reputation era because my god, was that poor girl going through it.

John Mayer - potentially abusive dynamic/situation with an age & power imbalance

Jake Gyllenhaal - shitty, emotionally manipulative relationship with an age & power imbalance

Connor Kennedy - weird relationship with an age & power imbalance (she jumped from those two to this kid, was this just her trying get some of her power back & being like “yeah this is totally fine and normal and what happened to me was totally fine and normal” and then she woke up one day and realized she was 21 dating a 17 year old boy and was like “…fuck, maybe that wasn’t normal”???)

Somewhere around this time HER PARENTS GET DIVORCED, I believe cheating was the allegation

Harry Styles enters the picture and apparently their relationship was much more tumultuous than we knew

Her eating disorder enters the chat!!!

Keep in mind arrested development is at play here and the trauma of just being her & existing as a massive celebrity in this era

And this all plays into my fascination with the fact that Taylor has established herself a little trail of cheating on romantic partners while at the same time being a hopeless romantic like?? Bestie this is the antithesis to so many things about who you are as a person I understand people can have layers but like fuck, are you good? Are you usually this self destructive or is it a coping mechanism??? If her parents really did get divorced because someone cheated, and then she found out Harry was cheating and was like “😤 well fine, I can do it too 😤😤” and she just didn’t examine that any further because well if a parent did it, clearly it’s just a genetic flaw & it’s not her fault 🤷‍♀️

We’ll never know the answers to any of my questions until she’s like 70 and writes a tell-all, or one comes out when she’s dead, and I just wonder if she ever got to talk to someone about all of that. Because I would consider myself a relatively well-adjusted person, and I would’ve probably unalived myself somewhere around the ED spiraling. That’s a lot of shit to carry.
