We don't know exactly what either of those AUs are, but we'd be happy to listen!

What's the main concept/idea?

So my priestesses AU is basically my excuse to do my own pre-first calamity worldbuilding and origin of the dragons in BOTW. It’s centered around the old religion with the golden goddesses where each piece of the triforce is being guarded by blessed priestesses of each of the three goddesses. Link with the triforce of courage, the representative of Farore, Zelda with wisdom representing Nayru, and Impa with the triforce of power representing Din. They also get extra power from their goddess.

Also Link isn’t the chosen hero of the time, their cowardly twin brother is. They also have a younger sister who works with them at the spring of courage. Their whole family is half Zonai and Link has a funny relationship with the Zonai queen Midna. But I might have them marry a Gerudo Chief to make it so Urbosas powers were inherited from them.

HSFR is just my own little links meeting AU, I have a tag for it bc I’ve posted a bit about it lol.

this au is based on the idea of reader being their own god/goddess who has an issue with yanderes in the legend of zelda timeline. The au was created from an ask that I got. There isn’t much posted for it now, but I have more in the works.

The ask that started it all (you are close friends and allies to the first hero, but disaster strikes when Hylia takes it upon herself to save you by encasing your body and soul inside of a weapon.)

Star and Sun would definitely be in the main cast of this AU if I could just figure out WHERE in the timeline their games would fit!!

Star and Sun are the heroes of light from BS The Legend of Zelda and Ancient Stone Tablets. Their Zelda would be named Moon (get it? starlight, sunlight, moonlight). They’re twins: Star is the boy with the teal hair and baseball cap and Sun is the girl with the red hair

They were separated at birth and were raised by different people (somehow both being named Link?) until they meet on their first adventure at 13 years old and found out they were twins, from then they fought both of their adventures together and they have been inseparable since. I think they’d be a really fun duo to write because I love sibling dynamics.

Their games are non canon and were basically only released in Japan which is Fine because it gives me more creative liberty

But the Problem is

Where would they go timeline-wise??? AST occurs 6 years after ALTTP because Legend is absent for some reason. So maybe the Oracle games and Link’s Awakening happens in the six years before AST right?

And BS is basically LOZ1 (which is set way after Legend’s lifetime) so BS could occur maybe around the same time, probably before. But then what about Clover who does ALBW and Triforce Heroes? If Star and Sun do BS and AST, when would Clover go on his adventures? Would Star and Sun be the holders of the heroes spirit before or after Clover???

It hurts my brain… Maybe I’ll just make another timeline split after Link’s Awakening because I can. If someone has an idea, I’d love to hear your thoughts!

HELLO(I just got from my nap, sorry for the wait)

FOR THE FIRST QUESTION

All heroes, instead of having a triforce, they have a shard of First’s gem, also called the Shards of Courage. These shards are made of basically just Light because that was Hylia’s parting gift, to make his shards shine brighter than the morning sky. Ask the chain, except Sky, they fucking hate it. It’s Sky’s nightlight by the way. It’s like a naturally made flash bang. It’s an activation thing, so it’s not always there.

I don’t know why I explained that last part but whatever.

I actually haven’t thought about how they met, but I suppose we could stick with the iconic dream montage. Like, they all pass out randomly and suddenly First is talking to them like, “Hyrule needs her heroes to assemble and-“ blah blah blah

A lot of them probably ignore him, but some days later, when they all end up through a portal, surrounded by each other with their bright ass shards, they definitely believe the magic dream man.

SECOND QUESTION

Time is a fusion between Fierce and Mask

I should also clarify that Majora and Fierce were never masks, their gems were put in stasis. Skull Kid and Mask were able to gem those gems out of stasis(I didn’t think about how yet) and I guess the final fight was like a Pokemon fight and I love that idea so much but it’s also so stupid-

SO WHAY HAD HAPPENED WAS, AFTER THE BIG TERMINA FIASCO,

Mask and Fierce were going to part ways, but Fierce has been in stasis for so long, he knew that the surface had changed. Not only that, but being in stasis for so long made him weak. It made Majora and Fierce weaker than they used to be.

So Mask, still in a existential crisis, was like “we can be travelers together then” because mask didn’t want to seem like he used Fierce (even though he kinda did) so he offered to be travelers together with Fierce.

My boy Fierce took that “together” the wrong way and kinda forced Mask to fuse with him.

THEN BOOM, TIME EXISTS

Mask is kind of shaken like, “What the fuck?”

Fierce is kinda like, “Isn’t this what you meant?”

Mask is like, “No!” Mask then uses they mirror shield. “I mean…”

So now they’ve been fused for a good while. They also just feel safer inside the fusion because they know that if one fumbles, the other has their back.

I also have a feeling that no gem truly knows what it means to be married, so when marriage was proposed to Time, he was kinda just-🧍🏼‍♂️

Then Malon(I’m keeping her human…hylian) explained it sort of like, “Marriage is like promising to be best friends forever-“

“Then me and Fierce are married?”

“NO-“

THIRD QUESTION

I would give the Goddesses Diamonds. Nayru gets Blue, Farore gets Yellow, Din gets White, Hylia gets Pink.

Hylia gets pink because she is all over the place. But she is actually shattered too. She shattered herself after First got shattered so her shards(Shards of Wisdom) could be beside First’s for all eternity. You know Demise’s hating ass shards(Shards of Power) are also there, tearing shit up🥰🥰🥰

The other diamonds, Nayru, Farore, and Din, just monitor what the shard wielders are doing and making sure Hyrule doesn’t fall in on itself.

FORTH QUESTION

Yes, Ravio was born in the same Kindergarten as Legend. The same hole too. He was made after Legend though and came out “deformed”. Physically, Ravio doesn’t look really deformed, but other amethysts disagree. He’s skinnier and weaker and far more in the mind(smarter) than he should be.

That being said, my boy did not have fun while trying to serve his diamond. So he ran away. He attempted many times to run away, in turn, he was kind of tortured by his “siblings”. Don’t worry, there’s no crack, but other amethyst would forgive and forget in a solid three human years, but Ravio? Those nights are engraved into him gem.

In order to truly escape, he had the help of an opal(Hilda) they kinda just hang out together until they find another amethyst(Legend) on earth and started spying on him and WOW ANOTHER GAME INCOMING

I'm so sorry anon the name is a misnomer. There's tax evasion, yes, but that's incidental to the regicide. The name stuck. I can't change it I don't make the rules.

Anyway the premise is that the Triforce Trio are born as siblings, they're fated enemies blah blah -- and then it turns out the King of Hyrule is really shitty so Link is like, 'I think we should have a revolution!' and Ganondorf and Zelda end up calling a truce so they can make sure their stupid lil baby sibling survives the coup (spoiler alert: Link is a really competent revolutionary leader for a 12 year old).

Various notes:

In my head, this is mostly a Ganondorf and Zelda sibling bonding drama (Link is doing completionist side quests in the background and kinda solos the entire revolution)

Zelda's the secret illegitimate daughter of the King. She doesn't know this until she's stabbing the guy.

Link gets 100% of his political leanings from talking to a Hylian farm girl complaining about the Kingdom taking all their milk for taxes. This is where the tax evasion came from. Lon Lon Ranch goes rogue.

Ganondorf wants to become the king of thieves. Then Link suggests regicide, and he realizes, "whoa, I can totally set my sights higher!" He's living a whole ass political thriller on the side.

Zelda accidentally becomes Robin Hood.

Man, all this talk of LoZ makes me remember all those AUs where everything is as it is because someone messed up the wording of the prophecy. Like since it's three powers of the world all three are supposed to be in balance and not in actual conflict with one another. Thus, why everything keeps going the way it does since Power keeps getting corrupted because there is no support for Ganon from the other two when it's needed.

Which makes me eye the siblings holding the triforce really hard because imagine...Things go bad because people thought they had to be separated, which allows corruption and the infection to take root because they were not kept together, and Hollow gets sealed because they think they're "protecting" Hollow and the triforce of Wisdom, but they're making it worse because now they're even more unbalanced due to this and what they think is Hornet or Ghost coming in to wreck things because that's what the prophecy says is meant to happen in their minds. When it's more they want their siblings back and are about to go feral on everyone to get it done.

And it then leads in to either the siblings trying to explain to people that no, none of them are evil, stop listening to whoever is telling you all this. Or them peacing out and then maybe Pale King actually goes to wherever the prophecy is being held and finds out someone was trying to change what would have lead to a bright future for Hallownest to its ruin by making them interpret things wrong. Which could then lead to him having to find and apologize, and try and fix things for not only the siblings but for his kingdom as a whole.

Bonus if the other vessel babies are just running wild because they didn't get the powers of the triforce, and some of them end up taking roles like the sages or oracles, but also just being Done with everything because stupid prophecy blind people keep ruining the attempts at the sibling reunion.

and im thinking another AU in where a third god (player) existed and she was the original guardian of the triforce, and Demise little sibling, but they were the inocence in person, and Hylia was jealous of them, so she gaslight them into giving her the triforce, making Demise mad, so he tried to avenge his siblling, the war happend, he lost, Hylia manipulate history, First new the truth, so thats why she let him die in the surface, player had to make a deal with Hylia, player will take care of Hyrule, but can't save Hyrule if this one is treathen by a god or a monster, but they can help a little, so they became the guide of the heroes, never revealing their identity to the heroes, until they end in Ender's (Link form last hero AU) Hyrule and Diana (Villain of the last Hero AU) reveals the true, and Ender actually knows player, but she always mistake them for a priestess that watched over the triforce and looked after the welfare of Hyrule when Ganon came back.

Fuck Hylia honestly.

kinda writing this down for myself

LOZ au where zelda, link, and ganondorf are siblings in the royal family. Ganondorf is actually half siblings with zelda and link, who are twins (zelda is older but a few minutes of course lol).

They are each blessed with their respective triforce and goddess. Ganondorf with din and power, Link with Farore and courage, and zelda with nayru and wisdom.

lots of sibling fluff but lots of family issue (mainly with the parents, mom is kind of an ass to link and shows indifference to ganon and puts a lot of pressure/tough love on zelda, dad is off fighting a war or smth lol), main angst factor is that link is still cursed with the hero's spirit, ganondorf with demise, and zelda with the spirit of hylia.

What do you say to a giving a little more lore on the priestesses AU?

I WOULD LOVE TO

first of all, some things need to be adjusted for totk, and that means I have to share a different theory that I have that's kind of independent from the priestesses au.

The idea that the Zonai weren't the only race that disappeared. I think that probably at the same time as the Zonai there were a race that lived almost exclusively in the depths and were able to manipulate the darkness. (see Thypho ruins in botw) they could be what form the ancient hero took, (bc that magical fursuit does not look like any zonai we know, the tail, the ears, the hair, etc...)

That way there could still be a connection to the Twili, (also since Midna's and Zant's helmets are down there). It really bothered me that the Zonai suddenly came from the sky and looked like goat people and what little we knew about them was shattered. But if there were a race that cooperated with the Zonai in the depths, a mirrored world of the surface, blanketed in pitch darkness, that may have disappeared alongside them, and after thousands of years had been forgotten entirely, that makes sense to me.

The priestesses au is largely centered around creating a backstory for the three elemental dragons in botw, and so totk... made me have to make more changes for it to make sense. Originally the AU was supposed to happen a hundred years after the first calamity, like how botw happens a century after the second and final calamity. The plot was going to be that just like in the future, even with all the tech and the might of the champions and the princess and the hero, the calamity still wasn't quite sealed. It still had influence and a wanting to take the triforce from its chosen guardians.

But in totk the whole idea of the dragons was kind of explained (though I'm not sure if the dragons appeared in any past cutscenes or if Zelda was kind of 'the first'. I have a feeling due to the abundance of massive skeletal remains, the dragons aren't as immortal as they seem and there were more of them than just the four that we know about)

So, that just means that I now have a method of how the priestesses became the dragons. Perhaps after Ganondorf was sealed, more secret stones were discovered and given to those of extraordinary power, or perhaps they were just a last resort to keep the sacred springs and the goddesses that they represented safe. There was a reason calamity ganon tried to take over Naydra (Zelda) but wasn't able to fully control her. Her divinity was too much to turn her into a threat against Link. I have a feeling he would've tried to go after the other dragons but after the first one, knew it was a losing battle.

Or, they could be the reason draconification was banned in the first place and they turned before Hyrule was even a kingdom. Perhaps there used to be nine secret stones (Rauru/Zelda's- Light/Time, Sonia/Ganondorfs- Time/Gloom, Sages- Lightning, Fire, Wind, and Water, plus three more for the dragon trio) and the Zonai, who wanted to keep the secret stones within reach, banned the practice. After all, dragons don't really do much other than vibe and a secret stone is much more useful to have available.

Now, enough of that, it's kinda boring, let's get to the good shit, I want to talk about Ravio being the equilibrium between darkness and light, out of the rest of his siblings, he's the one who takes on the most 'twili' traits, he has the greatest grasp over darkness, which he uses to conceal his face, and his hair glows the brightest. And he's the one chosen to wield the sword that seals the darkness. I think it's important to note how the character of Link as the hero is always kind of a sponge of the magic and people around him, so Ravio is no different. He's the balance of the darkness and the light, and the magic prowess and the skill with a sword that it's important for the hero to have.

Every other character has a more clear delineation of skills, they have more extreme strengths and weaknesses but Ravio is made to be a little more adaptable, he is the duality that is needed to be the hero. He knows when to run and hide in the shadows, and he knows when to fight. He just has to learn that his nature of being a jack of all trades is a good thing rather than being disappointed that he can't seem to get good at one specific thing like all the people around him.

So I think the resurrection chamber stoped his body from aging, like, completely. Like time stoped for the body.

Like I absolutely love the elderich soul aus where Wild is not Link, but just inhabits the dead man’s Body??? Like that’s my fucking bread and BUTTER. MMM all the good flavors.

So Wild was not aware that she is in fact, part Gerudo due to a permanent curse on said body, the curse would eventually fade due to use over time but it never happened. Link went back first.

Wild, before being born, finds and kicks Ganandorfs ass, rightfully taking the triforce of power for itself (another headcanon is that only a Gerudo “male” or in other words “one of Ganon’s linage” (because all the males have been Ganon, so it’s another name for a male Gerudo) may hold the triforce of Power)

So. Wild has both the triforce of power and courage, basically sacrificing his timeline body to seal and break down the Malice (not to completely destroy it but anything helps) and becoming a spirit for a full 20 min before they wake up as Baby.

Also the Gerudo do not know about Wild’s existence, momma had some issues with the currant social norms that Gerudo were expected to hold so they left to travel.

Wild in this is actually a year younger (physically) then Zelda, so heheh there’s that.

Uhhh Wild knows how to play a multitude of instruments, and knows a lot of languages (all the native languages and common, even some from outside the kingdom)

But he did not know Hyruleian until she met the chain, and they all took a turn trying to teach the gremlin…….

They have the most complicated and messy dialect of everyone. Flora tried to figure out where it is from, but couldn’t place it. Eventually Wild told her.

Wild refers to the 100 year old Zelda as Flora as she really learned how to stand on her own, and became a little (older?) sister to them. The currant young Zelda hasn’t quite fit into the role yet. (Maybe another name? Probably not. It’ll be a character growth thing. She needs to break through the trauma to even start assessing the damages)

Another thing on the Fierce thing: after the bbeg was defeated, there was this time where the entire group ended up in the holy/god realm as Time was getting the rundown the Chain met Hylia face to face, yes she’s their other mother other then Malon. Legend is like that grumpy kitten that’s sulking. He gets a hug don’t worry.

And because Wild is a priest, she can talk to any of the gods their close to, which includes the main three, Hylia, Time, Fierce, and the other Priests. (Sometimes Sun if he concentrates hard enough)

Which means when the king is digging into Zelda, Wild is over here side eyeing Hylia like “Bruh what do I do-“ and she’s like “Kick his ass” “not yet”

Wild is determined to help Zel in any way it can, be it through giving her flowers, reviving Terico (the egg, no I don’t know how to spell it), and just generally trying to make her life easier.

Wild also wants desperately to kidnap Zel and let her not only sleep, but actually teach her how to tap into the goddess.

(Healing first, then trust, then building up magic reserves, then doing actual shit)

Wild loves the champions, ace wild strikes again when it comes to Mipha, she kinda reminds him of Hyrule. So like….. no. Deruk is like a brother to him and he cares about- Urbosa he respects and reminds her of her mother. Rivali Wild has decided is not worth the energy at this point, and exclusively calls him Ravioli.
