Digimon Adventure 02: THE BEGINNING countdown! Day 6: Hikari and Tailmon

Another one for @digimon02countdown uwu Finally I have an excuse (?) to draw Hikari and Tailmon in Miyuki and Renamon's places~ so yes, I used Miyuki and Renamon as pose reference for them (flipped Renamon's pose tho).

The next episode of Digimon Adventure 02, "THE BEGINNING" hits japanese cinemas this October 27th 2023. The gate for a new adventure opens now!

I could ramble here about how Hikari, Miyuki, Tailmon and Renamon are in similar roles but also, I firmly believe they are completely different so, let's leave it in "I'm forcing my oshis to be in the same pose" :D

I made another character mod for World of Horror. This time, it's Kari Kamiya (Hikari Yagami)!

I decided to go a little further and decided to make useable main, house, back, and chibi portraits for the alternate costumes. If you wish to use them instead of the tri. costume (which is the default costume), be sure to edit the appropriate lines in the "character_kari.ito" file when you download the mod.

#octopath traveler 2 #octopath traveler ii #satsuhart #crossover #i dont have like a super deep explanation for every pokemon choice but #for castti i wanted two grass pokemon to represent like medicinal/hazardous concoctions #throne... the seviper represents the blacksnakes obviously but i think itd be nice if pirro had a zangoose to match or smth #for temenos and ampharos i think its dex entries about being a beacon for lost people is nice... and it evolves from a sheep #hikari pretty self explanatory but specifically i think itd be nice if he had a bisharp while mugen had a kingambit it suits them a lot #for ochette i did consider choosing pokemon based on the 3 legends but that would be leaving out mahina akala fdjkha #= decidueye and lycanroc... the arcanine i just think it suits her but also master juvah shaped #oricorio baile was a natural fit for agnea and i think bellossom suits her homeland being the leaflands too #partitio... wild stallion.. gkjfh but i think given that he invents trains itd be good if his team was transportation-based...#delibird i think its just a nice fit for him bc of how it gives out gifts and stuff #for osvald i mostly picked porygon z and magnezone bc they learn tri attack naturally... theyre all scholar ish (?) anyway #also gave everyone unique pokeballs bc i wanted to #oh also for the first pic i didnt draw gallade on purpose bc it takes damage from sandstorms <:)#octo2

DIGIMON FACT OF THE DAY:

While not mentioned in the English dub of the anime, Kari's full name is unsurprisingly confirmed to be "Hikari Kamiya" in the official English translations of the Digimon tie-in manhua released by Tokyopop. So just like her brother & some of the other DigiDestined, her English name is simply a nickname.

BUT WAIT!

The same is also suprisingly true for the Zero-Two DigiDestined!

So yeah, better update those wiki pages! Only Daisuke's friends can call him Davis!

My last few tries on Helmetless Beast Out Gregar always felt off to me, so I wondered if I should've adjusted Hub's hair. All I really had to do was turn the "mane" into "spikes" to complete the head shape.

I can only draw it nicely a total of 2 times at once.

#I made them spikes before but I tried to keep the thickness of the original “mane” so much that it looked heavy and weird #so I went with metal man looking things and it looked instantly better #I also considered doing an additional spike towards the bottom but the shape then looked too busy #besides hub's actual hair makes up for that anyway #well anywho yeah I don't know what happens #I got such a Great Grip on the design the first few takes then I instantly forget it :)#that's what working full shifts does to your memory #but I think continuing to scribble it loosely helps :>#doodle-daas #megaman.exe #megaman exe #rockman exe #hub hikari #saito hikari
