yourusername my baby boy daddy sir boyfriend went to the rocket mortgage classics a couple days ago and my best friend number two was his caddy (and i was his trophy almost wife)!

i got sunburned (dw trevy is taking care of me ;)) but my boys had fun together so it was worth it! i don’t understand golf, but trevor was happy at the end of the day, so WOOOO GOD BABY!!! SO PROUD OF YOU, KING! (he tries to explain it, but i simply cannot. i prefer to sit and look pretty)

the day was filled of me catcalling and teasing them and that obviously added to the amazing day we all had!

Pairing: Trevor Zegras x Reader

Summary: You comfort your boyfriend after his outburst for being ejected from his final game of the season.

Warnings: angst, temper tantrum Trevor, sad!trev, angry!trev, hockey fighting, slight argument, yelling, cursing, haters, pressure, negative self talk, comfort, fluff by the end.

Chaos

It was a mess.

The fans were screaming and pounding their fists on the glass— they were either screaming in joy and amusement or anger and frustration.

However, you sat up at the premium box where the players’ family and friends were seated— the WAGS notoriously which you were a part of for a long time now.

You remained at the edge of your seat, confused.

You had no idea what had happened.

It happened too quickly that you were sure you had a whiplash.

One minute the two teams were playing and then the next they were in a huge pile pushing and fighting each other— your boyfriend being at the very center of that fight.

Craning your neck up at the big screen to see a close up of what was happening, you see your boyfriend on top of one of the opposing players— the two throwing punches at each other.

Fighting was normal in hockey— it was not something new to see, especially from Trevor but you knew that this was something entirely different by the look on your boyfriend’s face.

He was furious.

You didn’t even know that you were gripping on to your seat so tight as you watched the screen.

The other WAGS were comforting you as you gnawed on your lower lips that you were sure it was bleeding, just like Trevor was.

He was bleeding.

“Son of a bitch.” You muttered under your breath in concern and frustration seeing the cut on your boyfriend’s forehead.

You hated seeing him hurt.

Yet it didn’t end there because even when the two were held back by the referees and their teammates in opposite sides they were still yelling at each other— Trevor more so.

You couldn’t really hear their argument obviously but you could make out a few “fuck yous” and a “you’re a fucking bitch” coming out of Trevor’s mouth.

The referees were not having it and decided the two should be put in the penalty box but as they were being escorted there— Trevor’s mouth kept going and going.

Asking the referee over and over again “what is the penalty for?”, “what did I do?”

And then finally…

“Fuck you! You don’t know shit! I didn’t do shit!”

To the referee’s face.

You knew Trevor was frustrated and angry, he has been for a while now this season but that was downright disrespectful.

Because of his words to the referee, they had announced for Trevor to be ejected from the game— the last game of this season.

You watched stoically as your boyfriend glided out of the ice to the tunnel where he was seen in the big screen throwing his hockey stick against the wall— hitting it again and again.

That was it for you— how can he be so stupid to do something like that?

You jumped out of your seat and headed out of the premium box.

You speed walked down the steps where the fans were seated and headed to the glass next to the tunnel.

You were aware of the stares and greetings the fans were giving you but you couldn’t give two shits at the moment— you nodded your head towards Jamie who was already watching you in concern once he saw the angry look on your face.

As you reached the door to the locker room, you promptly apologized to the security guard who was seen on screen scared shitless because of your boyfriend’s temper tantrum.

Pushing the doors of the locker room, you were greeted by Trevor who was seated on his cubicle— his head down as his hands covered his face, his gear now fully discarded on the floor.

The room was so silent that the only thing you could hear was Trevor’s heavy breathing.

“Trevor, what the fuck was that?!” You said placing yourself in front of him.

He remained quiet, his eyes still trained on the ground ignoring your presence.

“Trevor!”

Finally meeting your furious gaze with an even more furious gaze from him, he then snickered— grinning sarcastically as if what had just happened was a joke.

“What the fuck did you think happened, Y/N? I got checked and got a penalty, then I get ejected for God knows what for–” he started ranting in frustration before I cut him off.

“You both got a penalty for the fight, Trev— I don’t care about any of that. You got ejected for saying shit to the referee! Don’t lie to me, I could read you like a book.” You scolded him as you paced back and forth in front of him with your hands on your hips.

Trevor looked at you equally frustrated that you were frustrated at him.

“I was just asking him why I got the fucking penalty!” He shouted.

“No! You were being disrespectful and desperate— and don’t talk to me like that, Trevor Zegras! You can talk to your teammates and opponents like that for all I care but you do not fucking talk to me like that, you hear me?” You glared at him venom spilling out of your mouth.

With that said Trevor snapped back to reality, the demon that possessed him leaving his body. The anger slowly died down as he stared at you with guilt and sadness— your heart crying out for him.

“I’m sorry. I’m sorry I yelled at you baby.” He whispered, grabbing you hand as he pulled you to sit on his lap.

You snuggled on his chest as he held you so tight, as if he was afraid you would disappear.

“You we’re right. I was desperate, this season has been the worst one, baby. The pressure from the fans, from myself, the continuous losses, the hate from the media— I just lost it out there cause I knew this was the last game before playoffs and we obviously didn’t qualify. I was desperate, baby.” He sniffled as you let him let out his worries.

You have been dating Trevor for almost five years now and you knew how hard working he was, how much he loved hockey, and how good he was at it— when Trevor loves something, he loves hard which means he feels more, hence why he gets angry easily.

You couldn’t blame him. It’s a tough sport— he has every right to feel the way he feels.

“I know, my love. I’m not mad at you, I’m disappointed. Not because you got in a fight, fights are normal. I’m disappointed because you were being disrespectful. You were being disrespectful to the referee, you said mean stuff and he was only doing his job. Not to mention you scared the security guard when you were throwing your stick.”

Trevor nodded his head from the crook of your neck where he was placing kisses as some sort of silent apology from him.

“You want to be at the finals, I know— it’s your dream but you gotta understand that everyone in league wants it as much as you do, Z . Which is why you do what you do, it’s is why you compete every year for it. But as much as I hate to admit it, baby— it’s not your turn, it’s the harsh truth, you didn’t make it to the playoffs— you can’t keep beating yourself up because of it. You can’t change what already happened. What you can do is to be better not only as a player but as a person.” You told him softly as he rocked you both back and forth, still holding onto you tight.

“I know. I’ll be better, I promise— for you.” He looks at you with pure awe and adoration.

“Do it for you, Trev.”

Sighing he cups your face in his hand, caressing your cheeks as he studies your face before nodding.

“I will.” He whispered before clasping his lips onto yours.

His pain, his worries, and frustration all leaving his body as he kissed you.

“I love you so much, Y/N.”

“I love you more, Trev.”

FAITHLYNN’S 500 CELLY!

🌷: "I can't do anything right." & "Don't you ever do that again!" with Trevor

fights break out quick in hockey games. i knew that prior to dating Trevor, but what no one tells you is how a one minute fight can feel like an hour when the man you love is the one getting hit. i had hoped and prayed that this day would never come, that i would never have to witness my boyfriend getting punched on the ice, but apparently i didn’t pray hard enough because that day is today.

i’m forced to watch in fear as my lanky boyfriend is barely even able to get a punch in on the big guy he’s up against, the officials pull them away from each other quickly, but not quick enough because i can see the spots of blood dropping to the ice from my boyfriends face even from my seat. Trevor and the other player continue to chirp at each other as they’re pulled to their respective spaces, the Penguins player being pulled to the penalty box and Trevor being ushered away down the tunnel. my heart races as i fast-walk out of the stands and through Honda Center, flashing my credentials to the security as i make it to the dressing room, but there isn’t much i can do besides wait outside.

the five minutes it takes for someone to come out feel like forever, and it seems like the woman that steps out was expecting me, because she waves me in as she leaves. i step in, my eyes scanning the room until they lock on Trevor, who sits at his stall with his head in his hands. the tears that have been pricking at my eyes in worry finally ease, a couple slipping down my cheeks.

“don't you ever do that again!" i exclaim, dropping to my knees in front of him to force him to look at me. “you scared me half to death, Trevor! i was so worried!”

he chuckles at my outburst but i can tell it’s forced. he finally looks at me and i gasp at the sight of his busted lip and a bruise forming on his cheekbone.

“i’m fine, babe. it looks worse than it is.” he attempts to console me, but he still sounds off.

“hey.” i coo. “what’s going on in that pretty head of yours? what’s wrong?”

he sighs and looks up at the ceiling, blinking continuously.

“i can't do anything right.” he mutters. my brows furrow and i gingerly take his face in my hands, pulling his head back down for him to look at me.

“what are you talking about, baby?” i whisper, softly. he huffs out a frustrated breath.

“i’m talking about the fact that i got in a fight and i was barely even able to get a hit in on the guy! i don’t even know what i did to anger him so much! i wasn’t chirping, i didn’t cross-check anyone or anything, he just went at me.” he avoids my gaze as he speaks, tears welling in his eyes.

he reaches up to hold my face, his eyes softening.

“i love you.” he mutters, going to lean in for a kiss.

Ducks player Connor and Kings player Leon still find a way to sit together during the game. No one knows how Connor got into the Kings penalty box. He didn’t even get a penalty to begin with. The penalty box officer tried to shoo him out but got bitten and is now on his way to the hospital for a rabies shot. Leon tried to claim Connor was an emotional service animal so Connor could sit with him on the Kings bench. Anže said no. He was not bitten, but it was a close call. Trevor Zegras is on the ice complaining to the ref about being a child of divorce, Jaimie Drysdale is trying to get him to stop, but Leo Carlsson is in the background egging him on. After the game, Connor talks about how hard being a single mother is. Radko Gudas is wearing a shirt that says “I’m not the stepdad, I’m the dad who stepped up”. Leon has to announce that he does not have rabies on national television. Anže is tired and has started to seriously consider retirement effective immediately.

TOP 5* DUCKS MOMENTS OF THE SEASON THAT I PERSONALLY WITNESSED

*yes three of them are Zegras but he has major main character energy

5. Z talking to himself/his stick after missing a shot. I don’t know if he does this often and this is the only time I was close enough to see it, but me and my bestie were cracking up

4. Silfverberg getting a breakaway, but his stick snapping in half when he goes to shoot. As his self proclaimed bestie, I have to give him shit for the moments like this.

3. Z going absolute menace mode vs the Kings. After several games of no goals, him scoring then instantly getting into a fight and then still trying to fight while in the box and then getting a misconduct penalty was gold. That was our Trevor we missed.

2. Frank getting dog piled and then the shit beat out of him by the kings goalie Plus I got to witness a penalty I’ve never seen before of “hitting with blocking glove”.

1. Z stealing Kivi’s stick. My bestie and I have both been going to hockey games since we were wee ones and neither of us had seen that. Never change Trev, you keep us entertained.

yourusername welcome back to my post game penalty box update show, céline dion fans and non-céline dion fans! tonight was the ducks home opener and it was a doozy!

first i want to address that my lil quackies have now won their home opener 8 years in a row and are now 20-9-1 in their 30 year history for home openers! and if you’re like me and ✨love✨ stats, then you’ll be thrilled to learn that mr. frank “the tank” vatrano is the FIRST DUCK EVER TO SCORE A HAT TRICK IN THE HOME OPENER! shoutout to mason, who passed frankie the puck so that he could score the empty netter for the hatty, and made me cry at how sweet he was! (yes, they got good job forehead kisses because i love them soooo much!)

now, on to the fun stuff that you’re all here for! my future husband and baby daddy got his first penalty tonight, and oooo lordy, he looked fine! seriously, like, you think you all were freaking out about how hot he was in the box? imagine how i feel! he’s coming home to me!

his penalty was for “holding the stick” against aho (queue the boos) he did not agree with the penalty and made sure to scoff at the refs so that they knew they made a ridiculous call (i legally have to be on his side)

but get this— the penalty was called 11 seconds into z’s shift, it was the 6th official power play for the canes! we love! (we don’t love that it resulted in a c*nes goal though)

what was my favorite part of the game, you ask? it was the scrum, of course! my mans tried his best in holding back pesce, but he really just clung onto him as he got dragged around the scrum because he… is pocket sized compared to pesce. the 9th photo is of z clinging onto him from behind. i imagine pesce’s inner monologue was like “if the child will not move off me, then i shall move with the child. i am undeterred by the diminutive boy.”

ANYHOOZLE, i’m so proud of my boys! especially jamie baby, who now has back to back assists! this is your reputation era, jd! i love you endlessly <3

and to my z-baby, i’m perpetually proud of you and i’m sure you’ll do something productive soon! i love you, always💜 (and you look hot as fuck in purple) (you should buy more purple)

My favorite hockey headcanon 🤔 hmmmm how about I tell you about some of my favorite narratives. Like these things actually happened.

Danny Briere and Claude Giroux living together for two years in Philly and in Germany during lockout (a NHL Strike), sending out two Christmas cards with Danny’s kids and their names combined, and Claude redoing Danny’s guest room (not one he was living in). I just have questions on all of those apparently true details.

Also, narratively, Trevor Zegras saying publicly that he and his teammate, Jamie Drysdale, did everything together- “peed together, slept together”-and then Jamie getting traded the same week across the country. Trevor immediately getting hurt in his first game without him post-trade, and then, absolutely losing it in his first game back after surgery, getting multiple penalties and destroying a camera in penalty box. I’m just fascinated. There are layers here. Even more than this.

An off day ~ Trevor Zegras

a soft 767 word blurb of Trevor having an off day, but it all being okay when he comes home to his girlfriend. This is my first time writing on tumblr!

   Trevor felt off before the game had even started. As a professional athlete, he was well aware of what he needed to do to disregard this feeling and get into the zone. However, when he got pushed on the ice during the first play, causing him to fall, this did little to settle his unease. Now this was something Trevor had experienced countless times before, however this time, it felt different. 

   The end of the game was drawing near, and Trevor was on the ice. The other team had the puck, and they were nearing the Ducks goal! Trevor skated as fast as he could towards the goal, but he wasn't fast enough. Luckily, the goalie was able to stop the puck from entering the neck, and the team didn’t score. However, the player with the puck did not stop skating, ramming right into the goalie, rocking him backwards, causing him to hit his head on the top of the net, and crumple to the ground.

    Everyone knows, number one rule of hockey. Do not touch the other team's goalie. And of course, this just had to be the player who had knocked him down during the beginning of the game too. Fate just had a funny way of working out like that. Trevor rammed into this opposing player twice as hard as he was hit in the first play. He knew he was going to get a penalty, but he didn’t care, he just wanted to get home. Get out of this ice box and into the arms of the beautiful girl, waiting for him, probably in a soft, oversized Anaheim Ducks official sweatshirt. Now that would be a site. Eventually, the ref pulled him off of the unfortunate other player, and Trevor found himself in the penalty box. As he sat there, he stared at the ice, carefully paying attention to the game, but allowing his thoughts to shift ever so slightly from the game to the sight awaiting him when he got home.

   The drive home was painless, and Trevor could do it in his sleep. Before he knew it, he was parking his Orange Bronco and making his way up to his house. Now, the first sign should have been the fact that all the lights were out. However, maybe Olivia was in a back room, perhaps watching TV, maybe she was watching the game. Trevor entered alone. He still lived with Jamie, but Jamie was spending the night at his girlfriend's house. Something that meant that he and Olivia were about to have a wonderful time, just the two of them. And maybe they will. Just not yet.

   Once Trevor opened the front door and heard the beep of the alarm system, he knew he was the only one there. Quickly he punched in the alarm code, effectively silencing the beeping. He shut the front door behind him, and walked towards the kitchen. Suddenly, it hit him. Tonight was Olivia’s cousin's 21st birthday, and Olivia went out to celebrate with her and some friends.

   He was now standing in the kitchen, unsure of what to do. Olivia had told him earlier that he was more than welcome to join them at the bar they were at, if he was down for it, after his game. Trevor knew he shouldn’t feel like this, but he was a little annoyed she had not watched the game. His darling Olivia never missed a game, attending them the majority of the time, or if not, watching it at home. He knew that he wasn’t the center of her world and she led her own beautiful, strong willed life. But there was something about tonight that was just rubbing him the wrong way, leaving him jaded that she had not caught his game.

   As if on cue, the door opened again. Trevor turned and saw her coming in the front door. His brown eyes met her glazed hazel ones, and a serene smile graced her lips. All 5 foot 2 of her was the picture of perfection, in trevors eyes. She was quick to toss her phone and clutch on the couch nearby, and make her way over to him. “I missed you, babe,” Olivia said, while wrapping her arms around his musculaur frame. He inhaled deeply. God her scent, it had the power to wash away all his woes of the day. Her arms, surrounding him and pulling him into a place of comfort. She was his home.

   And just like that, Trevors off day turned into a beautiful night, in the arms of his love.
