{info}: instead of their rooms, i’ve decided to give you a background on each ocs love life. so whether they’ve dated or not, those who are interested in them, who they are interested in, possibly who i might put them with, but i might leave that up to you.

Who has Mei dated?

Absolutely no one. She dedicated seven years of her life to training to be an idol so she was never too worried about having a boyfriend. There were always some trainees that liked her, a few Treasure Box contestants that caught her eye, but Mei never wanted to act on it. She was laser focused and nothing was going to stop her. She’s a single pringle and she’s okay with it, for now.

Six Sentence Sunday/Creative Proof of Life

Thanks for the tags, @alexalexinii, @shrekgogurt, and @that-disabled-princess!

This WIP post is basically a proof of life statement. I can't believe it's been over a month since I posted Chapter 1 of the Haunting of Simon Snow. I'm so overdue for chapter 2, BUT... instead I finished writing the rough draft. I've been attempting to outline, because when I rough a draft, I really rough it up. Ahem.

So I have been working on it, even if there is zero evidence on AO3 as of yet.

How about some sentences? I haven't sliced up chapters yet, so not sure if this is from chapter two or three, but here's a snippet of Simon on the phone with Penny expressing some smooshy sentiments:

I curl up on the couch a bit more, maneuvering myself so my wings aren’t crushed. “I went flying last night,” I confess then, in quiet tones. Like someone might hear me. “You— Oh, but… You can’t! What if someone sees you?” I can actually hear her biting her lip. She wants to spell my problems away, and she can’t. “But I can,” I say, smiling a bit more. “There’s no one around for acres. No one will even willingly drive here on account of the house being haunted. It’s empty. And I’m flying at night.” I say flying in the present tense and realize I fully intend to fly again tonight.

Penny huffs. Her specialty. “I don’t like it.” “I do,” I say easily, warming up to explaining, hoping she’ll understand. “It’s so freeing, Pen. Like the weight of the world can’t hold me down, anymore. I feel… It’s like… It’s like I’m closer to the stars. Like I’m close to stirring up the milky way.” I let out a sigh, my eyes closing as I drop my head back, indulging in that recent memory. “I don’t hate it as much, when I’m up there. You know?” There’s a few seconds of silence, and I open my eyes again. “Pen?” “Hate what?” she asks quietly.

Bit more info on my progress (maybe some whinging) and tags and hellos below the cut!

Fun facts about my ineffecient writing process:

I spent more than one or two hours clearing asterisks from my rough draft this morning. (Because discord has trained me to do *this* when I write instead of this.) Because I'm trying to listen to my draft via screen readers, but it keeps sounding like "asterisk-impossible-star-fuck me" (that's my favorite one honestly, it's supposed to read "Impossible. Fuck me.") which is really annoying (more often than amusing). ANYWAY… what this has revealed to me is that I use "Fuck" a lot, as well as "So good." Ahem. Take from that what you will.

BTW, I'm sure there's an easier way to do that than manually. Please don't tell me for at least a few days, or I might lose it. I am but a mortal being, with a tattered heart and patience worn thin. (Or something.)

To cap off this pride month, a few of my queer headcanons for Carmen Sandiego (2019) characters!

I headcanon Player as a trans boy and Carmen as a trans woman! I also definitely think Carmen's sapphic but I don't have a more specific identity in mind for her.

Julia is a lesbian ofc. Her shirt is inspired by this retro lesbian shirt! If I had seen it before inking I would have made it an actual shirt with a collar and all but alas I saw it too late.

And I headcanon Devineaux as a trans man. His jacket was heavily based on this vintage jacket, obviously with the colors reworked. That's his new lucky coat probably.

(I have headcanons for other characters but since they're less fixed I won't talk about them here)

erina sleeps soundly in her room, with her head tucked into her chest.

[baby is sleeping like an infant]

doyoung and yedam marvel at her sleeping position, with her back completely curved inwards and her head stretched to her chest.

"wow, how can she sleep like that?" "won't this position hurt her upper back and neck?"

"cmon let's take a picture quickly" they push their face up to erina's blanket-covered face [in a deep sleep, she miraculously didn't even move a muscle]

they attempt to wake her up with a song but that doesn't work

[dumbfounded at the failed wakeup concert]

they decide to rock her back and forth to get her up from her deep sleep state

"ahh...no please..my head hurts" "please oppa...i can't"

[they laugh at her whining and console her]

" ah..please.. five minutes more!"

do this mission and we will let you sleep [doyoung coaxes her out of her sleep cocoon]

"name all treasure members in 10 seconds" "ready...go!"

"choi hyunsuk, park jihoon, yoshi, junkyu, mashiho, yoon jaehyuk, asahi, bang yedam, doyoung, haruto jeongwoo, junghwan" erina spits out in a grogily state.

[erina impressively completes mission in 6 seconds]

"oHO just like a rapper!" yedam exclaims [the maknae is an all rounder] "now you can sleep" doyoung tucks her back into bed, and she nods clumsily and goes back to sleep

“last night she was making a track, I guess she slept late” ye dam tells the camera

“Our member works so hard, she needs all the sleep she can get” [hard working princess needs sleep]

"doyoung definitely looks after erina" yedam remarks

"so, i have posters of all the anime and shows I'm watching, and the oldest one I have is of pokemon" "I bought it when I was 9"

"what is your favorite pokemon?" "definitely pikachu, but evee is the cutest and best pokemon" "she evolves into all types of elements everyone!" she exclaims cutely, making both the members coo at her and exclaim "cute!"

i also have my desk with some art and craft things, my desktop where I make music, and some textbooks" "oh, so are they all in English?" "except for language textbooks, yes they are all in English" "oh our baby is so smart everyone, study hard!"

so what is the rating?" erina inquires. "hmm..since it was so clean and tidy, we both decide to give an 8.5" "Ah thank you" [she smiles at the rating, showing off her eye smile]

Yeojun was first introduced through the YG survival show, Mix & Match, where he was often criticized for his lack of training and skill in comparisons to the other contestants. Despite this, he was put into the final line up becoming the group’s maknae.

Yeojun officially debuted with the 'pre-single' "My Type" was released with a music video on September 15, 2015. Though the group proved to be wildly successful and consistently growing in popularity, Yeojun struggled to keep up with the group’s rigorous touring schedules and constant promotions.

Yeojun stayed with the group up until 2019, leaving shortly after member B.I left. In a lengthy hand written letter published to his personal Instagram, Yeojun explained why he left the group, citing problems with the company and management which were effecting his mental health. He clarified he had no bad blood with the members and they were in no way the reason for his departure. He expressed his love and gratitude towards the members even apologizing for having to leave the team, during such a difficult time.

He received mixed reactions for his departure, some supporting his decision while some called him selfish. Theories online speculate Yeojun was involved in the drug scandal as well and YG was getting rid of the mess before they had to clean it up. Yeojun has never spoken on these claims.

After working as a producer all throughout 2020, he signed with Angelico Entertainment in late 2021. Many speculated he would be a soloist or a producer and were shocked to see him redebut in a co-ed group.

Yeojun re-debuted in Pushing Daisies as their main rapper and lead dancer, saying his mental health was doing a lot better since leaving YG Entertainment and joining his new group.

Strange World almost felt heavy handed with how Made For Millenials, By Millenials it was, and I do not mean that in a bad way.

Everything from casting to script, the dialouge flow to the final scene of living in harmony with the world- it feels straight out of the Millenial Ecologist's handbook and I loved it!
