hi ! ive made a tumblr theme inspired by sanrio characters. its my first theme, hope you like it !

this is a desktop theme with one sidebar and one column for posts. all the colors are customizable and you can also change the lil character in the corner. there is no infinite scroll, only pagination.

Energy Vampires

an odd phenomenon that i found out about through a reading. a friend of mine said i have “similarities to energy vampires.” it was interesting.

energy vampires are defined as “a creature in folklore said to feed off the "life force" of other living creatures. The term can also be used to describe a person who gets increased energy around other people, but leaves those other people exhausted or "drained" of energy.[1] Psychic vampires are represented in the occult beliefs of various cultures and in fiction.” according to wikipedia.

now, let me say this, i’m not an energy vampire in a normal sense. i’m quite the reversed version of one. i gain a lot of energy around people, but sometimes, i will be drained by being around them too long. i need time to recharge and recover — and sometimes that recovery can take days.

could this simply be explained as being an “introvert?” yeah. but i’m not an introvert. i’m quite the outgoing, energetic person of my friend group.

and when i’m not with them, i tend to be self sufficient in my energy. being calm, and relaxed. it’s almost as if without them, my normal state is “dormant” in a way.

when i’m only here, on tumblr, i tend to be much more serious. my blogs are more serious, my thought processes are more serious, and even my readings.

and it isn’t because i think tumblr is my job or im a professional in this field, its because this is my resting state, like a vampire in a coffin.

during my readings, i can easily connect to one’s energy and understand it — almost making it my own. this could be my empathic ability, but i also feel as if it can be this energy vampire thing too.

all in all, i’m genuinely asking other people who know about this to tell me more. i’m interested and curious. i don’t think im a bad person/energy vampire because i tend to make friends easily and they don’t seem to be tired of me/ tired when we are speaking. (@smellofemale can attest to this) i hope i can get some help with this. if you have any advice/places i should look, lmk.
